Ordered about $ 45 worth of delivery from this place after having ate here before with my wife. Quantity is decent for the money, but you can’t beat their ½ off on Monday and Tuesday(even delivery). Sushi seemed slightly better on-site, but that’s probably just because you lose presentation during the packing and delivery process. Tasted fresh both times. Will be eating in/ordering from here much more often.

The sushi was really good. The noodles not so much.

The sushi is fantastic, and on Mondays and Tuesdays orders are 50% off! Though it does seem they are often understaffed on these days, always seems to be just 2 – 3 servers scrambling around full tables as well as taking care of pickup orders, tends to make for long dine-in wait times.

Awesome service tasty food and pleasant ambiance. The salmon teriyaki was so moist and the spicy tuna rolls were savory. The iced tea was fresh and the miso soup had perfect salt levels. I am coming back again :)

Maybe this is more of a dinner place, I came here for lunch and I felt very rushed. My main entrée came about 5 minutes just after I got my appetizer. And the waiter forgot to bring my salad. The food is great though! Just need to work on service. Updated review : Yup service still sucks

Terrible food, but good service. They need to improve food quality and taste. The much raved tea leave salad was just gross!!! Not my cup of tea…

They deliver. Like, actually drive to your home and deliver your sushi. That’s awesome. Are they my favorite sushi? No. But I have enjoyed all the various rolls I’ve ordered. We’ve ordered 5 or 6 times now. They are usually fast and everything tastes very fresh. 3.5 stars is what I’d rate the food — but for the complete experience — me not having to leave my house — I’ll bump to 4.

When I don’t want to go travel all the way to Mikaku, I go straight into my neighborhood plaza and get ½ price sushi on a Monday or Tuesday for a quick sushi fix. Though I have to say, this place is pretty average for a Japanese restaurant. I have gone here 3 times before writing this review, and I can tell you that on ½ sushi days they are pretty skimpy on their portions of fish within their sushi rolls. Most of the sushi I receive on my plate is sloppily prepared with the seaweed ring not fully stuck around the rice, and one time I had 2 cucumber rolls with the cucumber sticks shooting out of the roll and not even tucked in. Sushi is an art, and I really respect the craft that goes into it(because it’s very difficult!) but every time I come here, I get jipped on fish as well as presented with sloppy rolls, as if that was perfectly fine to serve to someone. And they aren’t even that busy when I come and they are also overstaffed. So I don’t see what’s the rush? I have also tried their lunch menu and, for $ 10 the bento isn’t that bad. Nothing amazing or stunning, but good for the price. Miso soup has always been watery and bland because it has been watered down. Their tempura is ok, but it’s nothing I can’t make from a frozen box bought at Costco… Then again it’s ½ price sushi, so I guess I won’t complain… but if you want REALLY good and REAL Japanese food, go to Mikaku!

Just moved to the area couple months ago. after a long work day was excited to get some Hibachi. Have had gone to multiple Hibachi restaurants around the area but was quite disappointed this time, first the chicken came swimming in a watery sauce, it was quite dry and we kept coming across little pieces of bone. The rice was good very different never have had corn in it. And we only got one side instead of both the soup and salad. All and all customer service when taking my order was professional. Don’t think I will be back.

Great sushi and specials! Staff is a little underwhelming but the product outshines the lackluster service. That being said I’ve eaten there three days in a row haha I’ll def be returning.

Good sushi in a very convenient location if you are from the Lowes Island area. Will continue to beat the dead horse that is ½ price Mondays and Tuesdays. Seriously. The best deal around. personal menu highlights: –seaweed salad –BMW roll –sweet potato roll(my favorite)

On Mondays and Tuesdays Miyama offers half price sushi rolls which is a great deal. The sushi is not the best I’ve ever had but it is consistently very good and if you sit in the bar area you can watch it be prepared. The restaurant also offers several cooked food options which is great for those not fully on board with sushi. The space is relatively small so avoid peak hours if you want to be seated immediately.

First time at Miyama this evening with family. It was great! We all love sushi and everything we ordered was delicious. All were beautifully presented. Try the 007 or the Miyama rolls — they won’t disappoint. We ordered some vegetable tempura which we liked. One of my children also had the dumpling soup and loved it. We will definitely return! As others have mentioned, the service was good — attentive and pleasant. Price was reasonable, but sushi is generally a bit expensive. We were there for dinner and spent a lot for 2 adults and 3 kids. Bringing children is fine if they know how to behave in a restaurant.

Ordered 2 rolls and an avocado salad. Sushi was good. Salad had a nice amount of avocado and I liked the sesame seeds sprinkled on top. I wish they hadn’t used so much iceberg lettuce though. Average experience with this place. I would eat here again if I was in the area but my preference would be to try other places first.

Average sushi. Decent price. got the gyoza, and two special rolls. Can’t remember them honestly… The sushi was decent. Half off on Monday/Tuesday will probably be the only reason I ever go back. It wasn’t bad by any means, it was just average. I’d much rather go next door to mokomandy and have a nice meal. Service wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t also that crowded.

Ok, I am seriously shocked that there is a place like this in the Sterling area. I was bored of my usual sushi spots(they’re good but just wanted something different) so tried this place… My first order was a venus roll and tuna roll. It was extremely fresh… and I mean, shockingly fresh. Wherever they are getting their fish from, I hope it never changes! I have since made several additional orders and was never disappointed. Everything tastes great and was fresh no matter what time of day or day of the week that I ordered. The venus roll is my favorite, their sushi/nigiri is good but they’re probably a little heavy on the rice. Other than that, it’s pretty damn good.

This Japanese restaurant gets the job done but nothing amazing. I ordered miso soup, California roll and shrimp tempura roll. The shrimp tempura roll was pretty good but the miso and California roll were average, if that. The service was good, very friendly attentive staff. Also, the food was made to order very quick! That’s always a plus.
