Gore’s Custom Slaughter & Processing

We picked up our butchered cow from Hollin Farms here on a chilly November Saturday morning. The location is easy to find and the staff is very helpful. The interior was impressively sanitized and clean.
It took them a few minutes to find our order paperwork, but once they did, we quickly backed out truck up to one of their freezers. Two guys happily chatted us up while they quickly loaded 400lbs of beef into boxes they provided, then organized those boxes in the truck bed. The whole experience took less than 20mn.
The Mister tried to tip the two guys as we left, but they turned us down and told us they were just doing their job.
When we got home, we found all the meat was well sealed and labeled. We particularly appreciated that the meat was packed in small servings, which should cut down on waste.
We were very impressed, and will be back after we eat our way through the first 400lbs of meat.
