My experience with Magic was recent and it was for vinyl trim and gutters. The price was too high. The wait was too long and then they put me off another month, one week at a time. The sub-contractor’s crew did an OK job, but they broke our retractable awning. It cost $ 1,000 to fix. Magic said the sub-contractor was responsible and the sub-contractor was to bring me the money. Never did. Luckily, I still owed Magic for half and Magic told me to subtract the $ 1,000 from it, put check in a sealed envelope addressed to him and the sub-contractor would pick it up. He did but apparently went down the block and opened it. Came back to argue about the cost of fixing the awning and a shouting match ensued between him and my husband in the front yard. I would NEVER do business with Magic again!

This jerk wad rang my doorbell, so I took a peak out the window to see who it was. Just as I thought, a nobody j didn’t recognize. He saw me through my window and banged on my door and rang the doorbell a few more times. Complete asshole! Get a real job and stop harassing people for a living.

This incredibly rude company somehow claims they spoke with my 85 year old mother who scheduled an appointment for them to install insulation in my attic. I suspect instead they got her information from subscribing to the Ann Arbor paper because she doesn’t answer the door for strangers OR answer the phone. I get a call from them«confirming» my appointment and I tell them I or my mother NEVER made an appointment and then the women not only gets rude with me but accusatory. I tell them to cancel and not call us again. Just now I got a call from another rude person making a «follow-up» call. He starts arguing that I had an appointment with Magic and that’s why he’s calling. I argue back I cancelled that appointment that I never scheduled and told them not to call. He argues that I didn’t tell HIM not to call. Finally I hang up on him and before I can block the number he calls back to hang up on me. Deceptive business practices and rudeness. God knows I’ll never use them for ANYTHING in my home

I thought Magic only did window replacement, but they also install tub liners. I rent a house in Royal Oak and my landlord recently had the bathroom redone and used Magic to do the tub. I can’t speak to pricing, since she took care of that, but the rest of the project was mine to own. Magic did an ok-job. To be honest, if I were the homeowner I’d be asking for my money back. The guys who installed the tub were extremely friendly and professional. But their craftsmanship leaves much to be desired. The best part of the whole experience was meeting the installers. The hardware purchased by my landlord was completely wrong, but the installer agreed to go buy the correct hardware with his own money, and be reimbursed later. Exceptional customer service on the day of the install. The problem is that afterward, the shower head leaked terribly, which required a return visit. The liner also didn’t match up exactly with the window, which required return visit #2. My tub still doesn’t drain as well as it did before the liner, and the shower head STILL leaks a little. Additionally, when they were installing, the guys took the time out to tell me about how they do a great job to avoid that softness you feel when you stand in a lot of other tubs with liners. Well guess what? I have exactly that: soft spots throughout the tub floor. I’m tired of calling these guys back, taking time off of work to let them in and then still not having the problem corrected. I’m renting. I’ll live with it. But I wouldn’t recommend them for tubs. Dear Magic: stick with windows.
