I live in Stockbridge so this is right around the corner. The burger was tasty. Don’t waste your time getting the bacon. It costs 1.50 was tiny and soggy. It’s a down home little hole in the wall with good customer service and good burgers.

The hamburgers are really good. Now days its hard to find a good burger. Every big name dine in place that sells burgers taste the same and I usually leave unsatisfied. Not here though. Everything was good. The burgers were quality and had a homey taste to them. Not like they were pre cooked or ran through an assembly line.

Good food, nice quaint atmosphere. The toppings bar left something to be desired. I wouldn’t drive that far off the interstate to eat there again.

It was first time here. People were really nice. Was it the best burger? No. But I enjoyed the time there. May try it again just in case it was just an «off» day. Along with bacon cheeseburger had the onion rings and husband had fries. We both had sweet tea. Fast service, nice people and average food.

So there veggie burger is amazing. The regular burger is amazing. The fried bologna sandwhich is amazing. The onion rings are amazing. That’s all I have tried so far and I plan on trying a few more things. ***The veggie burger is unique. It’s not like any other veggie burger I have ever tried. It’s got a southwestern spice to it(that’s the best I could describe it). IT’S SOOOOOGOOD.

For what it is — a local burger joint — the burgers and service are excellent. It’s friendly and clean, too. I would have liked some tomatos and lettuce on my burger but didn’t think to order it(thinking it would be on the fixins table). The décor is really cheap looking, though(really? 20 string art and U.S. Navy wallpaper?) The biggest problem I had, though, was the TV blaring Fox News. That in itself lowers the review at least a star.

The food was great! Service was FAST! The fixing bar leaves a little to be desired, the lettuce looked a little old, the onions were big enough to fry and serve, but they did have chopped onions as an option! The server didn’t ring us up for bacon as I ordered but we paid for it and it was bought to us pretty fast. I love that the sweet tea didn’t taste like an old batch, and it was not diabetic sweet! The burger itself was great… Your choice, white or wheat. Come hungry and you will be taken care of. This is definitely a place I will come to again! Enjoy, we did!

Best burger in Mcdonough, for sure! Atmosphere is a very casual — think picnic fare. I enjoy sitting outside at the picnic tables, especially late evening. The service is very personalized and the owner & employees have always checked in on me while eating. They’ve let me stay after closing to finish up before as well. The burger’s are great and I love they offer sweet potato fries. The cookies are exceptional but indulgent enough that you should probably share it. Mighty fine hamburger! Too few places take the time to season the meat, but these guys season it well and make the patties. The onion rings are great. Their condiment bar has 6 – 8 different selections, which amplifies the flavor. I highly recommend.

Traveling back home and wanted something different than the normal fast food. Good burger and great cookies! Love the side options as I am a tater tot fan. Kids loved being able to apply all the fix-ins. Tucked away in a shopping center but worth the stop!

Expensive and not so great. You have to build your own burger. Even if you call it in, they make you go in and build the burger and condiments in a self serve station. $ 8+ for a burger meal that you have to prepare yourself. Building is old and smells like mold. It was better when it was called penny’s. Also long wait… customer service could have been better, especially since I was the only person there.

Out of the two locations I’ve been to for Hamburger Mikes this one is my favorite. It’s a cute little spot that I agree with Mike D is in the middle of nowhere. I always leave full and satisfied. Nothing fancy here just a straight on burger place. The staff is always nice & ready with a recommendation if your willing to try something new and different. If your down on the south side stop on by.

Burger with blue cheese was delicious! The blue cheese gave is a smokey kick! The fries were cut fresh & crispy next dipped in some mayo & just melted in my mouth. Yummy! The chocolate chip HOMEMADE cookies!!! Wow! Not just chocolate chips but chopped chocolate bits too! Order a couple to go and enjoy them with a glass of milk.

