Love this low key salon! Brenda is the best person who’s done my hair in the area! Very affordable. I drive an hour to get my hair done here.

Came here with friend for a blow dry and curling my hair so my review is just for that, not cut or color. Additionally the owner was very nice throughout my experience she didn’t do either of our hair but she seemed to be very attentive to our needs.
First off both of our appointments were at 12 but when we arrived we were told that the woman who was supposed to do my hair was running behind so one woman was going to have to do both of our hair. As the woman was blow drying my friends hair she wasn’t listening to any of the suggestions my friend was giving her on how she wanted her hair done and just kept saying «I know». Then when she started to do my hair 30 minutes after my appointment should have started, she was extremely flustered and kept saying how she wanted to be out of the store on time because she had somewhere to be at 2. According to their website they’re supposed to be open until four but everyone in the salon seemed to be set on leaving before 1:30. finally the person who was supposed to do my hair in the first place came over to help the woman who was curling my hair finish. The original curls were so poorly done and had so much hairspray in them that the second stylist ended up going over every single curl. I wanted the side to be pinned up and they ended up charging me for an updo, which was fine but I didn’t really understand how a few bobby pins holding up the side of my curls counted as an updo. The entire time we were there everyone acted very unprofessionally, the assistant was eating buffalo wings at one of the hair booths and then going to wash people’s hair. this is obviously a local establishment and they were plenty of customers there that were happy with the service they were getting but as an outsider coming in I felt that I was treated with no professionalism and I was kind of uncomfortable the whole time.
We also realized at the end that this was a booth rental salon so the owner could not have done anything even if she wanted to because our appointments for with the people who are renting those booths. I left the salon semi confident with my hair although there was still a lot of hairspray in it, and the style took an hour and a half to complete.
