This place is hands down my boyfriend’s favorite sushi place. Don’t get me wrong, I like it too — I have just had better. However, this one is close to our house *and* they have insane specials. They have 40% off certain rolls during lunchtime happy hour. One of those is the tsunami roll which is his favorite. The other rolls(usually what I get) are not high priced either. Another awesome thing about Naruto is that if you order a minimum of $ 7 a piece in sushi you can get a free soup and salad. I love their miso soup, the salad is a very basic bowl of lettuce with really good ginger dressing… but again it’s free and by the time I’m done with both my sushi is almost ready. I can’t even explain how cheap our bills have been here and we’ve had a few pieces to go. The happy hour here seems to fill up quick because of this, and the servers work really hard to keep up. I’ve been here three times in the past 2 months and will return again soon I’m sure.

#mayosushi all the rolls taste the exact same, you can’t really taste the fish. I guess someone who doesn’t often eat sushi would enjoy it.

This place has improved since my last review. I enjoy their sushi. It’s still not as good as noble fish but still pretty good. They have special rolls mon-th which gives em a point for me, hard to find discounted sushi. But I like the free soup and salad after u spend $ 7/person. The sashimi seems more fresh now and they give u a good portion of it. I also love the crab stick tempura from here. The duck ramen is not very good. Broth is decent but the duck is mostly fat, so it’s pretty disappointing. Avoid duck ramen if u can. The sushi is enjoyable and service isn’t bad and price is cheap. Definitely my go to in the area.

Very unique menu items however it’s a bit too pricey. We started with an appetizer, asparagus and onions wrapped in beef with teriaki sauce… it was junk. Luke warm and the beef was super chewy… also no asparagus! That was the whole damn point of getting it. We ordered 3 rolls… junk! Each one was identical in taste. The spicy mayo… tastes more like just mayo. The tables are pretty cool. but I’m confused with the 94.7rock playing. We are sushi whores and love to try new places looking for the best sushi. This place is a fail in our book. Sushi Bön is by far the best in this area.

Just went here for the first time with my girl friend. We were in a rush and we were in and out within 20 minutes. I got the chicken fried rice which had a lot of chicken and egg in it! It was great! My girl friend tried the tsunami roll and she loved it. Huge portions and great prices. We will be returning

Great quality sushi. Wouldn’t recommend any alternatives. There’s always a deal to be had here if you aren’t looking for a staple roll.

My wife doesn’t like fish … at all. I really don’t know how I got her to try this place out, but she absolutely loves it, as well as I. This is actually one of our favorite restaurants in the area! I won’t get too in-depth about the place as I only have two other sushi venues to compare Naruto to, but I’d consider the prices to be competitive, and there are crab and shrimp options for those of you who can’t stand to eat fish. We seem to always get something spicy, and I can’t say I’ve ever been disappointed by anything. In addition, their soup is good, the salad, and warm sake can make your dining experience a little more special.

We came, we ate, we didn’t like. Seafood ramen wasn’t cooked and was clumped together. Maybe I’ll try the sushi another time but for now, no thanks.

This is really good sushi/sashimi with a few fun surprises. I took Unilocal advice and ordered the crab-stuffed fried avocado appetizer and Loved it! I also ordered a Merlot with lunch, which goes against all common sense in a sushi place, but the wine was pretty good… And fairly inexpensive. The 2 of us also ordered a tuna roll and then several pieces(10?) of sashimi and all was fresh and tasty. The salad and miso soup comes with your order, so we had way too much food for two. All total, $ 45 and worth it. Note*. This is a small place and will be full at lunch due to the auto crowd.

Just revisited after a long respite. I’ve been back a few times since my first review, and i gelt the food and service was getting poorer and poorer with each visit. I don’t know if they changed management. Before the soup and salad was a standard. They give ot to you without asking, now you have to ask for it. Before there were sushi rolls that were half off… now there’s none. I always try to give them another chance(coz this is the only place i can get my #25 fried spicy shrimp udon) and i hope they will improve on their service and food taste(like when they first started)

This place is OK. Nothing that great, nothing that bad. Ordered take-out sushi twice. It wasn’t the best or worst. The waitress handling carry out orders wasn’t very friendly.

