This is the best barbecue in Statesboro! At first I was like «It’s in the Small…» but I tried it anyway. Their Brunswick Stew is phenomenal and definitely legit. Their barbecue sauce is now my second favorite barbeque sauces, I bought three sauces to take home!

Contrary to what the other reviewer said, Vandy’s does NOT use a mustard based sauce. That’s south Carolina barbecue (and you best know the difference before you write about it online and make yourself look foolish!). Vandy’s is a Statesboro legacy, and a delicious community staple. Yes, they give you a PILE of meat on a plate if you order the plate, as well as a side of bread. You make your own sandwich, and take the rest of the pork home so you can make another. It’s a great deal! And frankly, I LOVE the sauce here. My parents actually bought me a bottle of it after I moved away from Statesboro for school, and it’s already gone! Now, I buy two bottles every time I’m in town.
Try it for yourself, before you make a judgment call. It’s seriously good. Best Brunswick stew around.

Disgusting. We just moved here and tried Vandy’s. The food resembles food in a bad nursing home. The BBQ meat might have been ok if it didn’t have this bad mustard-vinegar sauce. Yuck. Try somewhere else.
