I wanted to like my burger. I love burgers and it looked amazing. It tasted bad! I couldn’t finish it. They overdo the seasoning, it just had bad flavor not sure how else to put it. Simple is better with burgers. The bun looked awesome but has a burnt wheat bread taste. The ladies were nice though so I’ll give 3 stars.

I’ve eaten from this food truck a number of times and have always had the best quality food. Sydney has a way of adding layers of flavors to her food. She does a great job at catering too. Food is to die for.

Of all the food trucks i have tried this is one of my favorites. Solid food everytime. The bugers are top notch. The buns, i think come from Farm to Market barkery. Local bakery a plus. The meat is top quality. So if you have to decide between food, i would choose this one when ever you see it. A yes. Search and find it.

Note to anyone who wants happy employees: pay for a delicious food truck to come to your place of work and feed your crew! This was how I experienced this food truck for the first time and I was impressed! I tried the Crawfish mac and cheese which was really flavorful with a chunky corn salsa, crawfish and shell noodles. The cheese sauce, although not as cheesy as a slightly cheese obsessed person like me would normally prefer, was a good creamy consistency and not sticky like some. I really loved the street tacos that had tender, smokey pulled pork, a bit of a bite(maybe from the salsa on top), and a slaw that added just the right amount of crunch and acidity. Yum! I’d definitely try this truck again, and maybe go for one of the burgers that all of my co-workers were raving about.

Got the Boom Boom burger with no bun, amazing! One of the better burgers I’ve had. A LOT of beef, good price and unique flavors. Check them out at first Fridays!

My son and I were at West Bottoms today and we were looking for a different food truck. Upon seeing all our options, we decided to try this one instead and boy were we in for a surprise. Based off what we were seeing people eating, we ordered the Boom Boom Burger and the Roadhouse Burger. We tried each other’s burgers and were pleasantly surprised with the flavor. The Boom Boom Burger had a bit of a kick to it, just enough to enjoy the flavors without tongue burning, overpowering spice. My Roadhouse Burger on the other hand was very savory, juicy with ooey — gooey Muenster cheese. The Roasted salsa & garlic ailing could have been stronger but it was a delicious burger anyway. Talking to other customers who had the chicken sandwich, they too agreed that you could taste the freshness of their ingredients. BOTB, you have done it right! Keep it up and don’t let up on your quality. It was all well worth the wait. Yummmmmm…

I have been watching the local food trucks and when one of interest is kind of near(none of them ever really come near me) I swing by to give them a try. The star of this food truck is definitely the crawfish mac and cheese. Although mine was terribly lacking in crawfish(4 pieces about the size of those itty bity salad shrimp) it was really good. At first I thought it didn’t need all the extras, but the roasted corn and scallions really make it a new mac and cheese experience. The nice subtle touch of heat in it is perfect. The creamy cheese and shells could easily stand on their own and be fantastic, but the added touches make this a world class mac and cheese! We also tried a hamburger and the roast beef. The hamburger was fully cooked and dry. I thought the order came out pretty quick and after taking a bite of the hamburger, I am guessing it had been sitting, not freshly cooked. The toppings were a little lacking. The bun was nice and airy complementing the burger perfectly. A fresh, medium burger and better balance between the toppings would make a great burger. The roast beef was pretty much opposite of the burger. The beef was nice and lean, thinly cut. Really good flavor and quality. The toppings though kind of overwhelmed the beef. The sandwich needs a larger helping of the beef to balance the toppings and make it the star. The marbled rye is a great bread choice and was fresh and delicious. The prices are fantastic. You will spend less than $ 10 for a sandwich, chips and drink and much better than fast food for about the same cost. Although there were some cons to the experience, I would not hesitate going to the Beauty of the Bistro or considering them for catering.

Best macaroni ever! I was lucky to have the opportunity to try Beauty of the Bistro at a benefit event. It was an awesome gesture of generosity– every food truck in attendance making a donation to the cause. I chose the crawfish macaroni and cheese. It is shell macaroni, plenty of creamy cheese sauce, roasted corn and tender spicy crawfish. Folks, let me tell you it was D-MF-licious! Matter of fact, if it weren’t for a silly roast beef sandwich I thought I also wanted to try, I probably would have gone back for another boat! I did not try anything else, but I did see some very enticing looking grilled wraps and burgers being served up. After just one try I think I will have to stalk this food truck!

