I bought a diy notebook, and it is not worth it. I used it for my English class notebook and suddenly the paper would just fall out by just turning the pages. 50 cent composition notebooks is much better. Ughhh

Last month, I purchased a planner, additional pages and an accessory from russell + hazel. I guess Gartner Studios is responsible for the fulfillment of their orders so I received confirmation from their company. Upon ordering, I realized I purchased the 2014 edition instead off the 2015 edition. I immediately emailed their customer service asking if I can swap out the planners and pay the difference(there’s a reason why the planner I purchased was on sale!). Four days later, I get an email back saying I cannot make changes to my order and that it’s ABOUT to be shipped later that day. My order hadn’t even shipped yet and they were unwilling to make any changes! If you’re Amazon, I get that. Big warehouse, lots of moving parts. But a smalltown shop from Minnesota won’t take an extra moment to correct my order? And on top of that, they’re SO lazy that they don’t want to build their sale buy selling a regular price item vs. a sale price item. I wrote back and said that it was unfortunate because I have no need for a 2014 planner and will end up returning the ENTIRE order as soon as I receive it. Their response? Sounded truly apologetic but apologies are futile if there’s no solution. As promised, as soon as I received my order, I went to the post office, paid to have it shipped back and patiently awaited my refund. I made sure to add a tracking number to the package because I already didn’t trust the company and sure enough, I came to realize that my return had been received 10 days prior to my email and I still had not heard back from them or received a confirmation of arrival. Cherry on top: I received a PARTIAL refund. Yes, I read the Return Policy that s&h won’t be refunded. But by placing it in the RETURNPOLICYSECTION, it leads viewers to believe that the cost of returning the items won’t be refunded — not the shipping charge from the initial order! Overall, I spent $ 25 on s&h alone and receive $ 39 back. How is that ethical, honest, fair or a logical game plan to sustain a successful business? Oh right… it’s not. I’m still waiting to hear back from their MIA customer service representative on the phone. ***If you saw my long review and just scrolled to the bottom, just know this: DON’T SHOPHERE. I purchased name cards for my sons wedding and printed the cards with no problem using their template. Low and behold after doing all that work and printing. Their perforated edges SUCK!!! Had to use scissors on all of them. VERYTIMECONSUMING! Even their folded edges are not deep enough to fold. TERRIBLE! Customer service does not even answer even on the time they are open. Find another company.

This review if for their diy kits and customer service. I purchased one of their diy program kits and was having difficulty with the provided downloadable template. My images were not properly displaying. I emailed Gartner Studios customer service and they both called and emailed me within 24 hours. Kate offered to take care of inserting the images for me since she had seen the issue before with Macs. Ten minutes later I had a template all ready to be filled in with content for my wedding ceremony. As for the quality of the diy kits — They are exceptional and worth every penny. The paper is high end and a heavy weight. They look like something that came from the local stationer, not my printer!

This review is based on Gartner Studios’ 12″ X 12″ scrapbooking papers. My long and winding search has finally achieve closure as I’ve been scrying all over the cyberspace and craft arts retail stores. As an avid philatelic, Gartner Studios offer a vintage«postage stamps» in their Bön Voyage collection which is a great partnership of a few of my many passions to combine stamp collecting and scrapbooking. Sadly, no company or individual offer vintage products yet with a modern appeal.
