Good food, and great service. I was honestly a little surprised it was so good. I’m really picky with sushi and this was definitely on the top of my list. I’ll be going back.

Love Ichiban. Great local place. The atmosphere is not quite as splashy as Café Sado, but in my experience the food here is better. They serve a combination of sushi, Japanese entrees, and some Chinese styled dishes. The Grand Marnier shrimp is delicious, and rather unique. Great lunch specials too.

Great sushi. Small but what you kind of expect for a sushi restaurant. Everything is fresh and delicious. Try the shumai. Yum. .Get three or more rolls and you get them served on a boat. Definitely worth a try.

Someone has recommended them to me about a year ago in passing – all I can say is I made a mistake by not going sooner. It’s a very small place inside but nice. The sushi was fantastic and surprisingly cheap. They have a 3 roll for $ 9.99 special(if it’s take out, four if you dine in). My favorite was the salmon tempura. I highly recommend if you are in the area. Their sushi is better than some popular places across the bridge.

Awesome sushi!!! We got the 3 rolls for $ 9.99 deal where you can gets any roll $ 4-up for that price which is great! Their shrimp tempura is super delicious along with their uptown roll. There’s also a coupon on the takeout menu where if you dine in or take out and spend $ 25 you get a free California roll and who doesn’t want that lol. The place is clean and is charming. For the price and experience go to ICHIBAN!

3÷16÷14: Well, after many months of waiting, I finally had the opportunity to come by Ichiban again. How things have changed in only a few months! As many have stated, the owner’s children were running around everywhere during my visit as well. The food quality seems to have dropped for some reason(I had some of the same rolls as the previous visit). Also, the staff was not seem particularly happy to be there. I’ll give them another shot, but I hope this was just a fluke on their part and not a sign of continuing down this road.

The food is ordinary, but the dinning atmosphere is awful. I’ve been here twice with 6 months in between, but each time the owner’s family was there and using the dining room as their own living room. The grandparents were talking loudly, kids were writing homework and asking questions out loud, parents were scolding the kids not eating their vegetables… I feel I intrude their family dinner instead of having a dinner in a restaurant. Not a good experience for me.

Great sushi. Great prices. 4 rolls for 9.99 lunch special during the week. Sushi is 1.50 a piece on Sundays.

As long as I taught and lived over here, I NEVER thought to visit. Hell, I didn’t think that Kent Island would have a nice sushi place. It wasn’t until I moved away that I decided to eat here. The lunch specials were AMAZING! 4 rolls for $ 10!!! I love sushi and bargain. Since it was so cheap, I didn’t expect much. I was wrong! Their sushi was great! I had two cucumber rolls with cream cheese and two asparagus rolls with cream cheese. My dining companion had the dragon roll. It looked super cute! Like me, he was pleased with his selection. Our server was attentive the whole time, but she wasn’t hovering. In addition, she was very helpful with the various selections on the menus. Ichiban had an awesome wine and beer selection, and I had a sweet plum wine. Yum! If I am in the area, I am surely coming back! It is great sushi at an awesome price.

I’ve been to this little«hole in the wall» too many times to count. My son absolutely loves sushi, and the prices here are fantastic! Restaurant is usually empty on the weeknights, so acquiring a table and getting great service is never a problem. We typically stick to the rolls. There is always a special, and it’s what we like. I’ve not had much experience with any of the other food. I’ve never been disappointed in the quantity or quality of food received. It’s great to have yummy sushi on the island and I will keep going back again and again!

I spent 5 years in Japan and love sushi. This restaurant has certainly come around. They have a lot of new items on the menu, both cooked meals and sushi. The prices are good, and portions are great! It it also a family friendly environment. I like the sushi roll selection here a little more than Café Sado. Overall, give it a try and you won’t regret it.

This is an update. I’ve been here several times since my first visit and I will not be coming back. The portions of fish have become so unbelievably skimpy that they might as well just served a bowl of plain rice with pieces of seaweed. There was barely any fish in any of the rolls. Service was fine, but the place was empty. It’s always been empty. Now I understand why. You’re better off at Café Sado.

Good sushi, great service and price. Little skimpy on the meat in some of the rolls, but really good overall. Great selection. Will come back.