Yep, believe the hype. The food really is this good. I enjoyed one of their juicy burgers this weekend and I must say I’m jealous of the folks that get to enjoy The Bistro on a regular basis. The burger was prepared perfectly, dressed up with cheese and tomato jam. I also tried the Crawfish Mac and Cheese. It too was very good, lots of cheese sauce over tender pasta with the smokey, buttery crawfish blended in. Only downside to that, there were just 2 pieces of crawfish in this serving. I look forward to finding this truck again.

Having previously read reviews of Beauty of the Bistro, I was ecstatic when my work sent out an email saying they would be on site for lunch today. Basically, I had my mind set on the Crawfish Mac & Cheese for the past week and have been dreaming of it every lunch since. I can tell you, it did not disappoint! Everything about it was tasty and 5-star worthy, from the portion size to the crawfish, corn, and green onions on top. My co-workers got the Market Salad with house made poppy seed dressing, Chicken Salad on a Ciabatta, Grilled Buffalo Chicken Wrap, and Boom Boom Burger. Everyone was raving about how fresh and tasty theirs was and I could definitely tell they enjoyed it. One co worker was lucky to get to try a bite of mine, traded for some grapes, although I think she got the better deal. The portion was big enough for me to save half for dinner tonight, definitely a great deal. Everyone working the truck was friendly and you could tell the food was being prepared fresh — well worth the wait. I really hope they come back to my work so I can indulge yet again.

Something strange and wonderful happened this weekend. For you see, my life was changed by macaroni. Not just any macaroni, mind you. By the crawfish mac and cheese from my new favorite food truck, Beauty of the Bistro. I had arrived in the West Bottoms for the first weekend antique crawl. It had been at least six months since I had visited, and was blown away by the ballooning number of food options. I wanted to try something new, and then noticed Beauty of the Bistro, tucked away into an alley. One look at the menu, and I was sold. I opted for crawfish macaroni, and it ended up being as decadent as it may sound. A massive portion, they certainly didn’t skimp on the crawfish, and complimented it with corn and green onions. I feel like I also tasted a touch of heat, maybe some cayenne or at the least red pepper. I wolfed it down, was full and satisfied, but would have easily eaten a second portion. I’d suffer over-eating stomach aches for a few more precious bites of this mac and cheese. And they’re not a one hit wonder! I had two companions, one who enjoyed Boom Boom Tacos(roasted pork with broccoli slaw in a flour tortilla w/jalopeno aioli) and the other a grilled pesto club with provolone on sourdough. Normally I’d be all over those tacos, but I was scared that if I asked for a bite, I’d have to offer up some of my meal. That wasn’t happening. I’m not sure of their schedule, but from their website it looks like they do catering and corporate events as well. All I know is that I’ll be on the lookout for this truck so that I can eat more delicious crawfish macaroni.

I have been wanting to get to this food truck forever. I finally made my way over to them. Oh I was not to be disappointed. I ordered several items and all with the best to be. So much that even before getting back the highway I wanted to turn around and get some more. The ladies were nice and helpful. If you can ever make it out south on a Wednesday or spot them on one of their rare times they venture out, they are must visit! Then just go crazy and order everything. So you won’t be kicking yourself later not doing so.

Amazingly delicious. This food truck was at the Ugly Sweater Run in Lawrence, and really could have stolen the show, even with hoards of runners in blinking, tinselly christmas dress and fake mustaches milling around. I just intended to grab coffee(which was good) but spotted crayfish mac and cheese on the menu and couldn’t resist. I mean, you’re supposed to carb-load before a race, right? Even if your race actually consists mostly of stopping along the way for hot chocolate and candy canes? Anyway, it really was the best mac and cheese I’ve had anywhere. Whoever planned the menu is clearly a creative and talented chef. The menu included the five star mac and cheese, tacos, and a few sandwiches that all sounded nearly as tempting. If they were anything like the mac and cheese, this truck should quickly attract a following. Maybe literally — I would be tempted to tail them for another order. The gourmet-sounding sandwiches were $ 5, and the truly delux mac and cheese $ 7. It was a really simple and blissfully tasty experience. I only wish this was something I could easily visit near home. If these folks were running a restaurant, I would live there.
