I was very pleased Gutterman Roofing in the recent replacement of my old roof. Affordable and of high quality along with great work and professionalism sold me from start to finish. Special thanks to Terry and his great crew who made a great effort to keep the work area clean and to address the underlying roofing issues as well as around chimney areas. Great finish work. I highly recommend them for your roofing needs.

Kevin, Raul and Jamie from Gutterman Services installed new windows in our home. They were very professional and made the process very easy. They installed 10 new windows over a 2 day period, working diligently and meticulously to make sure the applications were perfect. I was amazed by how clean their installment process was too, they were very respectful about reducing their equipment impact and keeping our home clean from debris. They did a great job and I would definitely recommend working with them.

My husband had an excellent interaction with Larry, the guy that came for the estimate. He was very helpful and seemed honest and was easy to deal with in general. He told my husband they would be a couple weeks out and would charge 30% upfront and then bill the rest. That never happened.
The work was done with a day’s notice, not weeks (fine with us) and we were not charged the 30 percent (no big deal). However, when the work was complete, all the sharp, metal trimmings were left in the yard, including the downspout they trimmed off. Not only was it unprofessional to leave all the trash for us to clean up, the sharp metal trash is not what I want in a yard where kids and dogs play.
My husband emailed Gutterman to let them know we were unsatisfied with the way the job was left (it is possible the actual gutter coverings are going to work just fine; we don’t know yet). We got THREE bills in TWO days, right after the service, with ZERO follow up on the actual job. I emailed them to let them know they would have to wait for the bank to get it there (online bill pay). Then another bill came, along with one in the mail. So, four bills in three days. The FIRST bill we got, we sent the money from the bank. However, because it isn’t magicked over, it takes a few days for the bank to deliver. We then, THE NEXT DAY got a PHONE CALL AND AN EMAIL wanting money, with still NO MENTION of the crappy job. Once again, I replied when the bank was supposed to deliver. (It takes less than a week for the check to arrive.)
We paid our bill IMMEDIATELY (regardless of the few days it takes the bank to process), even though we were NOT satisfied, and they have hounded us EVERY SINGLE DAY for their money (do people usually hand them a check onsite?). We will never recommend them, we will never use them again. I’m not sure how quickly they are used to getting their money, but maybe they would have felt more secure if they’d simply gotten their 30% upfront? I have no idea what the rush is; we’ve never been harassed like this in our lives by any service company (maybe because the other companies know money doesn’t magically appear on their desks).

High quality work for less money. We asked for quotes from other companies and Gutterman used higher quality materials and were less expensive than the other companies. That should be enough reason to use them but there’s more. The president of the company, Chris Pauly, was personally involved with the entire process. Larry Bowersox is the salesman and as nice and as patient as could be and was very knowledgeable and guided us through the choices we needed to make. He also worked with our insurance company to help us get as much reimbursement as possible. The work went as planned and finished within 2 days. We had to replace our skylights and the new ones are gorgeous! Kevin Poole did the inside trim on the skylights and he is meticlous and also a nice guy. Gutterman Services did the work on our Aunt’s roof and that went as well as ours.

Called Gutterman with about 30K in work that needed to be done… the sales staff there really blew it.
Everything was a cheap sales pitch…“used car salesmen” type of sales pitch. No one actually listened, they just pushed their agenda. It seemed as if they were pushing other products, colors, etc. because they would get a higher commissions on these lesser used items no matter how much we said we didn’t want it.
Example: Told the salesman we needed Hardie panels in a certain color and the trim in a certain color. Anything else requires HOA approval… we did not want to deal with the HOA. He told us us James Hardie no longer makes our color and wouldn’t stop pitching a certain color and a completely different trim… said he couldn’t match our trim. In his book of samples was the exact same color trim from the exact manufacturer but he kept saying «no», its not exact and went back to pushing the other color.
Fact checked his statement with several other companies and everyone one of them said our color is one of the most common colors used and produced by manufacturer and they could order it same day. The trim was also available in the color samples he provided and in multiple textures, depending on our preference.
I would recommend trying out other companies long before you give these guys a call… you can never trust a company that is only interested in their own agenda to do right by you.

We had Gutterman perform a big project for us that included new vinly siding, gutters, downspouts, soffits, rake boards, and gable vents. Gutterman had the best price of the 4 companies that we had bid on the work and they did a fantastic job. Would not hesitate to use them again.
The work was split into two projects. First the siding. The siding guys were subcontractors (I think), but they did a great job. Took a couple days. After that, the Gutterman guys put the gutters on (also took a couple days). They ended up having to custom fit a piece over our bay window at no extra cost.
Special thanks to Larry for meeting with us, not being being a pushy salesman, and coming back out multiple times to make sure everything was in order. Also thanks to Kevin for finishing touches at the end. Everything looks great!

