Got there at 2 minutes before closing. They were nice to accommodate. Price is still to beat, $ 11 for a pound of cookies. Can’t go wrong with that.

I absolutely love this bakery. The coffee is perfect and the cookies are always super fresh. This is one of the only bakeries on Staten Island that you can walk into and smell the«old bakery aroma». The décor in here is so cute with all the different cookie jars they have for sale that are all built into the wall in a very neat and organized shelf system. It’s very well maintained and the staff that works here are all so pleasant. The best cookies in my opinion are the apricot walnut squares. They are like a maple syrup sweet, soft little bite of heaven. I have also been to functions were they had ordered a few pounds of their cookies mixed. I believe the cookies go for about $ 12 a pound or so, but it is completely worth every penny.

The best part about the Cookie Jar, aside from the prices, is the fact that you can mix & match individual(small) cookies to try basically everything for a very reasonable $ 11/pound across the board. This may be why it was featured on a $ 9.99 ep and in Judging by the sign in the photo, .they also own cake chef and piece-a-cake elsewhere on SI

This place has the best cookies I have ever tasted, they are very fresh and have so many different choices. The place is adorable and filled with cookies jars. The price is also $ 11 per pound which beats any bakeries around here that sell Italian cookies only. These cookies are always a hit with everyone I share them with.

As soon you walk into the bakery, the smell of the cookies hits you and it smells delicious! I love walking in that place! The bakery is a cute small shop, decorated with vintage items and the walls is covered with cookie jars, you can actually buy the cookie jar and fill it with cookies. The price per pound is $ 11, you cannot beat the price for the delicious fresh made cookies. They have over 100+ kinds of cookies, including macaroons, brownie bites, biscottis, etc. Their rainbow cookies is the one to die for, the raspberry filling is filled with goodness and it is worth every bite of the cookie. Nutella linzer, raspberry chocolate linzer, and cheesecake brownie bites are part of my favorites as well. They also make cupcakes, coffee, bubble teas, etc. Street parking, it is tough to get a parking spot. Small shop, avoid late afternoon or early evening hours or around the holiday times, the line will be out of the door. Plan your time. If you ever in Staten Island, this is the place you would want to visit and will not regret it.

Best cookies on Staten Island. Truly unique handcrafted cookies. Not the typical crap leaf and gingerbread men shaped cookies you find at every other bakery. Best red velvet cupcake and seven layer cookies

Amazing cookie selection! Nutella cookies, cannoli cookies, 7 layers, lemon cookies. Everything is fresh and delish. Wow I wish I lived closer!

Extremely over hyped. While the girls who work there are very efficient and super friendly, pretty much every cookie or desert falls flat. Out of the pound of mixed cookies, maybe 3 or 4 were enjoyable. Just because it’s smothered in powered sugar doesn’t make it a good cookie. Cupcakes were pretty tasty.

This is an adorable cookie shop on Staten Island, with all different kinds of cookie jars on sale and on display. Whenever I get to work in Staten Island, I always try and stop in for a sweet treat! Butter, butter, butter is the shining star of these cookies. They have so many different varieties and even cookie whoopie pies, and biscotti. My personal favorite is the Lemon Drop cookie. The staff is always happy, maybe it’s all the sugar in the air! The prices are by the pound, they also have coffee and lattes. Street parking only. I can’t wait to visit this shop again!

I just love the cookie jar. My favorites are the slutty brownies as well as the cupcakes. The cupcakes are soft and moist. There is always good customer service when I go there. Give the slutty brownies a try, you won’t regret.

Well, I tried to place an order for a birthday cupcake delivery but I was told to order through the website since the lady on the phone was with customers. Well, the website(as of today) is under construction and will not accept orders. It clearly says to place my order over the phone. How annoying, I guess they don’t want my money so I’ll be spending it at another bakery. I was feeling generous, so two stars for poor customer service

They don’t have much of a selection like the ones I go to in Brooklyn but it’s still a great bakery! The cookies are always fresh and delicious. I usually get a pound and its 11 $ I believe. The elephant ears, rainbow cookies, butter cookies are always a must with every purchase! Hard to find parking since its on such a busy street!

Be prepared to be overwhelmed! As soon as you walk in the intoxicating aroma greets you, then you look at the display cases housing an incredible variation of some of the most delicious cookies you will ever have the pleasure of eating. The staff is very helpful and super friendly. $ 11 for a pound of cookies(you choose the variance)– truly a bargain at any price. This is an absolute MUST for all cookie lovers young and old!

With the holidays upon us, the Cookie Jar is my go to spot for any kind of desert. The have every kind of cookie imaginable, and a neat collection of cookie jars that would make a cool gift if you are going to someone’s house for dinner. My personal favorites are the PB&J cookie, any of the brownie bites, and the raspberry cookie covered in chocolate. The store just smells like diabetes, and it’s very difficult to make it home without sneaking a cookie or two from the box. The staff is always helpful, and they have a pretty efficient system for ordering.

