Solid three stars. While the old time style with its drive up service and telephone table ordering are fun and silly enough to deserve four stars, I was sad to discover there is no breakfast, and the food was decent, and satisfying, but not anything above average. Don’t get me wrong — I liked this place, and I would go back, but three stars is the best I can muster. My mom told me how this was the major hangout to see and be seen back in the 50’s, and I think it’s great that it’s still here, and from the look of most of the customers, they have been hanging out here since the 50’s. If you’re from Staunton you already know about this place, but if you’re passing through you should have lunch here for sure.

This place is a great stop. The chicken basket is my favorite, and I love their potato tots. It all comes out hot and tastes great. I even liked the onion rings, and I’m usually not an onion ring fan. It’s better quality than what you’d expect a drive-in place to have! It’s retro and tasty, and they give a LOT of food, so be ready to eat! I’ve never eaten inside though, but it’s the same food either way, so I assume it’s just as much of a delight.

Gross, overpriced, and I hope you LOVE salt if you eat here. We’ve tried it a few times and I’m guessing its seen better days since my parents claim they used to love it. Shake was nothing special either. We won’t be back.
