Graet service. Their Pork Chop Phở is phenomenal!!! I’ve been going to this spot for the past 2 years and I’ve never had something i did not like. If you go there make sure you asked to be seated upstairs in one of the tall booths for a romantic dinner.

Amazing food and service!!! My husband and I can’t get enough, it’s a hidden gem on the island. Whenever I have friends visiting I make sure to bring them here. Spring rolls are a most, any type of phở(which we typically prefer pork or chicken), and the vermicelli bowls are amazing too! And please finish your meal with a mango bubble tea, you will not regret!

Not bad, came here with the family and in law. Fairly small but apparently they have a second floor as well

I love this restaurant this my go to place for work lunches! At work I usually eat in and don’t go out cause of my work load so I wish they delivered but even though they do not it is still so worth it!

Great phở, for a cold winters night! Service is excellent, the menu is very reasonable for the large portions.

It’s nice to have a Vietnamese restaurant on Staten Island, so I don’t have to always drive out to Brooklyn for a quick fix of phở. Phở Mac is your typical Vietnamese restaurant that you would find anywhere in Brooklyn. It’s not authentic Vietnamese, if that’s what you’re looking for. The restaurant itself is very clean compared to the ones out in Brooklyn, which is what sets itself apart. Moreover, the staff are all very nice and welcoming. However, the food here is a bit disappointing. The soup in the phở is never warm enough to disperse the noodles, so they’re always stuck together. The flavor of the soup is ok, but nothing extraordinary. I’ve tried the beef cube with fried rice before as well and that was a huge disappointment. Although the beef was good, the fried rice had too much egg in it, which made the fried rice taste very bland. Their summer rolls are alright, but it’s definitely not made fresh upon ordering. Granted, summer rolls do not need to be made on the spot, but it would be more appetizing. Overall, it’s not a bad place to get a quick meal, but for someone who eats phở A LOT it’s not that great. However, it sure beats driving over the bridge whenever I’m craving for phở.

My absolute favorite food in the neighborhood. So delicious and fresh. Grilled pork phở/ban is to die for. Also the lemonade is a the best I’ve ever had. *****

There’s not a lot of options when it comes to Phở in Staten Island, so this is a pretty good place considering your options. Their phở could be better. I always get the one with everything in it I think it’s called Combination special. The price is pretty reasonable. The calamari is good. Worth getting as an appetizer for sure. The summer rolls are pretty decent. The staff is pretty friendly. Would definitely go back if I’m ever in the area, but like I said the choices in SI are pretty limited.

Love how clean this place is. Staff is friendly and I love their beef cubes, spring rolls, and their bubble tea. Nothing coola that Siracha sauce with some mango bubble on the side.

I’ve been here a few times with my cousin who loves the phở. I’ve never had it, so can’t comment on that. Every time I come here I get the pork with rice noodles bowl. It’s soooo delicious and the pork is perfectly seasoned. It’s a small place, but the décor is really nice and it’s always clean. The tea they serve is great as well, nice start to the meal.

As 1 out of around 10100% Vietnamese families living on the island, I am always skeptical when a «vietnamese» restaurant would open because the food never taste authentic to me. Sure it’ll taste similar enough, but it’s not 100% Viet food. Luckily, Phở Mac does not disappoint. My family and I come here often enough to celebrate birthdays and the such and we never have anything bad to say about this place. The food definitely does NOT taste like home, and we can cook pretty much all of these foods at home ourselves, but it’s just good to know that there’s a restaurant nearby that can value authenticity and taste as much as we do. I always try the phở whenever I step into any Vietnamese restaurant, that’s the only way I can judge if they really know how to make authentic Viet food. So far, the phở I’ve tasted here is pretty much mediocre. I have nothing good nor bad to say about it. Traditional phở is supposed to be 100% beef broth, but I can tell they mix both beef and chicken broth to make the soup(you will notice big fat globules in the soup, that comes from chicken broth, beef broth doesn’t make fat floating globules). I don’t blame them… pure beef broth takes hours to make, not to mention it can get expensive so cutting corners is the only option for most restaurants. What I recommend getting here is the calamari appetizer, I forgot the actual name of it but it’s basically stir fried squid with bell peppers and there is a sauce on the side for you to dip in. It’s probably what keeps my family from going there time after time! We always have to order at least 2 plates of it. So in conclusion, I’ll keep coming here, but I will try other things on their menu besides the phở.

Being one of the only two Vietnamese restaurants on Staten Island, I no longer have to worry about my phở withdrawals when in the vicinity. Although their spring rolls are subpar, I actually enjoy their hearty bowls of steaming phở more than the Brooklyn-chained ‘Phở Hoai’. Their beefy broth is flavorful and rich, yet light. It’s served along with a fistful of noodles brimmed with tenderized meats and other floating delicacies. Add a dash of hoisin-sriracha sauce and order a side of grilled pork chop or grilled chicken for a soul satisfying meal.

