April V. Is amazing! She helped me print color copies for a booklet that my daughter made for a school project. She could not have helped me more. She was calm under pressure as well, because she was the only one there and the store was full of last minute requests. The store has everything you could need for printing and shipping, and the service is great. I have four stars because they need to have more staff. No one should have to do that alone, especially in a busy location.

Very helpful. Lots of options for your shipping and coping needs. Would definitely return to this location.

FedEx always does an excellent job on our print orders. The staff is professional and friendly and always does our orders exactly the way we want them done.

Mark F’s experience is in parallel to what I went through. Gayle (Asst. Manager) talked down to me as a US Customs and Officer does (and I am a legal US citizen albeit not Caucasian). I called the store ahead of time since I wanted to ship a 2lb package and wanted to find out if FedEx had boxes for which I do not have to pay… wrong question to ask Gayle. A monologue followed, ending with a click. FedEx Sterling Heights, you will surely not get my business.

This was my go-​to FedEx store when I used to live in Michigan, so it has a special place in my heart. I went there almost daily (sometimes twice a day) to drop off shipments. I never really had much interaction with the employees since all I did was just drop my envelopes into the box.
I’m visiting this week and don’t have access to a printer, so when I need a printer I just email my attachments to the store and have them print it out. I have done this over the past two years when I’ve visited and never really had a complaint.
Yesterday was a different story. I walked in to pick up two pages of a printout. That task took me 10+ minutes. The problem was that the staff does not serve people in the order in which they arrive. It’s a crap shoot. I’ve experienced this to some extent before, but yesterday was over the top. I think some of this has to do with the general cluelessness of the customers too. It always seems like most customers in there have a combined IQ of the outside temperature.
Yesterday when I finally got to the counter, I encountered Mario, an unfriendly young man who acted as though he was doing me a favor. I told him that I had emailed my attachments in. He checked and said, «oh yeah, the one with no print instructions,» in a sarcastic tone.
I think if I hadn’t had years of experience with this store I would have given it one star.
I will say that April is always helpful. Also, I’ve encountered Mike… he’s a very nice guy.
Bottom line: if there are more than 2 customers in line, don’t expect swift service. If you’re the only customer, then it’s going to be fine.
