Worst fucking place I have ever eaten. Food was burnt, my stomach hurts, I have to shit. I knew it was going to be bad when I heard the cages banging around in the back of the kitchen. I could hear the dogs barking in the back., Easily could get food poisoning, or contamination. The 12 year old kids cooking the food have 6 gallons of sweat dripping onto my food every second. Waitress told us the directions wrong

Great service! The waiter, Alex F., was extremely pleasant and helpful. He came back and checked on us multiple times. As for the food, it was great! Any issue of someone not liking their food would probably end up being their own fault since most customers put their owns meals together. However, don’t come here if you’re looking for a quiet romantic date night. That is definitely not the atmosphere here. It’s high energy, music, some loud noise from the grill, but overall lots of fun!

So the mango madness drink was delicious. We sat in the bar area and Bobby Jo and Shane were great. But we did experience Ashlie having a Slurpee that she kept in the ice container. Which means her straw that she drank from could possibly touch the ice cubes that she was then serving people. Big turnoff I think she needs a little more training and what it means to be clean! Would go back but make sure Ashlie does not have her drink in the ice. Oh & the grillers dropped many items of my food so I lost part of my meal as they were cooking it

We have gone to this bd’s for 3 years now for a fundraiser that they are kind enough to host for our cancer walk team. We raise a lot of money each year for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and having businesses willing to help us out means so so much… bd’s is SO giving. We had a fundraiser there last night. In the beginning there was a little confusion because things were slightly different than years before but things quickly worked themselves out. I have to commend the staff… when faced with(see: bombarded by) around 20 people showing up all at one time, they handled things so well. I forgot her name(I’m sorry to her if she is reading this) but the hostess was a sweetheart. After everyone got seated, myself and one of my team mates sat up front and talked with the hostess. I told her I was sorry about the confusion and she apologized as well. She was honestly SO nice and throughout the time we were there she really didn’t have much down time. Her as well as other waitresses were running around as they were busy and they all just kept smiling and joking with each other… that’s so refreshing to see. That hostess rocked… give her a raise. =) The two guys on the grill were great… they were fast, threw in some grill ‘tricks’ here and there, kept things thoroughly organized even when really busy. My only feedback here is that it is really nice when they interact with guests while grilling and one guy was kinda quiet(or completely silent). The other guy was really cool and was assigning people spots and talking to us when he came to get our bowls… nice guy overall. I feel bad that I completely forgot to get people’s names… but our waitress… she was GREAT! She was a blonde lady if that helps. She waited on our bigger party at the fundraiser and she stayed on top of things, she smiled a lot, and she could take jokes from us(aka the most sassy group ever in existence). I also like her… give her a raise. =) The manager on duty… I DID remember to get his name… was Alex. Bless his heart… Alex was so nice in the midst of a few more misunderstandings. I liked him immediately. He came and talked to us throughout the night. He took the time to make sure we were doing well and that’s nice because believe it or not most fundraisers we do they barely even look in our direction when we are there… which is weird because restaurants also do well during fundraiser nights plus it’s a good cause so feel good about what you’re doing, ya know. Alex was a bad ass… he kept things organized and he was very cool, calm and collected. Five stars, Alex, five stars! I guess I should mention the food because being a restaurant and all. I know some people love mongo and some don’t. I have always been an in-betweener. Last night… it was awesome, more so with how I assembled my bowl. Honestly, if you are having a meal you don’t like it is probably because you put some weirdness into your bowl and expected it to taste like a chef whipped it up… you are makin the bowl, man… you can’t blame anyone but yourself. Since mine was AMAZING, I will share it’s contents… I am a vegetarian so I apologize to the meat eaters that you will probably avoid this like the plague and miss out on it’s deliciousness #moreforme. I am one of four people in the world who love tofu… sooooo, I put tofu, mushrooms, white onions, edamame, red peppers, carrots, peanuts, coconut, tons of garlic, and then the Chili Garlic Sauce with MORE coconut. This honestly tasted heavenly. Good job to me for making my bowl so well and shout outs to the cook who made my food for grillin like a villan. I ate it twice… no shame. I drank the grapefruit Travelers beer with my food as recommended by my bestie and it was delightful. I will be back to raise funds next year I am sure and possibly multiple times in between. Thanks for the memories, mongo!

