I was researching the best spot and noticed the reviews for this place. I wanted to share my story. I have been boycotting this place since 2006 when my son, who was six at the time, and I went to buy bagels. A young teen black girl was in front of us at the counter and was trying to buy a metro card. The clerk told her he only had the larger denominations. She asked again, as teens might do, so you don’t have the $ 5 card? The guy behind the counter yelled, no! Get out! The poor girl walked out of there, I’m sure humiliated and he had the nerve to look at me and ask, Are all black people stupid? My husband is black. I didn’t say a word to this fool. And so, I put my items down and walked out of the store with nothing and told my son we will never buy anything from that store again. When I put my son in the car, the first thing he asked me was, was he talking about dad. No one needs that kind of treatment.

An employee at this bagel shop broke the The Sexual Orientation Non-Discrimination Act(«SONDA») by telling a customer she looks«like a F**** dike». Do not support this type of hate by patronizing this establishment. It is 2016 and this is not acceptable!

I used to come here all the time as a kid for breakfast sandwiches and to buy random cold cuts and bagels. We used to buy cold cuts here every week(I love fresh cold cuts!), and we’d buy random junk food while we were at it. There’s no line/organization by the deli area, so you have to make sure they get your order as soon as you enter. The selection is sort of limited/small, but they do have all of the basics. This is a standard deli, but it’s the closest one to where I live so this is a regular stop for us.
