I have been going to Ms. Aufderheide’s dentistry over three years. They have a clean office environment and a good dentist but the staffs in the office are not so pleasant with the clients. However, I didn’t care much about the attitude of the office staffs until recently. In July, I went to see Dr. Aufderheide and I was told to wait a week to confirm the method of a procedure and then wait for an estimate for one or two more weeks. One of her staff called and had verified to me that my retainer will be covered 50%. Apparently it was NOT covered. A few months later after I paid the half of the cost for the retainer in August another bill came in. I called the office immediately. They denied any part in this or to negotiate a price. Her secretary hung up on me once and the office manager was very rude and cunning about it. I asked for at least a discount and they offered me 10%. However, it was not 10% of the whole amount. They were charging me almost the whole amount and discounted $ 33.50 from $ 750 for the retainer. I am not pleased with this experience and would not return to their service again even if the Doctor has a good skill. It was not so much with the fact of money but the fairness and a good service manner.
