Once again my experience at ink couture was pleasurable! ! They are very welcoming and accommodating to your need! Extremely clean also… I recommend ink couture if your a newbie they are very helpful..

Came to this shop through a friend’s recommendation as I wanted to start a full sleeve. I met with Frank, the owner, who was so attentive and made my nervous self feel at ease… he assigned who he thought was the appropriate artist for the piece I wanted…(Jayvo Scott who happened to be on Inkmaster) within minutes I knew it was the perfect fit… Every visit to the shop has been beyond comfortable and each addition to my sleeve is more beautiful than the last… I can’t recommend this place more!

I had a very negative experience with a particular artist at this shop. I came in with a very specific design of a lotus flower I wanted tattooed on the back of my neck. Seven insisted on changing a few things in the design, so it would not look like other people’s who may have that same design. I was fine with that, but anything I suggested he completely dismissed. Also, by the time it was done, it looked like a plain old generic lotus flower, nothing original about it! It looks nothing like the original design i brought in. He was pushy and arrogant, and I am mad at myself for not walking out instead of letting him tattoo me. The artwork is not bad at all, it is just absolutely not what i asked for. If you want any say in what your tattoo will look like, don’t go to Seven. He doesn’t seem to care what his customer is asking, only what he feels like doing.

Love Ink Couture! I got my nipples pierced yesterday by Seven and it was a great experience. The shop was clean and designed very nicely. Seven was funny & charismatic. Made me feel so comfortable and into our conversation to the point that when he was done I forgot to pull my bra up. He also gave me some great life advice on some personal troubles I’m having; even after the piercing was done. Everything was sterile and clean and the piercing went quick & smoothly. Thanks Seven and Ink Couture :)

This place is such an amazing find. All my family and friends have gone here and will not go anywhere else to get tattoos or piercings. The place is meticulously clean, which makes you feel very comfortable knowing people will be working on you here. My husband got a very nice tattoo done and my daughters also have gone here for their tattoos and peircings. Seven, the tattoo artist does a beautiful job and is very skillful in his trade. The owner, Frank Russo is very professional and friendly and does everything he can for his customers. They have great deals for people in various fields of work too.

This place was very clean and aesthetically pleasing. I got my piercing from a guy named Seven. He was very talented and knew what he was doing. All the instruments used were sterile and clean. The only downside I have is that he did not go over aftercare piercing instructions like most places do!!! He just said «there ya go, looks good.» I found that a bit odd.
Also, they charge $ 10 for using a credit/​debit card for payment. There is an ATM in the back that charges $ 3 to pull out cash. Overall, really good experience. If your looking for your piercer to be overly outgoing this place isn’t for you. But if you just want something pierced and done well with experience I would highly recommend!

Amazing artists. Portraits seem to be a specialty of theirs. The owner is very personable and down to earth. This place is super clean and bright. Definitely worth the money I spent.

I got my amazing side piece that goes from my rib to my thigh done here and I can say that this is the place to go! I’m happy with my piece, Everyone that works there are super nice and the artists are some of the best around! Not to mention the parlor is beautiful and always clean… I truly feel comfortable walking into the parlor at any time. So if your looking for a great tattoo or piercing environment I highly recommend ink couture!

I have seen first hand the art that comes out of Ink Couture! All of the artists have pride in their work and it shows… The owner goes to great lengths to make sure all of the guests/​clients coming in, are happy with their tattoos. He will even sit chair side for encouragement and support of who ever is getting their tattoos done. State of the art sanitary techniques to say the least… I say «art» because that is exactly what tattoos are! The artist’s in this studio are very skilled… I have 1 artist in California and Ink Couture will be the only place I go to in New York! Everyone here is amazing…

This shop is not only clean and inviting it has some of the most talented artists in the area. The staff is friendly and you always feel welcome. I recommend going here to anyone be it your first tattoo or your 100^th tattoo you know you’re getting a great piece of art coming from these fantastic artists.

If I could give this business more stars I would! All I have to say is that this is by far the best tattoo shop on Staten Island and even jersey! The owner is a wonderful person and will always make sure you are completely taken care of! And my tattoo artist is Seven and I have been going to him for years since I was legally able to get a tattoo in the state of NY! Seven has pierced me and is my tattoo artist. He is a wonderful artist and a very creative person. He is patient with my indecisiveness of what I want and is completely on my level of what I want from my tattoos. He is a very educated, knowledgeable and an insightful person. Everyone at ink Courtre is very nice. And the place is outstanding, we all no how hard it is to keep white floors clean and there always glistening! Anyone who wants a GREAT experience and an OUTSTANDING piece of art on their body, has to go to ink couture! Follow them on Instagram to see their work and give them a shot! One of my greatest regrets in life is deciding to get a tattoo at Ink Couture. Now I have a travesty on me FOR LIFE as well as a bad taste in my mouth from the creepy tattoo «artist» who did it. It’s a fairly large hip/​side piece and I seriously walked out half way through. I was getting extremely annoyed with the artist constantly trying to flirt with me, and when I got up for a break and really looked at it I was horrified, the lines were so choppy and thickened to try to hide mistakes (which weren’t hid, just MORE mistakes). Now I’m going to an artist in Pennsylvania to try to finish/​fix it.

