Exactly what I don’t like about this place is that it is «meh.» You hear all these stories about Brooklyn, and how it used to be Alba’s and«da neighba-hood changed so now it’s hea.» Whatever. This place is no better or worse than any Italian bakery on Staten Island. I suppose even bakers from Brooklyn lose their edge once they cross the Verrazzano. Perhaps the bridge collects more than just a toll, it also takes your soul?(See what I did there?) Don’t know, don’t care. I enjoy telling people I don’t like this place, because they get confused. But then they take a bite, and they get depressed that they have to agree with me. If you have to get something here, try anything that is explicity old-school pastry, like a tart, or sfingi. Don’t bother with their cakes, and don’t even try anything not Italian like a pumpkin or fruit pie of any sort.

DONOTWASTEYOURTIME! I have been a customer of this place since it’s opening here on Staten Island. The baker was part of «Alba’s» in Brooklyn which was unbelievable… But out here he has been anything but disappointing. From stale pastries to soggy pastries to rock hard cookies and now the most upsetting and final straw of all MOLDCOVEREDSTRAWBERRIESON A BIRTHDAYCAKE! Unless it’s a new fangled fashion it’s pathetic and sickening … Worst of all every time you complain the obnoxious Italian owner is not at all accepting of criticism… Will never shop here again and they are about to get their cake delivered tomorrow back in their faces!

Outstanding customer service and always delicious cakes and pastries. Cannolis are a favorite. The owner, Angelo does lots of the deliveries himself to make sure customers are happy. I have ordered my kids birthday cakes and holiday pastries here for the past few years. Love them!

Sweet! Cute little bakery right on Hylan. Cannoli, cakes, pignoli cookies and yummiest custards. Open late — which makes it a perfect place to satisfy your sweet tooth after dinner. There is also outdoor seating area to chill in summer time. PS. Ogle at that giant 3′ cannoli in the window while you here. O.M.G.

Just had pumpkin pie from here for thanksgiving. It was salty!!! How is a pumpkin pie salty. It was not even edible. Everyone at my house complained. So gross.

The pastries here are good, their cakes are nice, clean environment and friendly staff, nice layout with plenty to choose from, an actual Italian baker and a nice outside patio to have coffee on. They even deliver!
