Rubbish people when it comes to customer service, I called in to know if they carry what I want. The lady asks me to talk in English when I ask my question in English she is dumbfounded. You guys are running indian store and don’t speak the language that’s a lot of bull. Guide the customer rather than acting superior

i have noticed below issue. Billing Twice *************** I have noticed that at least for one of the product in the list, they bill twice. It may be a mistake but not sure how it happens every time. It will be difficult to identify that which product is billed twice because their billing machine tells only VEG or GROCERY without details. One useful tip for everyone, count the no of products you buy vs no of items in bill before leaving the counter.

All that you need to live like in India. This location carries all the groceries and Indian stuff you want. There is also a restaurant, a bakery and a Boutique in this strip mall. So you get all your shopping and dinner done in one go… also take home cake from the bakery next door.

Don’t bother asking the workers for any help with items because they are clueless and don’t speak English. Although they aren’t any help I do find everything I need whenever I go. The spices are decently priced compared to Arabic stores which have very similar spices. They have great prices for oils(coconut, almond, castor etc) compared to many other places I’ve researched. I like the hair/skin care since I’m very much into natural ingredients and oils. Recommend this place.

Has all the good stuff an Indian craves for! The spicy snacks, the fresh vegetables, endless lentils, rice all at a good price. I’m a regular here and I always find whatever I’m looking for.

This is a pretty good store, it’s fairly big and has nearly everything(well, everything Indian. don’t go here looking for keffir lime) and like another posted posted, the spices are very inexpensive here and come in big bags. One word of warning, if you buy a big bag of «chili powder» this is NOT the same thing in the little jars at Kroger labeled as chili powder, it’s Indian chili powder and way hotter, more like cayenne level. Most things are labeled in English as well and a couple staff came to help me(though I probably looked a bit like I needed it being one of very few — 0 non-Indians in there). It’s pretty clean in there too unlike some places. The produce section was a bit jumbled and somewhat small. Some of that wasn’t clearly labeled. Was good enough stuff though. If you need unusual fruits and veggies you can’t find here, try Kim Nhung superstore on Dequinder, they have a ton of stuff, even Durian. I’d definitely go here again.

If you are Indian and live anywhere within a 25 mile radius of this store, you already know about it. If you are a fan of Indian cooking and you don’t, take a field trip. I live nearby and enjoy shopping at another Indian grocer but to go to Patel Brothers is more like going to the market than the grocer and when you check out be sure to ask for samosas! If you’re on a diet, your sale won’t be kind, but they are perhaps the best I’ve ever had and I’ve tried samosas all over the country. I love to take the brown paper bag out to the car and sit and enjoy one or maybe two and savor the flakey crust and the spices and flavor of this homely traditional treat is as good as it gets for sure! See you when I lose the 10 lbs. I gained over the holidays samosas!

I started going to Patel Brothers even before I moved to the neighborhood. It is my favorite Indian grocery in the metro area. It has all the ingredients I need to cook my favorite Indian dishes — all varieties of beans, rice and spices(including really good ready-made garam masala if I’m too lazy to make my own). These are complemented by a variety of frozen, canned, ready-to-eat box meals, mixes and snacks. If you are an Indian food cook or even just a fan, you’ll want to visit Patel Brothers.

Patel Brothers is kind of the reigning king of Indian grocers in the area. Think of smaller competitors like«Laxmi Foods» and«India Grocers,» and then think BIGGER, and more VARIETY. These guys have plenty of aisles of all the Desi lentils, spices, mixtures, pickled sides, frozen foods, juices that you can expect from an Indian grocer in metro Detroit. The variety of Indian film is pretty big. The calling card selection is very good. Also, the selection of quick sinful bites, such as samosa, jalebi, and other sweets is very good as well. The Patels that own and manage this place are your typical Patels. Skinny, brief yet helpful, and will help you find WHATEVER it is you need, because as the Patels say, «Bijness eez bijness»(«Business is business» in their accent). This is an Indian store that’s worth coming to if you live within 20 minutes of it. It’s got it all, so just do your homework, make your shopping list, and go! Another nice thing is that it’s very close to an Indian textile/clothing store as well. Too bad you can’t really bargain here like we do in India. Now, that would be cool!
