Called for a recommendation for eyebrows and the desk clerk told me Kate was one of their best for eyebrows. So I went with their recommendation. I did not have my glasses on and the room was poorly lit, so when she handed me the mirror, my eyebrows looked ok. When I got home and looked again with glasses in a properly lit room — I was shocked —- could not believe how much she missed. Nothing like paying $ 30 to go home and then going home to redo your eyebrows !!!

After having 3 bad experiences at other salons in the Sterling Heights/Troy area I was VERY nervous to ever get my hair cut again. I have very thick, naturally curly hair, and knew exactly what I wanted, but no one seemed to be able to get it right. My mom gave me a gift certificate for a massage at Bocci and when paying I noticed that Taylor(at the front desk) had the exact hair cut I wanted. The girl who had cut her hair was not taking new clients, so she scheduled me with Karrie. THISISONEOFTHEBESTTHINGSTHATEVERHAPPENEDTOME! Karrie has been cutting and coloring my hair for over 4 years now. She is very easy going and energetic. I can’t wait to see what she does to my hair for my upcoming wedding. I trust her completely and know she would never do me wrong!

Nothing special. Went there a few times for mani/pedi and just thought it was overpriced for the services. There’s other places that can do the same job for much cheaper.

I have been to this salon several times for eyebrow waxing. Melissa used to do a great job, more waxing, less plucking. I have always had to wait for my appointment. A little wait is no big deal to me, I’m patient most of the time. For my 2nd to last appointment, the salon called me the day of and asked if I could come an hour early because Melissa had to leave early, which was fine with me. After going in an hour early, at their request, I still had to wait about 30 minutes for my appointment to begin. The entire time, Melissa was talking to another employee and she hurried through the appointment. Not her best work, but I figured she had something on her mind, since she had to leave early. I made another appointment. The next time, I waited more than 20 minutes for my appointment to begin. Again, not Melissa’s best work. Not sure if the salon overbooks appointments, or if Melissa does not manage her time properly. In addition to that though, something has changed with Melissa, and I will not go back to Bocci

I went for a full spa day on my birthday because it was a gift from a friend and it really wasn’t anything special. I got a facial but didn’t see a difference in my skin at all. I got a massage that was just ok. My pedi was good, but the mani didn’t last a week. And I asked for my hair curled, but the stylest put so much product in my hair that the curls fell out by the time I got home. My biggest complaint is that the services are way over-priced!

Tried to book 2 services with 2 weeks advance notice. They got back to me a week later. Accepted a suggested time with 2 hours(via smart phone) and then was told someone else had already booked the time slot. Yeah right, and then tried to say I didn’t get back for over an hour. Really… tacky, not professional at all. WILLNEVEREVERGOHEREFORANYSERVICE.

I have been going to Bocci since it was located up the street many years ago. I have known my stylist(James) longer than I have known my husband. He is methodical, and I trust him completely. I see Lisa for fills, and she does a great job. She keeps my nails very short the way I like them, and they do not look thick and fake. Both Tanya and Shannon M. are great for brows. I used to pine away for more friendly receptionists, but over the last several years they have gotten more and more friendly. Taylor is remarkably great at her job, and the other receptionists greet me by name every single visit. If you haven’t been to Bocci lately, I would strongly recommend that you try again. BTW, I have never experienced a scheduling problem at Bocci in the last 16 years, so the other person’s experience was very likely an fluke. They also have a Keurig, and a variety of K-cups…so delish.

The décor is nice. I’d really like a haircut. Too bad I’m still waiting for a haircut… after an hour of waiting and them telling me there was a scheduling mistake and not offering anything to remedy my inconvenience! They even had the nerve to ask me to wait till the stylist i am scheduled with to finish with her next appt before they start me. ****UPDATEPOST-SERVICES***** After my original post, I finally got in for a haircut with Kelly,(my original stylist was supposed to be Deana). I’ve heard great things about Deana but the salon staff told me Kelly was also very great, and I agree. The wait was not Kelly’s fault and I said to myself I was not to take out my aggression on Kelly. I did however, still express to her that this was my first time to the salon and I was being started out on a very very sour note. Kelly made an effort to talk to me and to express how bad she felt for my situation and mix up and continued to do a nice job on my hair. When I was done, she told me to sit tight so she could go talk to the manager. The owner returned instead and sat me down to have me explain to him what had happened. After patiently hearing me out, he thanked me for at least staying for my services and made a genuine effort to remedy the situation. He very kindly took care of my services for me and apologized for the events that transpired. He is a smart business man and showed that he cared about his clients’ experiences. I do think there was a mix up today and I will give them another shot.

Over-priced, bad attitudes and had my hair cut so poorly I had to go to another salon the same day to do damage control. This experience was 2yrs ago and I have not been back. I will gladly pay the high prices if the service is delivered.

I loved getting my nails done here, and hoped to try other services. But a bad haircut with an attitude and way too expensive changed my mind. Got my hair cut from a senior stylist, Sara, which since she was a senior stylist I thought I would get a great cut. Unfortunately that was not the case! Towards the end of the haircut I expressed concern at how it was looking, I also reminded her of what I wanted(a haircut I previously had so it was not far-fetched). She started getting short with me when I said I was not happy with how it looked. Since she didn’t seem to want to offer any solutions besides cutting it all off I decided to try to go home and work with it myself. But when I got to the front desk and found out it was $ 55 I told them something needed to be done, the receptionist left and came back– with the same stylist. Now she was pissed, she said what? you want me to cut it all off now? I said no, at least style it different. So we went back and I asked her to straighten it, she was pulling out hair with the straightener so I took over then left. After wards I tried to work with it but the next day had to go get it fixed by a different salon. Turns out it was not even in addition to being a bad cut. I am sad that this haircut soured my taste on Bocci, but since it was so bad and I did not even have the opportunity to get it fixed from someone else or talk to a manager I will not be back for any services.

I really wanted to like this salon– however I just cant due to the awful service. I have tried this salon approx 5 times for different services. My hair always turns out mediocre, and the reception staff is absolutely awful. No one greets you when you enter the salon. Once I tried to purchase a significant amount of retail products, and the receptionist was extremely rude and did not want to give me pricing on individual products. Awful experience — would not reccommend. There are to many other salons that have pleasant reception staff.

I originally came to this salon because I needed someone who could consistantly do a good job on my hair. I have been to many places where the person did a great job the first time, but the second time was about the same as a weed-wacker on my head. Kara has been very consistant, she is always attentive, and the ambiance of the salon is great. Their spa services are wonderful! I highly recommend!