When I first caught this ad in the local mailer, I thought to myself«Best hamburger in Henry County shouldn’t be that hard to do». Well, apparently it is because I’m sure that you could get a better burger at Ruby Tuesdays, Chili’s or any other number of places. Was it disgusting? No. I would say it’s about average. He advertises Angus meat which is fine, but in my experience Angus meat is not that great. Angus is sorta bland & tasteless, which is exactly what the burgers ended up being. Any trained chef knows that the whole Angus craze is all just marketing and it’s not that different than normal beef. Certified Angus Beef brand has many imitators with sub par specifications… but that’s another story altogether. Back to the burger… The buns are really good size and taste good. The meat was tender and the patties are a decent size but again, not that tasty. Now he does give you a free condiment bar where you can load up on everything, which is fine but that’s not why I get a burger to begin with. One Unilocaler below says the patties are frozen and I don’t know if that’s true. I will say that the sweet potato fries tasted like the ones we buy in the frozen section at the store. They dust the fries with confectionery sugar which makes them super tasty! The service was great though, every one in there was really nice and courteous. It is a little pricey for what you get. I mean when someone says they are the best, I expect the best. We recently bought some organic meat & made our own burgers on the grill that would beat this place easily. One last thing I would do if I was the owner would be to get rid of that old carpet in the place because as soon as you open the door you can smell that thing!

I’ve noticed a mixed bag as far as reviews. I have never been to the original store so my perspective is solely based on this restaurant. I personally like the owner. He is no nonsense, and pretty funny. It is a dry humor, but appreciated. Anyone that has a problem with how he is speaking to them, is probably speaking to him in the same manner. What they may be forgetting is that this is not a chain or franchise so if you are being rude or belligerent he may not grin and bear it like a franchise. I find this refreshing. You aren’t paying for the ambience. All the furniture and décor is relatively cheap. I’m fine with this because all I care about is the food. I don’t want to pay for ambience. The food is very good and simple. It’s a standard burger joint, with several other options for those that do no want burgers. Probably no more than 10 items on the menu. The burgers are very good, but not great. However, for the price you are paying I would say the burgers are great. You definitely get a good bang for your buck. I think the best thing about this place is the condiment station. It allows you to make your sandwich just the way you like. And don’t forget about the desserts. Their desserts are amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for good food at a good price. In fact, I recommended it someone today.

The day that I ate at Mike’s we had originally planned to stop off the interstate and pick up some chicken at another restaurant. As we pulled into the crowded parking lot, we got fed up and decided to try Mike’s on my mother’s recommendation. It was great. Exactly the kind of place you wish there were more of. It makes you wonder why people eat chain-restaurant garbage when you drive half a mile further and eat good food. The folks are very nice and they’ll even make you a different kind of burger if they have the ingredients. Try that at a chain restaurant.

There’s this tiny, little, strip shopping thing in the middle of what feels like nowhere on Jodeco Road. And I swear this Hamburger Mike’s food-counter has been«about to open» there for years. Much to my surprise, one day I drove by to find out it’s open, and made a mental note to go try it. I found a very congenial Mike at the register and some very talented staff working the grill. Everything on the very short menu is made to order. I had to try a good ol’ mushroom & Swiss burger, and a cup of the Irish chili. I’m ashamed I had to ask what«Irish Chili» is, even though I should have known the answer: it’s chili with potatoes instead of beans. And it was very tasty, even if it was just a tad salty.(Pssst, Mike, if you should ever read this: cut back on the salt.) And my burger was good. Straightforward. I enjoyed it. 1⁄3 lb. of Angus cooked medium.(They do a ½ lb. and a 2⁄3 lb., too.) They prep the patty with a dash of something that must be Lawry’s(or something similar). I’m not quite sure if this is a good thing or not, but I did enjoy the burger.(Pssst, Mike: give me lettuce leaves instead of shredded lettuce.) Hamburger Mike’s also serves other worthy things: grilled chicken, cheese-steaks, hot dogs… BUT: Two other things on the menu caught my eye: Mike’s serves a Fried Bologna Sandwich. Now just relax. Put away your pride and any preconceived notions about this country-fare tradition. Fried bologna can be a good thing. And I admit it – I am curious about this sandwich. There’s also a 30 oz Mighty Mike’s Burger™ on the menu. With accoutrements, that’s at least TWOPOUNDS of hamburger in your hands, my friend. I will personally never want to eat such a thing, but I’m bringing it to your attention in case you get a wild hair or something…
