I initially wanted to do lasik about 10 years ago, had gone for a regular eye exam and been told I was a good candidate. At some point I researched LASIK many times and basically found nothing but horror stories. In the past year or so I began to ask around of people who had done the procedure and without exception, everyone told me it was one of the best decisions they had ever made. So, I decided to get a consult with Dr. Motafavi(Ray, there are 2. The other DR. is his brother) who was referred to me third hand through a friend’s father. I went in wearing progressives. If I wore contacts, I had to wear readers as well. Dr. Mostafavi told me I was a good candidate but cautioned me that I would still need reading glasses. I decided to go ahead and do it. I was very comfortable with the doctor and felt that he was candid and professional. His office is fresh and clean and the organization professional. Sue, who is his LASIK liaison, is responsive and helpful and, as I have made various scheduling changes, can tell you they are exceptionally professional. The heart of the organization though is Dr. Motafavi. I can not believe that it is possible that I am the first Unilocal reviewer. I expected to see many reviews so surmise that everyone, like, me is so happy that they do not bother to review because they are off enjoying their lives. Dr. Mostafavi rocks. He is thorough, friendly, professional but most importantly, highly qualified and competent. Research him if you doubt me. I am three weeks out from my procedure and marvel at my vision. I am literally looking forward to all that I see. It is a gift that you should give yourself if you need vision correction. I wish I did it ten years ago, but then again, I might not have had such an exceptional doctor, so am happy I waited and thad the experience I did.