Loud, expensive and probably a place best reserved for parties. The salad bar, although unlimited, had only about a dozen ingredients to choose from, if that. Only 2 soup selections, one which was primarily chicken broth. The other was tomato parmesan. Wait staff was nice when we saw them, but our party of three was seated with only 2 sets of silverware, and it took a while before we were able to find someone to request a third set. Food was delicious once prepared, and they did provide lettuce wraps for the carb conscious diner, as well as a variety of fillers such as rice and tortilla wraps.

Not impressed with the fact that they offer endless salad and soup with your bowl, but their salad bar is full of soggy, turning brown, lettuce and not a lot of toppings with it. In my eyes, if you offer a salad bar, make it fresh. No one wants soggy, old vegetables in their salad. They also only offer 2 types of soups too, which the types did not sound appealing at all. Granted we went at a busy time(after 5pm on a Friday), but selections for the stuff to put in the bowls were being constantly restocked. Also, we were seated in the bar area and the poor bartender was slammed with her bar plus the section, but she did an amazing job! Lastly, in the grilling area where the customers stand and watch their food get cooked, the floor was atrocious. So many bits from the grill and grill grease everywhere. The guys were keeping the actual grill clean, but just the nastiness on the floor, that customers can see, was disgusting. I highly recommend to the staff that they should keep the grilling area floor clean since the customers can see it. Other then that, I like how we can choose what we put in our bowls and that everything is made to order. However, it is pretty pricey for the quality of food.

This is a place where you pick the meat, veggies, sauces, and everything else, so if you don’t like it, it’s your own damn fault. Quit giving them low ratings because you used the wrong spice mix. The chili on the salad bar is really good. I don’t bother getting the salad unless they have the chili available. The only thing keeping me from giving 5 stars, is because it tends to get very noisy in the restaurant, which is part of the character, but I prefer a quieter place.

One word… RIDICULOUS! I’ve never been more stressed out trying to eat a meal. The restaurant was very busy and ill equipped. I was told on numerous occasions to stand up against the wall. I felt like I was in a police lineup. Half of my food ended up on the floor and the sauce spilled in front of me. I had tons of shrimp in my dish. I didn’t put shrimp in my dish. Food was overcooked and my daughters was overseasoned by the cooks. Won’t be back!

Grillers need to be more concerned with cooking my food then taking to guests and bull shitting around. Also grilled that grabs clean plates in places where my food touches also grabs dirty bowls where raw meat touches and never washes hands even after touching his face. Bathroom is dirty with towels strewn around the floor and there is a Bo smell by one of the waiters. The experience in general was not good. Waitress is fairly atentive but ignored us halfway through no refills on rice or drinks. Steak was so chewy I don’t eat it and all my second bowl was burned Rest of the place has gone way way downhill.

I visited a while back. I found the food to be fresh, the grillers to be entertaining and the seating to be good. It seemed to be a little loud inside, and the price was a bit more than I would normally pay for a meal of that quantity.

One of my favorite places. The food is fresh, good selection and a great deal with teens in the house. Don’t hesitate to ask for a peanut free grill — customer service is their speciality. Wish it had some private booths — the food is so good but not very cozy. Good for groups and some locations will give discount on parties of six or more.

Terrible service. Wasn’t greeted properly when first walked in. treated like an inconvenience then was told 35 min wait when tables were completely empty in the bar area. waitress who worked it on 11÷14÷157pm was extremely rude to my boyfriend n I who was told first come first serve by the rude hostess. please evaluate the staff n their attitudes, makes for an unpleasant night out that we don’t get to enjoy often. Very disappointed with customer service at this location

Good food, but bad service. So this is our first time here, and we order the famous bowl, the guy literally just said okay and later give us some famous bowl then walk away without telling us we have to walk up to the food stand to grab our own stuff then ask the chef to cook it. Since we didn’t know we waited almost 20minutes until we feel like there’s something wrong so we ask the chef where’s our food, then the chef told us we have to go grab those on our own. Well fuck that!!! We sit here so long and the waiter didn’t even feel like he should at least tell us what’s going on!