I am in love and I don’t care who knows it! I was won over at the first bite of the fried avocado app. It combines all of my favorite items in my sushi rolls-avocado, tempura, crab salad, spicy sauce, and sweet sauce. Also their roll specials that run from month to month are enough to make me a fan. At 40% off each, the specials are worth coming in. I love the interior also. The chairs are basically logs and the tables are naturally hewn, like a rustic log cabin. The waiter is friendly and service is prompt. Will definitely be visiting more often!

I had white tuna, salmon and yellowtail sashimi and wasn’t blown away, but wasn’t disappointed either. It did the job. One of my friends unfortunately got sick from one or all of the rolls she ordered. She said she was feeling sick at the restaurant, but wasn’t sure what it was until she got home. The rest of us were fine, however. Another friend ordered the bulgogi entrée which was great — very flavorful and plenty of meat. One had the duck ramen and said it was just ok. Not bad. Not great. All in all, the food, the service, everything was decent.

I had the chirashi and a couple nigiri pieces. I love love love the price point and is probably even cheaper than Noble Fish the quality is good enough to get a sushi fix(although i am not talking bad or poor quality like you get at asian buffets), but if your looking for top quality then this isn’t your place. Amaebi for $ 5!!! Amazing!!! When i lived in CA the price had gone all the way up to $ 8 for 2 pieces. The staff is quick and courteous. Since I came by myself I wasn’t able to see more of what they have to offer. At the moment they are doing construction on the road so it may be dificult to get to this plaza.

Location itself is a small hard to find building tucked away in a little strip mall, however once you get inside is well kept and clean it has natural wood tables made of stumps and thick cut tree for the top… the lights are covered by paper diffuser which is very interesting and comforting as it’s not too harsh on the eyes there are security cameras everywhere location clean safe… The salad was very delicious and the dressing that was on it was to die for I would definitely try again however when I ordered sushi rolls with soy paper there seemed to be an issue because they were loosely rolled and fell apart and we’re not filled up as much as They could be which made them fall apart faster. This is not to say that they don’t know how to make sushi because my boyfriend had also gotten sushi rolls but his were on seaweed paper and they turned out fine and looked great I think it just may be an issue of the sushi chef not using soy paper a lot which is understandable but I was slightly disappointed. Most of the sushi pieces fell apart before they even made it to the soy sauce out of the two rolls I had one piece of one of the sushi rolls did not fall apart… Other than that the service was great people were friendly everything went smoothly other than a little role snafu.

Some of the best sushi in Michigan. 5⁄5. I’ve eaten sushi in most of SE michigan and multiple states and Naruto is at the top.

Had a nice chat with the waiter and chef. Guessing the construction has gotten business slow, but that has resulted in very fast, friendly service and some great specials. I had a California and spicy tuna roll. Both were well constructed and flavor balanced. The chef also sent out a complimentary cucumber and fried shrimp roll that was an interesting juxtaposition– I think he was just playing with the food :)

Unilocal Unilocal Unilocal… I’ll be back for sure. Tasty rolls — TNT, Spicy Queen, and Caterpillar… Fast, friendly service. I was happy to see the place was pretty full when I went to pick up my carryout order. It’s a hit!

3.8÷5 Decided to round up! Little hidden gem in Sterling Heights. For the area, this is one of the best sushi joints. Friendly staff. Fast service. Good quality & quantity. I love the monthly specials. Check their website for their monthly specials. For May, they have 40% off the Tsunami roll, Salmon Fashion roll, and Naruto Sushi roll(Monday-Saturday). I personally enjoyed their Tsunami and Salmon Fashion roll. I was so full I could not even finish my rolls. I made my bf finish them. Will definitely be back!

Such a great little place! Clean, very friendly staff. Super fresh sushi. Lots to chose from. My boyfriend and I went today for lunch for the first time. No specials today as its a Sunday, but we have plans to go back before the months end to get a Tsunami! We had a Naruto spring, Naruto crunchy, dynamite, kamikaze, and an avocado/cucumber. It was all seriously amazing. Our server was adorable, very friendly and helpful. They serve coke, always a plus for us. The place was starting to fill up as we left and it had just opened when we arrived. A great sign! Can’t wait to go back and so glad we tried a new place.
