People’s Meat Market

Needless to say I wasted $ 250.00 on venison being processed into hot stick or should I say no taste, mush sticks.
I had my deer from 2014 rifle season processed into hot stick minus backstraps and tenderloins. After picking them excited to get home and tear into them I was extreamly disappointed to fined they are like mush and raw with absolutely not even a hint of spice to them. The casings are still clear and when held bend right over like a raw piece of meat! After having two seperate professional opinions with both ending with the product being spit out I decided to call in hopes of a resolution, I was informed I would recieve a call back the next day… waiting… waitng… called again with a run around, waited… waited… called again, nothing so I waited… called again, finally was told to bring them back so they could smoke them longer. NO THANK YOU! I’LL TAKE MY VENISON YOU TRASHED ELSWHERE!

Love coming here to get meat bundles the meat is great not a lot of fat on it and the bacon is amazing! It doesn’t have a lot of fat on it and not greasy at all just perfect. It’s about a 20 min drive for me but well worth it.

I found a great selection of differently seasoned sausages for great prices and locally-​sourced meat. I give it ⁵⁄₅.

Last week my wife Sarah suggested that we have beef brats for a family get together.
I checked the local grocery stores. Although the local grocery stores are a thousand percent larger than Peoples Market none of them had beef brats. I purchased a large quanity from Peoples. Everyone loved the brats.

My go to place for beef tendon to put in my phở noodle soup. I paid about $ 3 for 4 – 5 tendons. They also have locally packaged egg rolls, different flavors of sausage, ground meat, smoked links, Portesi pizza, pickled eggs, chips, soda and so forth. It smelled like foul meat but it’s only because the butchering area is right behind the display counter. There are also items left out you may purchase for your four-​legged best friend.
This is such a better establishment than Ski’s Meat Market. So much more approachable. If you don’t see something out on display, just ask the staff. They are awesome. Friendly and laid back, more than willing to help.

People’s Meat Market is the least pretentious and most approachable meat marketing in Stevens Point. They have a great selection of fresh and frozen meats, as well as some great seasonal, deli, and local items (Tak Yee Egg Rolls, Portosi Cheese Fries, potatoes, etc.)
This has become my go-​to location for Lamb, Pork, Hot Dogs (Footlong in natural casing), and Brats (a wide selection of gourmet flavors). My favorite pick is their ground pork, which I use to make my own breakfast sausage.
The people who work here are friendly and helpful. If you’ve visit Ski’s and been discouraged by low service and high prices, you’ll love this place. And, it’s just a little bit further down the road. You won’t be waiting in line for service here. Credit cards accepted.

they have oxtail, smoked polish sausage, pork chops, fresh eggs, corn, and many more…
i was able to find most of the things i was looking for at this place. the people are nice and the location was very easy to find.
i will definitely be back.