I’ll start with the good because that’s a short list for sure! Good wait staff, good cocktails… Umm yeah. That’s it. First, the fried rice and pad Thai. Both the rice and the pad Thai were abysmal!!! They were first of all nowhere near what they should taste like, so much garlic in that rice that one could maybe knock out a dragon with that breath. The chicken in the pad thai… Beyond dry!!! Seriously. Seemed like someone cooked it for at least a couple of hours after it was perfectly done… I doused it in at least 3 different sauces just to be able to chew it! And as far as the bowl choices go. Disappointing. And the sauces… No chilli oil? No garlic oil on there? What’s with that? I love Mongolian BBQ and the basic sauces I’d find were missing here! I can’t go on! And won’t be going back here either! Its a shame, I was really optimistic about finding my go-to Mongolian BBQ spot!!!

Service was horrendous, for a food allergy eating there can be a bit dangerous in the first place — but to be growled at and treated like a disease was a humongous slap in the face. The person at the secondary grill treated me as if I was diseased when I told them of my allergy to mushrooms. His prompt response was for me to «tell the guys at the grill» after being asked politely from the grillers to go to the secondary grill. After trying to explain to the rude attendant at the secondary grill I was directed back there, «I don’t know what you want me to do about it.» I promptly dropped my bowl and sauce at the counter and got my family members out of the restaurant. Over seven years of being a loyal patron, I will not be coming back there, ever, after my food allergy not being taken seriously.

Love this place. Children under 3 eat for free. I got one full bowl of stir fry and a very large Long Island iced tea and fed my little one for under $ 20. Lost one star because I wasn’t thrilled by the service. People were a tad rude with things like helping opening the doors even seeing that I had two small kids with me, our waitress was slightly unpleasant but not horrible either. Great food, not so great service.

I can’t give zero stars? This happened this past Sarurday in the bar area… The service was horrendous. The waitress/bartender was very rude. They ran out of rice and she told me they were making more. Twenty minutes later she says it will be done soon. Ten minutes later she comes back with a box for my cold food and says she will speak to her manager. Another ten minutes passes and she says my meal is free and gave 5 dollars off. She went on to tell me «you need to understand machines break and you can’t always get what you want, this is life.» I just wanted the food I came for and to pay for good service. I didn’t come to get free anything… I’ll never return because of that waitress.

Nancy is the best. I clocked her at about 3.7 seconds getting my ketchup for me. The mixture of an apple juice bottle flipped upside down into fresh squeezed lemonade was a nice touch too! I guess it was actually a Corona upside down inside of a Margarita. I apparently ordered this. Crazy how the world works. If you’ve ever seen a Skittles commercial, the end of the rainbow is undoubtedly here. All kidding aside, fantastic service, amazing bartender, great atmosphere.

I’m a huge fan! I can remember dining in Royal Oak the second week it was open. The owner was so excited about bring this concept to Michigan. We spoke to him about franchising and through the years we have always made it a point to bring guests visiting from other countries, it definitely left lasting impressions. We have celebrated many a milestone at various locations and can’t say one bad thing even as the company has been sold and changes have occurred I stand by: if your meal was bad, try again. If it is consistently bad ask for help. Don’t mix the meat. Consider a cooking class. If you are a veteran diner bring a group of friends and eat family style, pass all the plates and enjoy someone else’s concoctions. BON Appétit!

This place is pretty good. There is a wide variety of food options, for both meat eaters and vegetarians. If you do it right you can stack a lot of food into the provided bowls, and you can also eat a salad on the side for a pretty modest price. There are an array of meats and seafood(I enjoy the chicken), veggies, and also a variety of sauces and spices to add flavor. The food is always cooked well enough and you get a tiny bit of entertainment from the guys who fry it. It’s do-it-yourself stir fry with whatever you want, and that is why the place is still open and successful. When you’re there for the 10th time, the appeal kind of loses its luster. Sometimes people just want to show up to a restaurant, order their meal and have it brought to them. Obviously, the appeal of this place is to do it all yourself and have fun with friends and family. The prices are solid, they have an assortment of beers(that are getting better with IPA’s) and one bowl will fill you up. Give it a try for sure if you’ve never been, and if you do you will most likely go back afterward.
