Came here for a work meeting Thursday and I wasn’t really impressed with place. As people in reviews have mentioned they do not grind the coffee there or make any of the food there. It is all premade. Also none of the prices are listed on their menu which is strange. The staff were nice and the chai latte I had was ok. They just heated up a premixed thai concentrate with milk but it was still good. The basement vibe is kind of cool but it is small so I felt like my meeting was disturbing other patrons. Just ok nothing special about here compared to all of the other little shops in the area.

Came here before the Fall Foliage Bike Festival, very cute location. Great pumpkin chai and everything bagel.

Walking into this location I was looking forward to what seems to be a local favorite — very old Virginia feel to the building. However, the actual store is located in a basement and smells like a mixture of old mold and fake coffee syrups. Décor a little bare. Bagels and baked goods were all from somewhere else(Harrisonburg) and wrapped in plastic(looked old). Biggest turn off was when we asked about a breakfast sandwich — arrived around 830 am — we found out the eggs are pre-made somewhere else as well(no kitchen/stove for making food apparently.) Wasn’t super impressed with coffee options either. Go to the Nu-Beginnings café instead for food — much better and super fresh.

We stopped by on a Monday afternoon and got a couple iced coffees. Since it was later in the afternoon, they didn’t have much food available, just a lot of muffins. We definitely would have gotten something if they’d had more available. Probably since it was late in the afternoon they were winding down. Coffee was good! I had a latte that was reasonably foamy and yummy. My husband got an espresso that was good. The worker was really nice.

Not much to look at on the inside, but my husband and I both got lattes and they were good. They serve Counter Culture coffee which is our favorite, but I’ve had it made better at other coffee places. We didn’t get any food so I can’t speak towards that. I’m giving 3 stars for the coffee only, atmosphere I’d give 2.
