The nastiest customer service i hae ever received anywhere. Sephora and the Men’s department like to hang up on thier customers and are very short with you when you ask a simple question. I originally called the Sephora department just to find out if they had a lipstick in stock. The first girl i spoke to put me on hold after being very short with me and cutting me off, only to put me on to another associate without even telling me. The second associate, when i asked about restocking said item, gave me the«i don’t know, you’ll have to check back» response with such attitude, and hung up on me as well before i could even say«Okay thanks anyway«. I immediately called JCPenney back in hopes of getting into contact with a direct manager of the entire store. I pressed ‘0’ hoping to speak to an operator or someone who could connect me, but was transferred to the Men’s department instead. A rep from the Men’s department answered and after breifly explaining my situation to him, i asked him if there was a direct general manager that i could speak with. He told me that he’d transfer me back to sephora and i told him that i didn’t feel comfortable speaking with anyone in that department because of how rude the reps were. He proceeded to say«well then I can’t help you» and HANGSUP! as someone who works in retail management, let me tell you, if this is how they treat customers then some serious retraining NEEDS to be done. I have never experienced this ANYWHERE. I’ve already reached out to thier corporate office.

I will say that there Big and Tall section is good. Online is even better, the associates are helpful. I thing the management of the store needs work. From the layout to the organization of staff placement. Work on it, please! Goodluck, and well wishes!

The customer service is so poor here that my friend asked me to write a Unilocal review. We were looking for Baptism dresses at 5 on a Tuesday. We scoured the baby section and could not find the dresses OR any employee to guide us. We asked the cashier in the section that had a long line for advice and she had no idea if they have any. Finally I tried to call the store and got hung up on. It was a very disappointing experience for such a wonderful occasion.

Caught upping their prices by $ 10 just before the sale on October 10th2014. Just when they are getting their old customers back they give them the shaft!

There were no store directories near the escalators or anywhere else. There were no staff members available on the floor to ask about where to find the children’s department. Once I got there, it wasn’t very well lit. The merchandise I was looking for was not easy to find, and once I found it — it was located up above the floor and I had to find someone to help me(that took a while) to get the stuff down off of the wall with a pole. Why are pajamas so valuable that they need to be so inconveniently high up? The line at the register was long and the wait was too long. I knew exactly what I needed to buy there and it took so long because of the lack of service and how inconvenient the store it. Finally, while she was checking me out, the woman waiting on me did not allow me to se a coupon on my phone. She pretended to put the numbers on the coupon into the register but she did not. In sum, this place sucks, and even if I know they have what I am looking for I will have to be desperate to shop there.

I Come here once in a blue moon… and every time I come here I end up taking hours looking for stuff because of how disorganized this place is… only thing I really like about this place is sephora. have a really big and well organized sephora located inside this JC penny… they do have many sales during the holidays. which is great… but the only problem is the sales are sometimes deceiving… you have to purchases this with that… kinda annoying… There stuffs are ok… I like there stuff for the kitchen… can be pricy. clothes are so so… The staff aren’t helpful at alll… ask a question and just point out there signs everywhere… um I guess they are too busy showing me the exact area.they.make the shopping experience not enjoyable… this place has two floors…

Although they are constantly renovating, I’m just not a fan. I don’t like the quality of their clothes or the brands they carry. Everything seems cheap & their staff tends to be slow. The store is always empty, so you never have to worry about beating the crowd. Prices are cheap. You can find odds and ends for your house or a last minute something if needed, but just not my cup of tea.

The clothes in here are decent and their organization is also decent. the prices are also pretty good, some of the problems are that the staff usually looks like they escaped from the senior citizens home and that usually scares away younger generations from shopping here. Another downside is that the store really seems to cater to women and the selection for men is much more limited and well… scarce lol
