Growing up in the area, The Donut Shop was a frequent visit for us. Even still, every time I’m back in town visiting my parents, I have to make a stop. BEST donuts in Oregon, hands down, even over Voodoo!
The service here is always great, but I wish they were open Sundays and a little later. I think they stay open until selling out though, which is understandable.
The donuts are fresh daily; perfectly sweet, airy and delicious. HUGE sizes for a great price, too.

As an out-​of-​state traveller, everyone says that Voodoo and Blue Star are the première Oregon doughnut locales, but this place blows them both away. We stopped in early and bought two fresh doughnuts and it was far and away the best doughnut I’ve ever had. The dough is soft, but with just the right amount of chew, and the glaze isn’t overly sweet, which really allows the dough to be the real (rightful) star.

Friendly service, the young girl working this morning was a delight even though the poor thing looked tired. Biscuits and gravy are my boyfriend favorite, and the maple bars so far are my favorite. All the donuts ive had from them are delicious though and I’m not a donut fan! A couple weeks ago I got a dozen donuts from them and they were so good I didn’t even have to heat them up the next day. If they had longer hours I’d be there more often (gaining weight, so maybe it’s a good thing they close early.) Hah

The best donuts ever made anywhere. I drive from Salem and its always worth it. Not to mention if I call ahead the owner happily saves me what ever I’m craving that day. Thanks for all the smiles and nummy breakfasts.
