Yummy, the best chicken fattoush salad I’ve ever had. The only problem is they took away the small from the menu and now I have to order medium which is huge. I strongly recommend you try the Chicken fattoush

I would not dine in here again. May be ok for carry out. The service is friendly but very poor. The waitresses are very young and are clueless about being attentive and good service. Most of their time is spent fooling around behind the counter and bantering with the cook through the window. They are certainly not there to work. Girls– focus on your work and Customers while you are on the clock. Oh yes, the food. Food here is good but not as good as some of the reviews claim. About average for this type of food. The chicken lemon soup is great. The shawarma plate was good but the meat was cold when served. The chicken and lamb are tasty but need just a bit more seasoning. I passed a few similar places to get here but won’t again.

This place is certain to get my repeat business. My lamb and hummus was great, the lemon soup was really good, and my friends french fries were some of the best Ive ever had, like they were fried up ‘fish and chips’ style and just yummy. Its more of a café than a restaurant(as the name suggests) and I wouldve preferred slightly lower dinner prices, but the lunch prices seemed in line with(or slightly cheaper than) most Med places. The food here is a solid 5 stars, its the ambiance and dinner prices that brought it down to 4 stars.

The food here is like a rollercoaster. Some days OK others you will be bent over the toilet. I just stop going here for lunch due to the inconsistencies.

This was my first time in this restaurant. I was very pleased. The service was good. The waitress was friendly. I ordered the shrimp dinner. It was good. I would have liked to have more shrimp in the dinner though. The serving size was good. I would eat here again.

Thank you Unilocal.Went there based on reviews and this place has didn’t disappoint. We ordered the combination for 2 platter and it was awesome. I love arabic cuisine and they have it down. Portions are large and priced reasonably. Tawook, kafta, kibble balls, are crazy good. I highly recommend. Will definitely be back and using for parties.

This unassuming little storefront restaurant cooks up THEE best Lebanese food — busy busy on a midday afternoon says it all. Service is «just enough», which I appreciate, salad is fresh and plentiful, and hummus is SO good you will be craving that«taste» only Cedar Kebab has(i think it’s the olive oil). The kebab is SERIOUSLY otherwordly — I think they must have a charcoal grill for it to taste this good, and marinated with just the right amount of seasoning… I know I’m going on and on, but if you are fondly remembering the days of La Shish, you MUST give this a try. The only reason this does not get *5* stars is no homemade bread :-/

I’m very picky when it comes to Mediterranean restutants. Simply because there are so many options in the area. On a good day Cedar Kebob is top quality. From my experience however, the quality is not consistent. I’ve had stale pita bread and cold chicken. I’ve also had some of the best food I’ve ever had. I live right around the corner so it’s convenient for me to go here. If I moved would I drive out of my way to eat there– probably not.

I went here with my girlfriend and a few friends. It was a Saturday, so the weekend rush was around. However in this place we seemed to be alone for a good majority of the time we were there. Despite this the server was slow and the food was made slower. However I think this is likely due to they were the only 2 there. The food was mediocre at best. I had a kafta dish and the meat was so dry you could have used it as a floor scrubber. My girlfriend’s dish was decent. The rest of the group reported it was nothing to write home about either. They gave you a ton of rice with everything and very large sides. Not bad but a bit much. We all couldn’t finish. The real fun started about 6 hours after we were there. Of a group of 5 people who ate there 3 came down with poisoning that was pretty bad. The other 2 of us didn’t feel too hot either. So all in all, the food wasn’t that good, the atmosphere was ok, the service could have been better, and a group of customers got food poisoning. I wouldn’t recommend going and I really don’t understand the other reviews, with the way the kitchen looked through the window I’m sure we’re not the only ones here who have had issues.

After a long morning of work, I quickly looked around for some suggestions for lunch in the area. After a previous disaster of trying to get some good Chicken Schwarma, I was in the mood for some Mediterranean. I saw that Cedar Kabob has some raving reviews, so it was quickly decided as to where I was going. I came in just after the lunch rush… so I sat down in a booth, and was promptly greeted. Before I knew it, I had some pita bread, garlic sauce, and a banana smoothie in front of me… and all of the food was tasting fantastic. I had a pretty good feeling that the Chicken Schwarma Pita that I had just ordered was going to be pretty much near perfection. Sure enough… it did not disappoint. It was fantastic!!! The flavor was very bold and delightful. As I had finished my sandwich… I decided to take one for the road as well. The servers were more than happy to add onto my order, and were very prompt with keeping my beverages refilled. I will be sure to keep Cedar Kabob on my radar any time I’m in the area for lunch or dinner… because it is one of those places that you always remember thats around for a good meal.

