I don’t miss NJ pizza any more. This place is awesome! Great combinations. Excellent beer selection. Good music.

The pizza is pretty good and the wings are as well despite them being baked. The problem is the service and the price. I don’t mind paying more for quality food but the service should be at least decent. Unfortunately after giving Shenandoah Pizza three tries they have proven their their disappointing service is not an anomaly. On a slow and rainy Sunday evening my wife and I decided to give them one more try. We walked in to pleasant live music and a mostly empty restaurant and we were happy as we thought we would finally get some decent service. Five minutes pass as we stand at the front door with a sign saying«Please Wait to Be Seated» and not so much as an acknowledgement of our existence. Two servers passed us several times keeping their heads down so as to avoid eye contact. We finally were seated at a table upstairs and the waitress took our drink orders. After waiting nearly ten minutes she finally returned with our drinks. I was friendly and try to empathize and asked if she was in the weeds(restaurant industry lingo meaning you’re running behind and can’t get caught up)…she just laughed and said«No, not really, just another night.» I hope she just didn’t want to complain because if this truly was just another evening then it’s no wonder our experiences have been so consistently bad. The rest of the meal continued with a similar pace of service and I won’t bore you with all the gory details. Other things worth noting: * Prices — These are pretty steep for a pizza joint, a large pizza will set you back 20 bucks and 8 wings another $ 8 * Food Quality — The pizza sauce is pretty good, the crust is average, the wings are decent but baked so they take 30 minutes to prepare * Ambiance — Seating is on two floors(and their kitchen is upstairs in the back), there’s not much in the way of decoration but the live music was a nice touch(though a tad too loud) Overall the poor service and high prices can’t make up for the better than average pizza. If they can bring in a leader who can produce results it would make a huge difference. Right now it’s just not there.

Sad, sad, sad. Date night with my wife and we were very excited to have dinner. We were promptly seated but then… Sat, sat, sat and sat some more and nobody came to adore. 10 minutes and not even a hello? We were very hungry and even starred down the waitresses and nobody cared. Had to walk out and find fare next door. Sorry guys… Try harder next time, the restaurant was less than half full. We will give you another shot and will gladly update our review at that time.

This place has the potential to be great but something is often throwing off the experience– out of a particular topping, slow service, and a weird selection of beers on tap. It’s a great place to grab a slice for lunch but I never feel like I got money’s worth for dinner out experience.

Quality versus quantity ! If you are looking for gut pizza, this not it. The food is good, but not great for the price ! The service is friendly but a rad nervous because of the high price ! The reality is that rent here Ivan be expensive. The customers are mainly tourist and the college ! Probably not a local place ! We had the Gouda, ham and bacon. A medium with two salad were almost enough ! I did enjoy but I get the feeling that the owner is sticking it to me ! I do appreciate the small business owner mentality !

Pizza was better than I even remembered. Augusta Margarita is on time! Excellent wheat crust and They now have gluten free crust also.

My husband is from Staunton and we stopped in this place on Thursday when we were visiting. It was so good, we picked up a pie the next night. :/ We got the Statler — a medium one night and the large the next. The mediums crust was diffident somehow. And it’s better than the large which is thinner. But the pizza is a slam dunk. Rivaling for even better is the wings. They bake them twice vs fry and these things are outstanding!!! We could have gorged on them. Get them… and you can thank us later. ;)

Service was good. Calzone was okay. Kids size pizza was spot on for price($ 6) and size. Think personal pan. Got the Island Girl(ham, bacon and pineapple) with traditional red sauce and it was delicious! Meatball sub was good but a little on the small side for the price. Décor was delightful with original artwork by what I assume is a local artist.

Pizza might be good, but definitely not worth the prices. I can get better pizza somewhere else for a fraction of their price. A 12-inch pizza is $ 18 no matter what kind you get and a 12-inch is pretty small, even though they call it a medium. Also, I’m sorry if I don’t know how to pronounce something but you don’t have to be so condescending about it, Miss Waitress.

While in the restaurant I was informed that it is under new ownership which explained why my experience here is much different than before. The reason I asked about new ownership was because of the limited menu options. Once I knew of the change I noticed the much smaller serving sizes of my once favorite dishes and the more bland tastes from the lack of spices put on. It’s sad to see a restaurants that had such a strong following fall short in the hands of new ownership. It seems that they are currently more interested in the profit they can make and less interested in the quality of the food. I am disappointed to say that I won’t be back here and that downtown Staunton has lost one of the many charms it once held.

