Small selection. Over priced. Didn’t take orders or requests. Just a blazey meat market with high prices dressed up to look fancy

I am absolutely OBSESSED with Ski’s. The incredible selection of specialty bratwurst is mind blowing — I walked out with a sackful yesterday and had the grillout of a lifetime! They have an incredible selection of cheeses, meats and other products too. If I could only pick this entire store up and bring it home with me to California, I most surely would. Short of that, I will make a pilgrimage to the alter of Ski’s every time I’m back in Wisconsin.

Love the meat but it’s too pricey, go to copps when choice chuck roasts are on sale and have them grind fresh for you, will result in similar and maybe better ground beef. As for the steaks, u gotta pay the high price for skis, I usually will go elsewhere

I love this place! They have the best quality meat in town! It’s not cheap but I know that I’m not getting processed meat like at other grocery stores! When I cook with their hamburger, chicken, pork chops, ect. My family and I can really tell the difference In taste and in look, the meat here is simply better!

So the 3 stars is due to high prices on most everything, especially the pizzas. But, pizza is excellent, just very pricey. I’ve really only bought some artisan cheeses(which are found cheaper at local grocers), occasional salami, and brats. The brats tend to be on the dry side, but nice selection of flavors. Nice little one stop shop for party needs, but get out your wallet.

I truly had no idea what to expect going in, but what a great experience! So the main reason for my stop was to find some brats for a family picnic. So many varieties, and they all sounded so good. We ended up with plain, cheddar, jalapeño cheddar, buffalo chicken, and red & blue; and they all got very positive reviews. Definitely worth the premium price. I didn’t have too much time to take a look at everything else, but I know I’l be back. There’s a beautiful selection of seafood, deli meat, cheeses, and other boutiquey items. The store was very clean, and I was helped quickly. Really a wonderful visit.

Dr Oz is requesting that we buy our meats from a real Butcher Shop like Ski’s so I’m heading over there today! Saw the video on Dr Oz of the ‘other’ companies selling meat and I’m outta there!

I love the selection of meats and they are very affordable. The customer service is great and it is very clean. They also carry some cheeses and have a deli section which is great to grab before a game. Just remember that they close early on Sundays, so if you’re shopping for a later Packer game, get there earlier in the day or the day before.

Outstanding meat market with a very distinct Wisconsin«feel» to it. SUPER friendly /helpful /knowledgeable staff. Try the Truffle Butter on a charcoal fire grilled steak. You won’t be sorry.

This place has the best customer service I’ve had pretty much anywhere. I came here last week looking for fresh lump crab meat to make homemade crab cakes. They did not have any(nor did anywhere else in Point for that matter), but took down my name and number and promised to call their seafood supplier to find out when/if it would become available. Upon hearing that they did not have any, and that very rarely they do, I was pleased that they took an extra step to see if they could get some in at some point and if I would like to be contacted when they had an answer. I ended up with some great, thick-cut pork chops instead. Higher quality than any of the grocery stores and priced better too. In addition to this experience, I have been very happy with previous stops here. The selection of pork, beef and fresh seafood is really good. With cheeses, breads and a small deli section — you could get the main components of a great meal here(with just a stop at the farmers market in the Square for veggies — you’d be all set). Overall, this last experience has made me consider making a special stop here every week for all of our meat grocery needs.

This is an old-fashioned meat market offering the latest in prime meats, cheeses and salads. I’ve been stopping by for about a year while I’m in town for business and I enjoy their sausages so much that now I’m having them sent to me because I can’t wait to get it on my next trip to Stevens Point. Service and product are top-notch. Make a point to stop by if you’re heading North(they’re just a little ways east of 39 on 10) or if you live in the area put them on the list of places to go. You won’t be disappointed. — Milwaukee Fan

Great steak and sides. Impressive cheese selection. Got our whole meal from this gem of a place. Friendly staff, great atmosphere(I know that you don’t normally associate atmosphere w a meat market, but this place has it!). I am looking forward to going back to participate in Sausage Fest so I can win a T-shirt!

What a great place!!! Love it. My wife and I love to go and get fine cheeses, artisanal bread, and fine meats. Great jerky! Nice sausage. Bell Evans chickens and Hogshead meats. Mmmm. The service is friendly and honest. Glad they are here

Ski’s is a very nice place, and the atmosphere inside is sterile, not too fluffy, and allows you to focus on the meat. That’s a great start for a butcher if you ask me. The variety of meat is nice, but I did find their local meat selection to be wanting. Considering that they market themselves as a local butcher for local meats, I was surprised that there were not more local options. It’s true that they have a great selection of meats, but a lot(most?) are imported from other areas of the U.S. I also noticed that a couple of products they were selling via other farms had new labels that focused more on Ski’s and less on the original farm. I may be missing something there, but it seems like there should be room for both the producer and the middle man, in this case Ski’s. Honestly, I hope they do very well because this is the sort of place that Stevens Point and Central Wisconsin needs. If they play their cards right, they could also become a central hub for local meats and local farmers in general. The more they can bring this into their business, the more business they will receive. At least, that’s what seems like the logical take on things. I do know that if they keep marketing themselves as providers of Wisconsin meats, but they only have Bell & Evans and other Northeastern providers, more people will realize that they’re not local at all. I think that what they’re offering now is great, but there’s a mixed message with what they have and what they say they have. That’s my main issue with them. Local is better for them, and it’s better for us.

Ski’s Meat market! Amazing place. Polka music, the best brats around, and amazing hommade jerky. You can tell that the meats found here are of a much higher quality than any grocery store and you can get other hard to find things here as well, i.e. Plaintain chips, pretzel rolls, farm fresh cheese curds(wow). A great place, just look out for the Culvers and BW3’s crowd nextdoor. They are on a mission and will not see you driving into them.