Back in May 2015, we had a REALLY BAD hail storm. I didn’t think anything of it until a friend told us they were getting their roof replaced as a result. They had gotten Gutterman Services for the job. We had decided that it was time to replace ours as well, had a consult with Gutterman and signed a contract. It was probably the best decision we could’ve made, as far as house work goes. They were always prompt in communication, and made every step as headache free as possible. If you’ve dealt with insurance and HOAs, you’d know that can be quite the feat. It was extremely helpful that we had a tech out there with the insurance adjuster. They were even able to get insurance to cover siding and gutter, in addition to the roof. All the work was done really well and thoroughly. To date, we have yet to find a nail in any of our grass or flowerbeds. I’d recommend their company to anybody who has replace housing exterior. This had to have been the most pleasant experience with contractors that I’ve had to date.

Last Tuesday Chris called and said he wanted to come and check to make sure that everything was indeed done correctly. He came by to check on things. He apologized for all the issues we had. Then he checked on the final installation. He found that one thing needed to be corrected. He told me I should hear back from Gutterman soon.
I got a call and email on Monday saying they would come Thursday. I did not to be there for the work to be done. The work got finished on Thursday.
It’s rare that the president of a company will admit to a few shortcomings that I dealt with. He seemed genuinely concerned and aplogetic. And I honestly believe he meant it.
If everything had been done the 1^st time I would have given 5 stars. So I feel comfortable with this 4 star. Chris seems to be a stand up guy, and I appreciate his time in valuing me as a customer.

I contracted Gutterman to do some work on my gutters. 3 weeks passed without so much as a call to discuss scheduling. My own 3 – 4 calls were met with promises to get a call back, and NONE of the calls were returned. Well over a month later the work was done without issue with the workmanship, but if this is how they treat their customers, I won’t be back.

I have used Gutterman twice now in the 22 308 zip code. They are hands-​down the best! Jorge scoped our entire job and did great. Personally followed up on the entire installation. Amilcar and Javier were onsite the whole time and took care of every little detail. They worked extremely hard. Really exceptional. Can’t wait until their new work is tested by the rain. Thanks guys! I have known Chris and his family for many years, and after interning at Gutterman this past summer I have been lucky enough to see the passion and hard work that truly goes into the creation and growth of a successful business. Although during the busy season they are in fact, busy and the wait can be a few weeks, it is because they really are doing their absolute best to make sure that each job is done correctly and with love. The employees at Gutterman Services truly are a family and I can assure you that they will do everything in their power to make sure your job is done to your liking and as quickly and safely as possible. Gutterman services is an amazing company and I have loved every second that I have spent there this summer!

I just had several windows and a sliding glass door replaced by Kevin and his partner at Gutterman. They took their time and did a fantastic job with the installation. I was worried there would be a lot of inside cleaning, patching, painting and trim work to deal with after the installation, but that was not the case. The inside and outside of my house were left clean and in great condition. I also got a walk-​through of the window features and instructions on how to adjust the tension on the sliding glass door, if I ever need to change it. One day after the installation, I received my final invoice. There were no surprises — it was the exact amount they quoted me in April. Fantastic!
The delivery took a little longer than their initial estimate of 6 – 8 weeks, but I was told that would probably be the case since they had a lot of jobs on the schedule and delays due to weather. Because they told us about the delay, it wasn’t an issue. I called the office to check on the order status a few times and the folks on the phone were always friendly and helpful.
This is the third project I’ve used Gutterman for in the last three years — the other two projects were replacing our old gutters with covered, larger gutters and power washing the house (they even did a roof inspection during the power washing). Everyone I’ve dealt with at the company has been professional and friendly and their work is top-​notch.

So glad I called them to go our gutters. We recently bought our first home and during the home inspection the inspector pointed out that the gutters were pulling away from the house, etc. Come to find out they hadn’t been serviced in 3+ years. We called Gutterman and they charged for a normal gutter cleaning, reattached the gutter jutting out while they were here, all while we didn’t even need to be home for this. Great communication from their office. Great experience, very happy with the result.

This was my third job Gutterman services have completed. Ann (one of owners) once again played a huge part of a successful job completion. Harold was the architect and sounding post for my covered gutter installation. Jaime and Herver performed the installation in a competent and careful manner. They care about their customers and are willing to work very hard for you. Thank You Gutterman!

