Came here for a family birthday dinner and couldn’t be more satisfied. Impeccable service and delicious food.
Our server was beyond attentive — constantly switching out our plates for clean ones, topping off our beverages and bringing out new incredible dishes.
We left full and happy!

Last minute booking for table of 7, food was outstanding, waiter was attentive, décor simple and in good taste. I registered a Unilocal account because it would be a shame for all those people booking a small table for dinner with friends to not have this as an option. Go for the delicious food and I think they’re by byob because they were totally fine with our wine bottles.

Have to say if you been to Troy have to try out this place food is 100 times better… Service was awesome definitely would of came back BUT just don’t understand the 10 percent added to a bill for four people …

All I can say is, this was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I went to a special event held at this restaurant. The tables were beautifully set. Wonderful appetizers awaited us. The service was impeccable. Clearly all of The fish was very fresh and cooked to perfection. My husband enjoyed the duck and the meat options as well. My favorite, the Russian styled potatoes with mushrooms. YUMMMM. The perfectly seasoned and seared tuna was also delicious. DO NOT EVEN GET ME STARTED ON THE DELECTABLE APPLE PIE À LA MODE DESSERT! SCRUMPTIOUS. If it was socially acceptable, I would have licked the whole bowl clean!!! Although it is not a big restaurant, I enjoyed that even more because it made for an intimate setting — but did not feel crowded. There was even room for our group to dance. I also had the pleasure of meeting the owner who clearly takes pride in his establishment. We definitely look forward to returning to this restaurant.

I had an Amazon Local deal for this restaurant that I’d been holding onto, and I finally decided to come here after work this week.
I’m going to guess that it was the owner who served us, and he was nice and I had no problems with using my deal. I ordered the salmon steak, my boyfriend the duck breast. Both were delicious! The salmon was cooked perfectly, and came with a side of mashed potatoes. The duck breast was done medium rare and was really tender, served under a plum sauce. Loved the side of sweet potato slices too. Portions were perfect; we left with full and happy stomachs.
I think the only thing I’m taking a star off for is the ambience. Although the interior is furnished quite nicely, donned with orange accents (i.e. chairs and napkins), it was a bit empty, as there was only one other party of two besides us. But it was a Tuesday night, so maybe that could be accounted for? Regardless, a great experience. Just would like to see more traffic, and the attention it deserves!

Using groupon… My experience from start to finish, negative to positive.
Nega: we were having bread and my friend still had half she was workin on and the waiter/​owner took her plate away. When she said wait she wasn’t done, he said «hold your bread» and I said but where will she put her bread? He walked away but came back with a saucer.
–appetizer (choice of 1: soup Cajun chicken salad or Greek salad. Waiter comes and says «you have a choice of Caesar salad or Greek salad. «So do you have soup?» I said. Then he replies «it’s a Russian soup, I know you won’t like it» (I’m Pacific Islander) smh. They did not have Cajun chicken salad available.
–entreé I’ll have to say not so bad but not wow
–dessert was purty good, cheesecake and tiramisu
We asked for a pitcher of water and got ONE glass for 6 of us.
1 star for entrée and 1 for dessert. Bad service.

We went to Verrazano Grill for our friend birthday party and it was awfull. We have been to many Russian restaurants in NY and it was the worth we have ever seen. There is nothing good to say about this place. This is the 3^rd Russian restaurant in this location in the last 2years and it won’t be the last if they won’t change the way the conduct business. Food was bad, had no taste, very plain but with sophisticated names and no taste. Service was bad, we had to find someone to replace empty bottle of water and it was going on throughout the whole evening. But the worth was the music. The singer couldn’t sing and music was extremely loud, so nobody could hear how bad she was singing. You couldn’t stay inside the restaurant, because music was extremely loud and horrible quality. Friend of ours wanted to sing a song and he had to pay the singer, so she would give me a microphone and allowed him to sing. She should pay him, because he could sing and the“professional” singer could not. I would never go there again and will discourage everyone to visit this place, because it is the embarrassment for the rest of Russian restaurants where you can enjoy yourself and have great experience with Russian food and music.

great atmosphere and variety of delicious and very nicely seasoned food — definitely one of those experiences when the next day you regret not having eaten more

This place really surprised me. I hate mushrooms and I devoured the mushroom blintzes. The duck was absolutely delicious and so was the seafood pasta. I was here for a party, and everything brought out was amazing – from the duck salad through the main course. The service was very attentive and I could tell were working very hard. The nice thing about this place is that it is a restoration of a business that was completely damaged by hurricane Sandy. Thus, it is clean, new, and beautifully decorated, and it is a great addition to the community. I am so excited and I am definitely coming back for food and parties!

It started off good the Appetizers were good so was the Fried Calamari soft not chewy. We ordered the main Course that when it went downhill Over an hour still no Food then the place filled up with smoke from the kitchen. Their vent was not working the place was so smoked up all our eyes were tearing up. So it was like 1hr 30min no Main Course too smokey to stay inside. We left paying $ 175.00 for Appetizers talk about a ruined BDay.
No apology from the owner he walked out got in car and drove away. No comp nothing.
