Advanced Roofing

Grossly overcharged and did not do work as promised. I had a roof leak and had obtained one estimate to do the repairs for $ 600. I called Advanced Roofing for a second opinion. Michael told me that he would do «general roof maintenance» and leak repair and gutter cleaning and repair for $ 800. It seemed like a reasonable price for all of that work, and he could do the work right away, so I agreed. I became suspicious when he made up two separate contracts, one for the roof, and one for the gutter work, and the gutter work was «free.» He and another worker showed up and worked for 25 minutes, then left. He promised to have the gutter work done later by his «gutter guy.» The gutter guy never showed up, the deadline for completing the work is past, and Michael won’t return my phone calls. Next stop: small claims court.
To be fair, the roof has not leaked in the two months since the work was done; but he did not do anything like the kind of repairs described by the first contractor who gave me an estimate. I think Advanced just caulked some flashing and nail holes and ran off with my money.