Fantastic experience. Not only was my artist accommodating and patient, he was personable and professional. My tattoo turned out to be way more than I expected. I had an initial consultation with the owner who spent a good amount of time making sure I got exactly what I wanted and that I was comfortable. Highly recommend.

Very clean & courteous employees. The tattoo artists are great. The artist that did my tattoo is Jayvo Scott. He might be there only 1 day a month and he’s worth the wait. Jayvo took time to ask me what I wanted and colors that I love. It’s not your typical colored butterfly.
There was also a consultation meeting before I went to my tattoo appointment.
Was also recommend by friends.
This artist was on that tattoo competition show & all their artists are gifted.

My review is not a review of the location itself, which is very clean, but of one of the artists that works there, which is why I gave it two stars — the artist himself I would give absolutely zero. As he was working on my piece, there were several times when I attempted to convey my concerns, which he brushed off. The original stencil he did was appropriate, but when he completed the piece, he had botched up some of the lines, making legs bend in strange directions — instead of acknowledging this, he said he did it ‘as part of the design’. The colors he selected healed incredibly poorly (I have had other color work done and they all healed up just fine), and fell out within only a few months. He also took almost seven hours to get the work done. When I looked at his Instagram later, there were photos of him smoking controlled substances — he had been high the vast majority of the time he was working on me! The finished piece was so crappy and fell out so bad that I ended up having to get the entire thing redone — it looks a ton better, and took the guy less than three hours. I don’t know about any of the other artists there, but stay away from the ‘inkmaster’ (who didn’t even come close to winning) Mark.
RE FRANK R.:
At the time, Mark Matthews was actively and visibly employed at your parlor, and as such I feel that his actions and performance reflect on the shop.
In addition, after he did my tattoo I called and spoke with you about what happened, only to be brushed off. I was also told that you would follow up with me after you spoke with him about if, which you did not. If your artist is going to conduct illegal activities (whether it is legal in the state or not, it was still a federal crime to smoke, and a huge no-​no to tattoo while high) that are public (in this case Instagram), that becomes the shop owner’s responsibility to manage.
I am glad that he is not representing you any longer, and hope that his actions with me are not typical of what he did while employed there.

You still did not follow up or say anything about how you felt regarding this.
You may not be able to control what an artist does while guest spotting, but you can certainly discuss how they conduct themselves regarding the impact their actions have on the way your business is viewed. These images were posted on IG, as I said, which is incredibly public. For your response as a shop owner to be to brush off and then ignore someone who had a bad experience with someone actively representing your shop shows no accountability on your part as well as a complete lack of customer service. My review stands.

Had a tattoo done by an artist in this shop who said if there was anything that needed to be touched up he would for free after it healed. Went back to get a small touch up of a wobbly line and a line he forgot from the original design and he was extremely rude and told me that he wouldn’t do it (after I just drove two hours from eastern Long Island). I contacted the owner who seemed to be concerned about how I was treated he said he would look into it and get back to me the next day. Never heard back from him after that. Went to another shop they not only fixed the lines but they redid the shading and it came out 1000 times better.
I don’t want to bash any of the other artists at this location because I’m not sure how they are but sixx and the owner frank have left me with a bad taste for this place and how they treat their customers.
And frank as per your comment below I never spoke to you on the phone and never ever said I would never drive out there again. If you want I can post our entire correspondence on here as I have saved it all.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Not only is this shop run by pure professionals, it’s absolutely immaculate, and the artists are all top notch, wonderfully talented individuals that do right by their clients. In November I had a gorgeous one of a kind piece of art done by Johnny and to say that I was pleased is an extreme understatement. I have since had many friends get inked here and all have been more than pleased as well. Friday, I am going to have a very special portrait done and can’t wait. I wouldn’t trust anyone but ink couture staff with this tattoo.
This place is a must for anyone in the market for some ink.

For Ink lovers… Ink Couture, owned and operated by Frank Russo @ 6264 Amboy Road in Staten Island, NY … is the place to go. It’s incredibly off the hook ~ totally state of the art. Immaculate. It’s a place you don’t want to leave. The Artists are amazing, as is the owner, Frank. You actually have to see this place to believe it’s beauty and elegance. T-​Shirts, Bling, and other items for sale are arranged impeccably in display cases. If you are in the market for a new Tattoo or piercing, make a little field trip to Ink Couture and enjoy! I know you will return… We are definitely fans and you have to see this place to believe it. It takes a lot to make me rave about something — and this is my new interest! I am so loving it… I know you will too…
