Lumber is always warped and junk. NOTETOHDMANAGEMENT: Throw away the junk rather than keep placing on top hoping some fool would buy. I can not wait for Menard’s in Warren to open! At least you don’t need to sift through their lumber for a good piece of wood. Never had an issue at Chesterfield Menard’s. As for the people, I never had an issue in this category. Been coming here for many, many years and know which ones to go to. They have two experts, women and a man that know their plumbing. A few great cashiers, kitchen Pc designer and she is very nice and knowledgable, and a eager beaver dude in lumber that works like a ox and is friendly. Then there is my favorite hot dog mom and daughter team(I will leave their names out to respect their privacy) serving Koegle’s dogs and other stuff. They are both a pleasure to talk to and always re-Brighton my day after sifting through cheap warped lumber. I may go to Menard’s for my lumber and most other items but will always stop in HD for my hot dogs on the way home.

I was in this location yesterday for upwards of an hour and a half with my husband. He needed some things to finish an electrical project at home, knew what he needed, but couldn’t find it anywhere. There wasn’t a single employee in that area to help us. When I did start looking for help, I found the employees there didn’t want to give me the time of day(perhaps because I’m a woman in a hardware store and they looked like alcoholic versions of the Brawny man). Anyways, we finally found someone willing to speak with us on the other side of the store, only to tell us, «that item is in the electrical section. There should be someone there to help you.» What a joke. I will never shop at this location again. The employees need a hard smack in the head here.

used the design services for cabinets and granite. My wife and I received very poor customer service through the entire process. I would not recommend using Home Depot for any type of Home Improvement as customer service is poor.

Just like another Unilocaler that reviewed this location I don’t know why I keep coming back. The only excuse I have is location, but it’s finally time that I put in the extra couple of miles and take my business to ACE or Lowe’s. There isn’t a friendly face at this location. Everyone looks like they are employed as anal thermometer testers. During my most recent visit I was in need of a water filter for the ice maker on my fridge. It took me over 5 minutes to find someone and once I did he was no help what so ever. It was almost a chore just having to speak to him. I wanted to say. «Look I know this isn’t your dream job, but buck up for God sake!» We all have our bad days, but I feel like this location is where they send all the employees who are on performance plans. This is just one of the several bad experiences I have had since moving to this area two years ago. Trust that I wouldn’t give 1 start for a pissy guy in the Appliance section. Please do yourself a favor and visit one of the location on Hall Rd or boycott the entire chain on principle like I will be doing now. Paying a little extra money is always worth better customer service!

I’ve had so many bad experiences at this location that I’m asking myself why I keep going there. Mostly because of location and they often have what I need. The only thing this Home Depot is missing, but it’s very important, is customer service. Not friendly, not helpful, not knowledgable about what they carry. Most employees are beyond useless. Example 1: I went to the flooring department looking for molding, standard, all houses and businesses have it. The«Floor Expert» told me that people don’t use that kind of molding anymore, they only use ¾ rounds which is ridiculous and untrue. He also told me that Home Depot doesn’t even carry that old fashioned kind of molding anymore. Yes, they do. 10 aisles down. 24 different kinds. When I went back to tell the«Floor Expert» he just shrugged like he did not care about this information or customer service at all. Example 2: This happened today, I went to the gardening department to buy 224″ x 24″ paving stones. I have several in my yard from this location, half of which I had to return because of all the cracks. Today I went through 20 of them with Rafael, who couldn’t even find 2 good ones. There were 3 people in the department who all told me they didn’t have any more in stock. I found out after I left that this was a lie, they didn’t look it up in the computer or check outside where there were pallets of them. When I complained that the stones were no good in stock the female employee shrugged and said, «Someone will buy them.» I didn’t tell her they were no good for no reason, they need to be off the shelf. Next she told me that Lowe’s and Meijer also have them and I could go there. She actually told me to go to their competitor. Her answers were unacceptable on so many levels and I told her so. Telling me that she was going to sell them anyway knowing they were defective made me angry. Lastly, the older female cashier, blonde and somewhat abrasive, actually complained about another customer TOME. Complaining that customer just walk up to the register asking her to get something for them. Which is exactly what I’d done a minute before. I am outraged by the lack of customer service. I could give way more examples, but I won’t bore you. Avoid this location.

My husband and I were walking down the main aisle looking very lost trying to find kitchen sinks. An entire group of upper management walked by us in the orange aprons, engaged in personal conversations. One said hello to us and continued walking. None of them offered to help. There were several employees busy stocking product. We were not acknowledged by them. Eventually just walked out. Bought a sink at Menard’s. I’ve been to this Home Depot several times. It is the closest hardware store to my home. Every experience I’ve had in the store is similar to this one. Terrible customer service.

Second Store tonight that had MULTIPLE Greeters at the door, but were engrossed in there daily stories, so NO greeting for me, and as I have said before, I do NOT need a greeting, please staff the store & the cash registers. I try very hard to avoid the big box stores & support my local true value hardware ‘Reindel’ but I needed multiple bulbs & fluorescent tubes, so here I am Home Depot. I was excited to find the old fashioned light bulbs versus the new fangled curly ones, so I bought 16 of them!
