I had some of the worst customer service at this restaurant. First of all, I ordered a salad and asked for a side of rolls. They had the audacity to charge me $ 2.50 for two rolls. Where I come from, rolls come with a salad no questions asked. Then there was the matter of the water.
My waiter blatantly ignored my empty water glass and I was forced to drink my girlfriend’s water so I didn’t dehydrate. After twenty minutes, the manager noticed how parched we both were and finally refilled the glasses.

Best Italian food in area. Try the homemade pastas. Establishment is spacious and clean. Good parking we’ll run. Need some craft beers. Only disappointment is when you drive to Steubenville only to be locked out when they have private parties.

I was so excited to eat here but sadly disappointed. Service was terrible. Pasta was over cooked and food was cold. We felt very rushed and when you are at dinner with your family you want to take your time. The server did not clear dishes, check back or even make suggestions (knowing it was our first time). Also may i suggest fresh bread basket with dinner not stale, cold breadsticks. A dinner salad or cup of soup would be nice with entrees as well. Now as to atmosphere… the restaurant is very nice and clean. A bit loud.

Amazing food, great portion size, very well priced, and they have a very good staff. I would highly recommend trying anything on their menu. Their calzone are delicious along with their lasagna. All — in — All a wonderful place. Their dining room is very nice and their take out is always up to par.

I make sure to stop here every time I make a visit home. The owners are great and the servers and bartenders are very nice. I’ve never been disappointed in the food. Lobster bisque and seafood ravioli are pretty good.

Gnocchi with Pink Sauce is excellent. All their food is good. Very quickly, they’ve become a Steubenville favorite.

Terrible food and over priced. Pasta consistently over cooked and at times mushy. I even have ordered al dente gnocchi and still mush. Even «homemade» pasta shouldn’t be this way if cooked right. Sauce is too oily and spicy.
Their calzones and soup are pretty good. It’s what I’d recommend if like me your family drags you there.

Found this gem on Unilocal!and am glad I did! Placed an order over the phone, which included their ITALIAN PANINI, FOUR NAPKIN BURGER, OL’ STYLE FISH AND CHIPS and the GYRO PLATTER. For just around $ 38, we had a delicious meal much larger then four people could finish. The employee at the bar was polite and made us feel welcomed when we entered the restaurant for pickup. When we placed the order, we were quoted 25 min, a goal which they met with time to spare. All around it was a quality experience, earning it’s solid 4 star rating and $$ price point.

This was my first time experience with Scaffidi’s Restaurant and Tavern. Instead of eating in the restaurant, my family order take out. The online website includes a menu of all their dishes, which made ordering a breeze for the first time. I was very surprised that for a family of four, our order was completed in under 25 minutes! The food was excellent quality and I will definitely be returning to the restaurant in the near future.

Great food!!! First time trying this restaurant and a local had recommended it to us while we were in town for weekend. I thought the good was delicious and prices were very reasonable. Only took 1 star away for the waitress forgetting a meal and not realizing until we had grabbed the host and he put order in and got it to us

I was there once… that was enough! Noisy, an so not Italian… people rave about this place an I was not impressed… waitress was nice, service was good, food was sub par. Guess Steubenville just will never get a decent place to eat… heartburn heaven

Could not have asked for more. We ate on the bar side which was well decorated and very clean. Service was exceptional. Most importantly the food was delicious! Among us we ordered the muscles and meat, spaghetti and meatballs, and the seafood ravioli for me. I could tell the pasta was made with some love and pride. I recommend multiple visits.

My favorite Italian Restaurant in the area. I’ve been a fan since they were serving incredible Italian food in their small white house. Now they’re in a much bigger establishment, but the food is still just as incredible. The Calzones are huge and delicious. The Frutta Di Mare is wonderful. The Gnocchi’s? Best Gnocchis Ever! They’re nice and filling, but they have a lighter taste than other Gnocchis I’ve tried at other Italian restaurants. Their new Mount Vesuvius roast beef dinner is very simple but very satisfying. And any pasta you get here is full of authentic Italian homemade goodness. The servers and staff have always been friendly, and the décor is nice. My entire family just loves this place.

There are only a few times in one’s life when you find an Italian restaurant in a local town that is in-​fact one of the BEST.
This restaurant is the best in town locally owned. Honestly, the food is great, the service wonderful, and the atmosphere is friendly.
Ps. Try any pasta and you will be overcome by a delicious explosion of deliciousness.
