I ordered from this place for the 1st time today. I clearly stated that I was in a office building on the 3rd floor and I needed it delivered to that spot(I am handicapped and cannot make the trip up and down with ease). After 30 minutes I get a phone call from a man who barely spoke English and said I needed to come down to get the order. I said I cannot and that there is a parking lot right on the side of the building. I even said I would add the quarter it would take to park for 15 minutes and he hung up on me. I called the main number and they said they would call the driver back…45 minutes passed and I called back again and they said that they would NOT deliver to me now. Unreal. I hope they go out of business and soon.

This place is always consistent. For the price you can’t beat it! The Singapore Chow Mei Fun is excellent.

I really wanted to give this place a positive review because I’m a huge fan of mom-and-pop establishments, but I can’t. It was pretty bad, even by cheap-Chinese-food standards. The main problem is that, although the portion sizes were generous, there was very little meat. My pepper steak with onions was mostly onions, with only a few pieces of small, fatty, chewy meat. Where’s the beef? My sweet and sour pork(yes, I ordered two meals — one for that day, one for the next) was mostly just deep-fried flour and cornstarch. A couple of pieces didn’t contain any pork at all. Also, my pork fried rice(which came with each entrée) was mostly fried rice, with just a few tiny pieces of pork.(At least, I think it was pork.) I found each meal surprisingly soggy, and the sweet and sour sauce tasted like pure vinegar.(Perhaps they just added red food coloring?) I felt kind of sick after eating the sweet and sour pork. Also, the delivery person lingered at the door for a tip, which was a bit awkward/uncomfortable since I had already put a 20% tip on the credit card.(I used the restaurant’s online ordering service.) Now that I’ve covered the negatives, let’s get to the positives: The portion sizes were big, the prices were fantastic(five bucks for an entrée, pork fried rice and egg drop soup? Can’t beat that!), and the food arrived hot and fairly quickly. These positives simply don’t make up for the problems discussed above, and if you’re looking for quick Chinese food, I’d recommend looking elsewhere. Hopefully the restaurant is able to resolve these problems(maybe they were swamped? Maybe they were having an off day?), because I’d really like to give them a second chance.

Its good and cheap. Sometimes its a miss and others is a hit. Not very consistent with food. Its the only one close to work so no much choice. They do make some nice dumplings :0

as my roommate won’t be eating leftovers from yesterday, he decided he’d like to treat us for dinner tonight — we ordered for delivery general tso chicken, steam dumpling, pu pu platter(chicken bbq, spring roll, beef slices, etc), & vegetable lo mein. not bad — basically tasted the same to me as with regular chinese-food-to-go from other food places — they almost taste generic to me LOL. actually, the servings are good for 2 people. quick delivery service, though(i should say). i think what made the dinner memorable was the fact that we, roommates, were breaking the bread together… felt more homey than usual…