We had a horrible experience with Gutterman Services. We have been lied to, ignored, treated rudely and had sub-​standard work performed on our house and had a great deal of personal property damage done by the work crews.
We were repeatedly told that the work would be performed on consecutive days and was supposed to be completed by Wednesday, July 11. The contract signed states work will be done within 7 days. Work was started on July 10 and the bulk was not finished until August 11, with a minor item still outstanding as of today, August 21. Gutterman canceled 3 scheduled dates to repair work done incorrectly, only one of which was due to weather. Below you will find a list of the areas that Gutterman agreed had deficient work performed but refused to come and remedy in a timely manner:
Property damage – The Gutterman crew created a great deal of personal property damage to our home. They left a gaping hole in the roof of our gazebo and attempted to tie the pieces together with a piece of trim cap they were using to cap our door surround material. Most upsetting is that when we arrived home and walked around the house with one of the crew he did not bother to mention this. They also left numerous scratches on our outdoor heat pump. Additionally, there were numerous items broken within our home that were on the wall that was having siding placed on it outside. During the walk-​through and at no other time was it ever mentioned that we needed to be concerned about any of our personal property, including the gazebo in our backyard or any of the items in our house on, or close to, the wall that the siding would be placed on. Gutterman provided compensation for some of the items, but not all, nor did they apologize or provide compensation for the time it took to clean, repair and replace the items they damaged or destroyed.
Back door – A wrong door was ordered and no one bothered to check this before starting work and ripping out our current door and threshold so that it could not be replaced. The new door was supposed to have gridlines and a doggy door but the one they ordered had neither. We asked for them to cut in a dog door to this door while they ordered the correct door and both my husband and I were told individually by a Gutterman employee that it was a steel door and there was no possible way to cut into it. I told this Gutterman employee that something must be done as we could not wait weeks for a dog door and that same employee then ordered the crew to cut into the door. He blatantly lied to us that he couldn’t cut into the door because he didn’t want to, and I don’t believe lying to a customer is ever acceptable. The correct door was supposedly put on rush order to arrive no later than July 24, but this door was not installed until August 11. The siding crew that was supposed to show up on July 10, then rescheduled to July 11 did not show up until July 13. I was at home all day on the 11^th waiting for the crew and never received notification via phone or email and neither my or my husband’s numerous calls were returned until around 6pm. Additionally the back of the house where the door crew had pulled away siding on July 10 to install the door left the house exposed. We were never comfortable with this but the door crew assured us that the siding crew would be there on the 11^th. They were not, and it rained very hard that night. We are still concerned if damage was caused by this water and if the damage will show itself months or years down the line. Additionally, the install crew didn’t seal all of the door seams.
Front door-​On Friday July 13 the door surround was worked on but the crew capped the header in a color we did not order and one that was different than the rest of the door making it look ridiculous. I have an email to Gutterman detailing the correct color scheme that was not followed. Also the trim cap at the top of the header had an unsightly seam right through the middle of it which Gutterman agreed to fix during a meeting on July 17 but that was not corrected until August 11. Lastly, the threshold and side were improperly caulked.
Siding-​Our contract included replacing the siding on the back of our home and the siding on the right side of the house. During our initial consultation, the salesman noted an area at the top where he was sure wood rot was the reason the trim cap on the rake board had pulled away. The board was completely exposed and black and we agreed to pay to replace it and it was part of our contract. We asked the siding crew about it on Friday, July 17^th when they had been there working on our house when we were not home and they admitted that they did not replace it even though the contract stated it was to be replaced and we were being charged for it. On August 11 Gutterman came back and removed the siding and capping and admitted the board should have been replaced and replaced it.

Chris & his company are a family business. We have had extensive work done by Chris and his team (skylight fixing, gutter installation, leaf guard installation, rotted wood replacement). I say family business because Chris has some family members literally working with him and he treats his team like family. Gutterman Services shows up when they say they will, are always detail oriented when cleaning up, and every person I have interacted with has always been very kind and courteous.

Love these guys! Had my entire roof replaced. The job was done in a day. They started bright and early and worked quickly. Left the place neat and tidy. Excellent workmanship, and polite and efficient workers. Very reasonably priced.

I am surprised at the two negative reviews that I see on Unilocal.I have used Gutterman for the past 10 years for various projects. This family-​owned business is responsive and professional — and honest in their assessments of necessary work.

I’ve used Gutterman Services for years for all roof cleaning work and am completely satisfied. I also have them do special work like installing diverters and rebuilding storm-​damaged sections.
The only issue is that they are so busy, it can take a few weeks to get on their schedule.
Never believe one review or one review site. Do your homework.
