I’ve eaten here only twice, but today’s meal provoked me to leave a comment today.
I was not happy.
The Texas salad was salty. When I informed of it, they only stated that it was because of the seasoning.
No suggestion or recommendation for a change, modification, or accommodation given I was clearly not happy with the meal.
I did ask for a to go box, but was so removed from the situation and the meal that I left the box unused and the salad there.
I paid my bill. I left. I wish them well. The water was good though.
I wrote this review before my bill was paid.

There were three of us today… two of which ordered the Seafood Burrito. I was disappointed because my Burrito’s contents were lacking some of the ingredients according to the menu. There were no scallops or red peppers. My daughter’s Burrito was ordered without red peppers and it was stuffed with the right ingredients… including green peppers. Imagine that.
Service was good… so I tolerated the underwhelming Burrito and took to Help to vent my dissatisfaction. Since my daughter oz in school here and she seems to like it here every time she comes… I guess we’ll be back.

This place was very good for middle-​of-​nowhere Virginia Mexican food. I was stuffed, and I couldn’t stop eating my green enchiladas with chicken until they were all gone. The chips and salsa were delicious, too and they kept them coming. The only problem was at the end of the night, when we were trying to pay, there was no one to be found. We thought they must have been giving all the food away for free, but eventually a gentleman we had not seen all night popped out of nowhere and got us a box, and took our bill. We will definitely be back. Yum.

Food used to be much better last time I went the staff was very rude and waiter demanded a 15 $ tip for a 40 $ order lol when I gave him 5 $ and explained that a tip should be earned (sorry I almost gave nothing he forgot my drink had to remind him 3 times and after a hour waiting my wife never got her order our food got cold waiting) he then gave me money back and yelled at a co worker in Spanish. It’s shame because a couple years ago this place was the best.

always consistently great food and service. always busy, which shows how good their food is. try their salsa Verde with your chips, hot and spicy! great prices and fast service for freshly made meals. delicious!

Ok, so this place has the ONLY worthy Authentic Mexican buffet available from Harrisonburg to Charlottesville. The thing that’s where it stops just the buffet after that the place DEAD. The best times to go are 11:30AM-1PM everything is fresh! They greet you sit you down take your drink order and provide you with chips and salsa with your buffet order. The best thing is the QUESO DIP at the buffet, aaawwww. so awesome! So there you go. I recommend it!

Looked like all the other Mexican food that gets reheated at the same time on the same plate, but tastes much much better.
I have to say i feel a little jaded b/​c i went alone and ordered a combo for ~$ 8. Then i heard couples on either side of me ordering the night’s special: buy-​1-​combo-​get-​1-​free. I kinda feel like i should have gotten my combo at half-​off… but not really.
Staff was very nice and attentive. I’ll be back (for 2 combos)!
PS. It’s a nice big space that I’d love to see cleared of tables for some salsa dancing some night!!!

Taco’s El Pastor… When I die, I’ll know I’m in heaven when the great feast has Taco’s El Pastor on the table. The menu is outstanding.
We’ve been regulars here for a few years and can safely say I never had a bad meal there — I try and get there once a month at a minimum. Great service, the wait staff is clearly glad to see you, and they make some really decent Margarita’s.

This is the place that started it all, El Puerto has grown to be a very successful chain in our small area, but this one was the first to come here, it’s the biggest, the most decorative, and it’s the only one to offer a lunch Buffet, which gives some amazing food for a very low price (all you can eat Fajitas? yes please).
The staff is friendly and always on top of things, your drink will never be allowed to go empty, and you will never be left waiting for attention. I have tried every Mexican Restaurant I’ve come across, but I always just end up comparing them to this one, and everyone else just comes up short, in fact my sister moved to Texas, and still tells us she can’t wait to come back to Virginia for the Texas Fajitas.
