I have been here many times for all of my vehicles and the service has always been fast and friendly with oil and other fluid changes. This time I brought my Expedition in to have the oil changed and noticed some new faces. As normal, the employee went down the list of fluids/filters which can be serviced and asked me if I wanted them performed. Since this vehicle is new(to me anyway) I said«Yes» to several and kind of lost track of what services were performed. In the end, the employee charged me $ 250 some odd dollars too much on my card. He initially asked me after he charged my card the first time, «Do you want a receipt?» to which I said yes(of course I want a receipt). It took me a minute to figure it out as I added up my charges, and I pointed it out to him. The employees did one refund, and found that was also incorrect, and had to give me another refund on my card. The employee who overcharged me did not know how to fix the charge and had help from the others. They eventually figured it out and gave me the refund. This caused me to be there a little longer than I wanted. They were friendly enough(no apology, no additional discount however), but not the service I have had there in the past. It also looked like the employee struggled with flushing my radiator fluid as there were a couple of times there was some spray… not too big of a deal. I will give them another try for an oil change, but I will be checking my receipt and services carefully. Update: The manager called me shortly after I made this review. He was very polite and apologized for the inconvenience, and offered me a free oil change and other service of my choosing when I next came in. This is exactly what a good manager/business should do and I appreciated that.

Being able to admit when you’re wrong and correcting a mistake is an integral part of giving great customer service. That is precisely what Oil Can Henry’s of Stayton has done. On my last visit to OCH, I discovered that I was overcharged for a Power Steering Fluid service. When I challenged the rep about this, I was told that the the new computer system automatically added in the cost of extra fluid and that there was nothing he could do. I begrudgingly paid the bill but later felt the need to vent on Unilocal about the dangers of hidden fees. The shop owner, Gregg, was quick to respond to my review(which initially was a 1 star rating). His response was one of concern and sympathy, and he assured me that he would correct the situation with his employees and compensate me for the overcharge, which he did. I was very impressed how he handled the situation, hence my upgraded review. Kudos to Oil Can Henry’s for doing the right thing.

What a great experience! Matt the assistant manager helped me out a ton today and the entire team with a broken air filter housing unit that Jiffy Lube failed to tell me they had broken on my last visit. He even called the location to help! What a great team– recommend this place to everyone! Thank you so much!

The good: Service was friendly. Got in quickly. The bad: everything was going good until I ok’d to have a fuel additive added to my tank. I noticed they were using two screwdrivers to get into the tank(new ford trucks have a valve instead of a gas cap) I commented on what they were doing and they said they didn’t have the right tool but don’t worry we do this all the time. Well, now I’m getting a warning message in my truck for filler intake valve problems. I contacted the manager of the facility. He was very helpful and was upset that his workers would do that. He had the filler valve replaced at no charge to me. He was very professional and had my truck fixed as soon as was possible. I upped the star rating from a 1 star to 3 because of the professional handling of the repair.
