They’ve been in business for a long time, so they must be doing something right. I’ve been a customer over 35 years to back when it wagon the corner of New Dorp Lane and New Dorp Plaza when it was known as GeorgesIt’s a pleasure to do business there.

Best hair salon on Staten Island. All the women are very personable. Make you feel like it’s an extended family. I go to Melissa but any of the stylists are well worth it. Try them you won’t be disappointed.

I’m very disappointed because this salon had decent reviews. This is the worst haircut I’ve gotten in a long time. She literally cut my hair in 5 minutes and you can tell. The style looks like my grandma’s in 1985, it’s so outdated. I think it would have been much better if she had done a bit of texturizing which pretty much all stylists do these days. The stylist was nice enough although she didn’t ask me a single personal question or try to build any sort of relationship so that I’d want to return. She did spend some time giving me styling tips so that is why the 2 stars. I really thought it was one of those cases where you can go home and play with it to get it how you like which is why I didn’t say anything there. Sadly, I played with it and it’s still awful. I will not return and I would not recommend this salon.

Went there twice with my husband and both times been disappointed. I don’t get what i ask for, i get rushed and they have no clue how to handle ethnic hair. Its inexpensive and you get what you pay for. Never again.

Always flexible with scheduling and never a complaint on their service. Dawn is an excellent stylist.

price is reasonable, haircut good, but not worth the wait, and the sad part about that is the place is never crowded, the owner and staff just seem to chit chat way to much, way to casual and forget that they have customers with schedules. Very down to earth place, but a little attentiveness and professionalism fits any salon be they a High Priced Salon or this place. Would not recommend

These girls have been cutting my hair since they were at George’s and I was 8 years old. I live in Chicago now and still wait for visits home to get my hair done. They are great at what they do and charge below average prices to do it.