First time visitor. Very nice display of goodies. How can one not get there sweet tooth satisfied. I went with the crumb cake and cheese danish. Both super fresh and delightful. Brought 2 cheese danishes. I like it better when I heated it up for 30 seconds. Very good. I can see myself returning.

It’s $ 11 a pound for the desserts. They’re all mini size and I actually like the idea of it because that way you don’t get sick of the desserts. Salted Caramel Bite: I didn’t really like it. I didn’t really tasted the salted caramel, just tasted brownie and chocolate. Slutty Brownie Bite: It lived up to my expectation. You could taste the brownie, oreo, and cookie. Red Velvet Whoopie: I like the whoppie pie, the cream cheese(if that’s what they use for frosting) wasn’t overwhelming at all. White Chocolate Rainbow: I like and don’t like it at the same time. I’m not really a fan of the filling in between the cakes but it didn’t taste bad. Chocolate Chip Sandwich: I like this cookie sandwich, full of chocolate chips and wasn’t too chocolately. Raspberry Coconut Square: It doesn’t really have the raspberry flavor but definitely the coconut. Watermelon Lemonade: I wasn’t sure of what to expect from this drink, just that it will probably be really sour. But I was wrong, it tasted like watermelon juice with a hint of lemonade. I definitely like this drink. I definitely plan on coming back and trying the other different desserts they have to offer, they all look so good!

OMG. HOLYBATMAN, COOKIEJAR! Where thouest been my whole life!!! Okay, so months ago(or like a month and a half ago) I came up with an idea for a «let’s play hookie from work, burn a vacation day in December that we’re probably going to lose anyway and do a borough crawl» while trekking to Long Island with Ingrid S. for an amazing German themed Unilocal Elite event(shout out to Jando!). This was our first stop(out of two) for Staten Island… and perhaps the last because I’m considering dropping SI off of this year’s borough crawl — it’s not you Staten Island, it’s the fact that trekking through your streets and waiting for your buses is crazy time inducing. Cheer up tho, you guys have COOKIEJAR!!! Ingrid S. ordered a double chocolate chip cookie — sweet, chocolatey, goodness! Zaneta got a cherry chocolate chip cookie, it was also delicious and I was glad that my bite didn’t contain an actual cherry. I don’t mind actual cherries on their own actually — but I get weird about fruits in baked goods or mixed with chocolate. Meh. I got a «slurry brownie bite». This might be the most amazing .90¢ cent item I’ve ever purchased. Up until this point it had never even HEARD of a «slutty brownie». It was so chewy, decadent, rich and complex that I decided to, at the work next day, GOOGLE«slutty brownie» so that I could find the recipe… It was then that I realized WHY this was the most amazing brownie I’ve ever feasted on. It’s pretty much made up of my favorite non-savory food groups. A layer of cookie dough, oreos and brownie batter makes for the most decadent slutty freakin’ brownie!!! Unfortunately I have no pics of our delightful treats because my iPhone battery couldn’t handle all the awesomeness, lol. …This year for Halloween if I could convince my boyfriend to be a cookie jar, I would totally be as slutty brownie, lol. But seriously, go here and put a slutty brownie bite in your mouth :).

Stop Number 1 of our Borough Crawl for Staten Island! And Zaneta’s pick! It took a long long while to get here from Bayridge and this may have been my first time ever on the Island that is Staten. I know. Crazy, right? But for the amount of time I was on a bus, Staten Island may not be making it into the 2014 Borough crawl unless we somehow magically acquire a vehicle of swift transportation. After our 2nd bus never made an appearance, we walked 15 blocks to the Cookie Jar while singing Bohemian Rhapsody on the side of the road. We beat the bus and warmed up inside to the most homey, adorable looking cookie shop on the face of the earth. See inserted pictures. Little ceramic knick-knacks and beautiful hand-crafted cookie jars everywhere. A huge display of different colored cookies, brownies, tarts, linzer cookies, cupcakes, macaroons, meringues. Everything. It was so exciting and I had no idea what to get! Zaneta got cherry chocolate chip. So soft and chewy. I opted for double chocolate chip and Steph got a slutty brownie square of sorts. Everything was good and everything was 90 cents or less. My word. If in the neighborhood, check out this Mom and Pop cookie shop.

How did I live without Cookie Jar? Charming décor, nice tables & chairs to enjoy your coffee(macchiato was very good!), and cookies are delicious! Cannoli Cookies — must have! And of course they had my favorites, pignoli cookies & pistachio macaroons. Perfect place for weekend coffee & cookie snack attack — bring some home, too!
