Beverley Cigar Store

My company’s headquarters are nearby, so I visit the area sometimes, and Beverley Cigar Store is by far the best shop I’ve found. The mid-​town main street atmosphere is refined without being stuffy, and the selection includes all the major brands as well as some house brands. The proprietor is friendly and knowledgeable, and seems to be innovative, but still staying true to being to his clientele. I don’t go anywhere else, even though I have to drive a few miles to get there. It is worth the trip!

Really enjoyed visiting here! Pretty good selection of cigars with a comfortable, and more importantly, friendly place to smoke. If you’re on holiday this is a fantastic stop while the wife cruises the consignment shops.

Love, love, love this cigar shop! I was so surprised to find a nice cigar store like this in little ol’ Staunton. The selection is great and by great I mean great. They have their house cigars along with Drew Estate, My Father, Rockey Patel, Romeo Y Juliet, La Aroma De Cuba, Padron, Oliva, Ghurka, just to name a few! The owner, Aaron, is a super nice guy who likes to dress sharp and loves cigars. James, one of the workers is also very nice and they are both easy to talk to and will recommend cigars if you want as well as cut and light them if you are going to stay and relax a while.
The patrons are all very friendly too. You can sit down and have a smoke without feeling judged or like an outsider. There’s a nice little lounge and tv where you can relax, talk, read, surf the net, whatever. They also have a live piano player on Saturdays, I went one night and it was fabulous. I really love the atmosphere too, very unique and cool to have the old school, 1920s kind of feel going on.
I have been in Staunton working for the past few months and I visit here once to twice a week. Everyone knows me, says hi, and asks how I am. They are quick to invite you into your family if you come in regularly enough. I will be sad when I leave on Wednesday to go back to Atlanta but I will most certainly be visiting Beverly Cigar Store every time I am back to visit my Grandma or work in Staunton!

Southern Charm
Being from San Francisco where tobacco prices on cigars are sky high and you can smoke um… no where, this place blew my socks off!
They sell a fine selection of cigars, men’s accessories: coats, hats, shoes, shaving stuff, etc along with a shoe shine, and have an indoor cigar smoking lounge.
The owner was super friendly and was able to suggest an excellent medium bodied cigar. They also had live piano music with a man playing the piano Saturday evening from 4−8pm.
They are closed Sunday’s and Mondays. Had they been open Monday I would have extended my trip just to stay an afternoon here. It is a true gem. I’m already thinking of my next trip. This place made my week. I’m going to talk about it with friends for the next year. I just can’t believe a place like this could still exist. It’s a true gem.

I don’t smoke cigars, but wanted to stop in to look at pipes and pipe tobacco. This is one of the largest cigar stores I’ve ever been into, and at first glance appeared to be a locals type of place. There were four guys sitting around smoking stogies the size of baseball bats and I thought the clerk might be bothered with us stopping in to browse, as that has often been my experience in cigar stores. But not here. The clerk got up from his cigar and asked after us and was as friendly as can be. He wasn’t weird or annoyed (at least he didn’t appear to be) at me smelling all the pipe tobacco. And when I asked to get a tamper for my pipe he couldn’t find one and just took the display. That impressed me most because he didn’t even mention it as though he were doing me a favor or going out of his way. He simply looked for one and when he couldn’t find one, he just grabbed the display. That’s good business. As we were checking out, my girl asked him about Staunton. The guy stood there for at least 10 minutes just chatting with us and telling us history and what’s going on and good places to go. He didn’t have to do that. It was a great way to get introduced to Staunton. It didn’t have the largest selection of either pipes or cigars, but was a great place to spend a little time.

Great cigars, pipe tobacco and accessories. Even better is the amazing atmosphere. Grab a cigar, take a seat and chat with wonderful people.