The food is great. Service is poor. Ordered meatball sandwich. After ~15 mins approached the server to cancel the order. She exclaimed she couldn’t and the sand which miraculously was ready. She asked if she could package to go. I accepted. She brought sandwich and to go container. When paying the bill, she picked up some items from the table and knocked the to go container onto the floor. She picked it up and placed it right back on the table without so much as an apology. No thank you. Customer does not appear to be important. Food is good if you can overlook your position on the totem pole.

We ordered an appetizer(cheese sticks) and a pepperoni pizza. They were both really great. We thought about ordering beer but the selection on tap was all heavy stuff and my wife wanted something befitting summer and hot weather. The waiter was a bit too cool to make any suggestions and seemed either inexperienced or not interested in pushing a sale. That is a good thing when a customer knows what they want, but when a customer is open to suggestion and up selling, then a waiter should be ready or be able to rely on a coworker who is ready. We enjoyed it overall and would recommend it. One of my twins loves pizza so we got a to-go box and cut out the clean top and put it on her wall to remember the weekend trip(swim meet in nearby Waynesboro, VA).

Great service, FRESH pizza, & all about doing it LOCAL. I ate here despite the 3.5 star rating and left a review with the sole purpose of getting them a more accurate rating. Great work, Shenandoah

Stromboli was amazing but the customer service was not. One of two or three customers during a non busy time and it took forever to get a salad and a single slice of pizza that was just okay. Disappointed given the great things we heard about the place…

So I have this crazy relationship with Shen Pizza… Every time I’m back home, I go here a few times, consistently ordering the pepperoni pizza rolls. It’s super tasty and ultra affordable. In that respect, it’s perfect if I know I’m otherwise going to be doing ridiculous things and should just stick to the classics. You get a lot for your money, enough that I can rarely finish it. And here’s the BUT… The service is consistently slow and inattentive. The people that I have personally known that ended up working here… well, they’re not people I would trust with much of anything, certainly not my food. I definitely question the basis for service quality here. I’ve came in on a Sunday at 6:30pm to sighs and an acquaintance telling me, «Well, I was hoping to leave in the next 15 minutes, but now I have to stay late.» Um, excuse me, you close at 8pm. There’s plenty of time for me to eat before you should even be allowed to leave in the first place. Regardless, the food and its affordability, earning a 5+, make up for the 1 for service.

I’d say this is pretty normal pizza. The cheese is low moisture, kind of rubbery as I prefer. Sauce is very fresh tasting, not overly sweet or overly salty. And the crust, while maybe a little bit doughy(could have been baked a little bit longer, I guess), was decently chewy. Slices are very inexpensive — a good spot to stop in for a quick lunch. They also had some nice local brews on tap, which I did not sample, but would draw me back for dinner if I was a beer guy.

Still the best place to get pizza in Staunton. They also had(and still do) the best beer selection in town. And now they have fixed their greatest deficiency, that until a few months ago they were all bottles or cans of beer. Now they have craft beer on top, completing their domination of downtown Staunton.

Good tap beer(NEW!)! Great pizza! Excellent service! We came here on a Saturday night and were lucky enough to snag a quiet table in the back without waiting. They recently got beers on tap, which was a bonus because everything is better straight from the tap. I had a Legend Brewing Co. IPA and the hubs had something I didn’t like — probably a stout or porter. I’d have to check UnTapped. Anyways they had a good selection of 4 or 5 tap beers… not the run of the mill bud light/coors light but real beers for real people. We started with the Mediterranean salad which was big enough for two. The Raspberry Vinaigrette tasted very raspberry and homemade. Next we made a tough decision on the pizza(so many choices and sauces to choose from!) and got the dairy-rite which is named after the local restaurant. It is like a bacon cheeseburger on a pizza. I was impressed that they had so many sauces for the pizza — white, pesto, red, and alfredo. I really like the crust — it was perfectly chewy. It was a great meal and I would go back again. Bonus — you can get slices to go! ps — not a kid friendly bathroom but not everywhere is…
