This Food Lion happens to be nearly directly across the street from my husband’s favorite Martin’s. I don’t go into FL often, for that reason. They do have excellent coupons, though — and this store has a friendly staff, and good prices. It’s just not as attractive as Martin’s. Pro to that? It’s also not as crowded.

Stephens City, VA
Always clean, always friendly, convenient, priced well and always stocked. What more can I ask from a grocery store. Food lions usually don’t have the best stores, but this food lion is the best grocery store I have ever been in. I know, it’s just a grocery store. But when you drop 500 bucks a month on food for your family at a grocery store, being great makes all the difference! Keep up the good work!

Berryville, VA
There are some good things about this Food Lion. Employees are friendly and helpful. The prices are better than most competitors. The in-​house baked goods are above average. And, the store is small enough that one can shop and find things in a short period of time.
This is somewhat offset by very poor beef quality and selection. There are very limited amount of choices for most items. And, if Food Lion drops a supplier of high quality like Northland juices or Dole Popsicles they never return to the shelves.
The focus at Food Lion is strictly on price.