Suitable, that’s all. My table started with the spring and summer rolls since the photos on Unilocal looked great. Every place does summer rolls a little differently, Phở Mac uses lots of rice noodles, scallion, shrimp, and a little lettuce. The peanut sauce has all the flavor here. I’ve never seen spring rolls served with lettuce leaves, but I totally loved eating them all together with a little mint. Phở was just okay to me. I’ve had some really tasty phở back home and the broth here just doesn’t compare. They give you lemon instead of lime, bean sprouts and basil are served on the side, and hoisin and sriracha stays on the table. I needed all of it to be honest. The brisket added a lot of beef flavor so I recommend that over the loin. My friend’s Chinese dishes looked pretty good. The shrimp and vegetables came with a ton of fresh veggies, including the baby bok choy I stole from the plate. Service is fine, not really friendly, but they do well keeping the hot tea coming. Overall I say this is good. That’s all.

Consistently great food here at very reasonable prices. Get the iced coffee! Service is fine, not super friendly but never really bad. Parking is tight but you can easily park on the side street.

I’m so lucky to only live a block away from Phở Mac. I’ve been coming to this restaurant for years. When I come here, the freshness and quality do not disappoint. My favorite dishes are #45(Sautéed Beef Vermicelli), #62(Lemongrass squid with chili sauce) and pretty much any of the Phở bowls. The summer rolls are my absolute favorite along with the spring rolls. Taro bubble tea is great. I always bring my friends here and they are always impressed with the service, ambience, and food. If you’re looking for a great alternative to heavy common fast food Chinese take out, I honestly recommend Phở Mac. It’s light and filling with some of the best Asian flavor in Staten Island(which is rare in Staten Island).

One of the few Phở places on the Island! Hailing from Brooklyn, I’m used to the traditional Phở places that all look the same and that I’m convinced that they’re all owned by the same person so Phở Mac is a great, fresh alternative. The place is extremely clean and the food is extremely delicious and comes quick. And yes, the broth is to absolutely die for. I also love the spring and summer rolls — they are perfect additions to the noodle soup. Typically for two people, the meal will total $ 30, which really isn’t bad! There’s very little parking outside, so that may be a little rough. I’ve also been told that they have bubble tea(yay!).

I’ve been here so many times because it’s the only Viet place on SI. I don’t know why I never left a review, but here it is now!(Side note — I just discovered there is another Viet place in New Dorp so I must try that place to compare!). For as long as I could remember, the spring rolls here are not like the spring rolls I’ve gotten in the Viet places in Chinatown, 8th Ave or Flushing. These spring rolls are thinner, less meaty and the skin is different. I love to eat Viet spring rolls so every time I come here and order these spring rolls, I feel that disappointment all over again because these spring rolls are not the ones that I am used to. I still order them even though I know they are made differently. This place would certainly have 4 stars from me if they can just change the way they make their spring rolls. I feel this place skimps out on them so that is a major fail to me. Usually the spring rolls are super thick and meaty, but these are anorexic thin. I’ve had the phở and pork chops here. The pork chop on rice is literally what it sounds like — a piece of grilled pork chop on white rice. It’s pretty tasty and the pieces they give you are decent sized. I love the orange colored sauce they give you so you could pour it over your rice and pork chop. As for the phở, the phở here is good. I can’t say it is the best, but if you are feeling for some phở and you’re stuck on the island, come to Phở Mac. The only thing I have to add to this is that I’ve gotten food poisoning here before from the phở(#1). I’m sure it was an isolated situation since I’ve been back many times, but I just wanted to put it out there that I got sick. It’s been years since that incident and I’ve been back countless times however.

Small family run joint near the exit of the highway. Pretty convenient except there’s only 3 parking spots! Food: I ordered the rice noodle combo with spring rolls and grilled pork. I usually order this for the rice noodles and veggies and give the meat contaminated food to my friends. I’m not up to the meat level yet. So I set up my simple and light dish with two servings of the famous sauce and shred up some more veggies that usually comes with the spring rolls. I love my veggies! And bam! I created a new dish. Good stuff. Overall, it’s reasonable prices, good portion, good customer service, limited parking and you’ll leave satisfied.

Hands down the best Vietnamese, if not casual restaurant on Staten Island. I have been going here for YEARS and I have never been disappointed. The food is always super fresh and gets to your table with a short wait. The staff is very attentive and kind. I highly recommend the #1 Soup bowl, the portion is generous and they are not stingy on the meat that goes inside. The Spring rolls are always crispy and not super oily, which is a common problem I find in other restaurants. The summer rolls are outstanding and I personally enjoy them in the summer. Although I am not crazy about eating it with peanut sauce, I still really enjoy it. Another dish I would recommend is the grilled pork chops or the grilled beef cubes. The beef cubes are always so tender and again they do give a generous portion. The only thing that sucks is the parking situation. They share a small lot with other business next door and sometimes all the spots are taken, leaving you to park on side street. Personally Im not a fan of leaving my car on the side street but sometimes that the only option. And I do believe they are closed on Mondays, which is a MAJOR let down :(