I only ever get the Chicken Shawarma Sandwich to go since it’s on my way home. Call ahead so you don’t have to awkwardly stand around the register while you wait. I think I even saw a sign saying don’t sit at the tables while you are waiting for your carryout. The place is almost always bustling. The parking lot is usually full in the strip mall where they are located. Did I say the Chicken Shawarma is AWESOME! Sometimes I go all out and pay extra for more garlic sauce to dip them in. Pure heaven for taste.

It’s my second time here. So me and my friends came in to get something to go, we got the lamb and chicken schwarma dinner. Waited for a reasonable amount of time. The service was excellent the cashier let us know how long it will be and asked if we wanted pita bed and garlic bread since it came with it. When we got home the food was amazing, the chicken was by far the freshest grilled chicken strip I ever had. The garlic was the one that sealed the deal for me. The salad was fresh. I’ll definitely tell more of my friends to stop by here. One of the best and freshest Mediterranean food I’ve had in a long time!

Holy Garlic Spread!!! When I realized the Garlic Spread came with the pita and was complimentary, I felt like a kid at Christmas. As I polished off the second dish, I wondered when I would be cut off. But I wasn’t cut off, and the waitress could tell how in love with the stuff I was so she gave me 2 to take home! Wowee!!! At my former Mediterranean food establishment, you had to pay for the spread. Anyway…the service was great. The waitress was very sweet. I had Shish Tawook with rice and it was superb. The flavor was on point. My dad had the Lamb Kafta and it was very good as well. The rice was moist and delicious. The Chicken Lemon Rice soup was good but could use a little more rice and lemon. All in all, it was a terrific experience and I’ll be returning.

Great food at affordable prices. I got the chicken shawarma fattoush salad. The chicken was SO succulent and the salad dressing wasn’t overpowering. I love the garlic yogurt sauce that comes with the complementary pita. The service was also very attentive.

They are located in a strip mall near Naruto sushi. One of the better places around warren to get Middle eastern food. Good food, waitstaff was also very efficient. Food came out a little slow but over all I would go back. They serve pitas with all the meals too so bring your appetite

Cedar Kabob is a favorite of mine when I visit Sterling Heights for work. I really enjoy this unassuming place in a strip mall off of Van Dyke Ave. The service staff is warm, friendly, and provide an authentic experience for all of their guests. What’s that you say? You enjoy gigantic murals of majestic landscapes?!! Well, look no further than Cedar Kabob where the murals flow like wine. Hope you’re ready to dine amongst snowy peaks in the middle of Sterling Heights, MI ’cause if you’re dining in at Cedar Kabob, you have no choice but to enjoy these serene murals while sinking your teeth into a delicious falafel. On that note, get the lentil soup, falafel sandwich, and either a smoothie or baklava to round out your meal. You won’t be disappointed and your wallet will thank you later. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who has a hunger for Mediterranean food at an affordable price and requires their surrounding environment to be coated in acrylic paint… I know I do.

Went here for the first time today with my wife and her grandmother and I was throughly impressed. Everything on the menu is reasonably priced and portions were stellar. My wife and I ordered the kabob meal for 2 which came with 2 fattoush salads, a hummus that could easily be shared with 4 people, 2 skewers of chicken kabob and a large plate of Middle Eastern rice. They also serve the whole table with pita bread and garlic sauce. The chicken kabobs were the juiciest chunks of chicken I think I have ever had as well as flavorful. The fattoush was hands down the best fattoush I’ve ever had. My wife’s grandmother had a chicken shawarma sandwich along with trying all the food that we had. Her grandma was happily surprised(this was he first time eating middle eastern food) and said we have to come back. The service was good, even with the steady flow of people coming in for carry out. Little hole in the wall place with amazing food, definitely worth a try if you are in this neck of the woods.

Oh yes! Got my Fattoush and Chx Shawarma on yesterday. DEEELiiisssHHHHHHHH!!! I can see this place becoming a regular hang out for me. My sister and I, along with my 4 year old nephew, stopped in post condo shopping, and I’m so glad we did. We first started out at Jovan’s steakhouse, but my sister is a vegetarian, and outside of salad, they literally had nothing on their menu for her. I suggested Cedar Kabob Café, as a good friend(Lebanese too), said it was really good. And he was sooooo right! First off… for the three of us, our bill was only $ 17.09…ah huh… yep…you smell what I’m steppin in! I had a chicken shawarma sandwich and a small fattoush! The sandwich was huge, and the salad was nicely sized for a small. I was filled, stuffed, loaded, packed with happiness after eating this sandwich and salad. The shawarma was lucious! I am remembering it fondly this morning… mmmm…mmmm…wonderful and garlicky! So excited for another great authentic Middle Eastern café! :-) Go go go NOW!!!

I love this place! It’s cheap, it’s delicious and the service is friendly. My favorites: chicken shawarma sandwich, the lamb/chicken shawarma dinner plater, and grape leaves. And the garlic paste and pita – mega yum! The servings are generous, and definitely enough for two. The service is pretty fast, and the food is always great. Really, there’s no reason not to go here.
