Lighting World

Great store. Very big selection, anybody could find something for their style and price range. They also negotiate on prices. There is some of the gaudy, huge, all crystal pieces but there is a decent amount of modern moore contemporary stuff. Also their own parking lot makes life easier.

I was trying to find a chandelier that turns out had been discontinued by the manufacture. I had spent hours on-​line in search of it, calling many vendors when I called Lighting World and spoke with Joey he confirmed as the others had that it was no longer available, but suggested I consider a somewhat similar model and pointed me to the website with a picture of it. I have to admit my first reaction was that it seemed a bit over the top for what I had in mind. We talked about what I was looking for in the lighting piece and my décor/​taste. He reassured me that he had seen this chandelier in person and it was beautiful and I wouldn’t be disappointed. I took Joey’s word and went ahead and order edit. Joey even gave me a very nice discount. It arrived within a few days and it is now hung. I LOVE it… Everyone who sees it, loves it!. It turned out to be perfect chandelier and transformed the room. I’m very thankful that I called Lighting World and spoke with Joey. He knows his lighting, listened to my needs, wasn’t pushy about the sale, and delivered on his word.

Best place in NYC to buy lighting. I have been back to the store about 3 times, I dealt with Albert and his daughter Claudine who were extremely helpful. They spent a lot of time helping me with the proper dimensions of my chandelier based on the height and size of my rooms, and going through the performance of different fans. OVERALL GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE AND PRICING.
