Olympia Pizza

We were staying in Stockbridge and after spending a lot of time on Unilocal,this looked like a good option. We were not disappointed. We both had grinders with fries and ended up taking half of each back to our hotel. Good food, generous portions and great service.

Good and friendly customer service. Wasn’t expecting much, and quite surprised with the pizza! Very good sauce, lots of cheese, and a slightly sweet crust. Overall would very recommend!

The staff was nice the food was alright I dont think I would be comfortable eating in it looks a hole in the wall.

Probably the best Gyro Platter on the south side. I visit here anytime I am on this side of town. The portions are huge!!!

I think once I order the right thing I will fall in love with this place. The waitress was great and so was the food. I’ve purchased from here three times now. Each time I tried a different type of pizza. My last visit I got a Large Veggie and the BF ordered a Gyro plate. His lamb was so moist and good that I wondered, WTH didn’t I get that too. My pizza was excellent, but before we got home good with it the veggies had soaked the crust so much that you needed a fork to eat the crust. I hate soggy pizza so I just didn’t have anymore. But the pizza was otherwise very good.

I have to give these folks some love. I first experienced Olympia something like 30 years ago, when two charming ladies ran the place. Those grand dames have since sold the business, but the food there is just as good as the founders made it, and the service is still as friendly and personal as ever. Olympia remains a down-​home, family-​oriented business. This is no-​frills dining at its best. I love the pizzas. Grecian style. Always fresh. Excellent sauce, and the crust is always just right. Olympia also serves up some good gyros, salads, and sandwiches, too. (Mom loves the veggie sub.)
I am looking forward to my next visit to Olympia. Holler if you’re coming with.

Love coming here it’s not over priced and the food is great! They even deliver, the wings are priced by the pound but I don’t have a problem with the due to the fact that you actually get some wings and not something so small that you can’t even tell if it’s a wing or a piece of one.

Overall the pizza was just «okay»… The interior was just nasty looking and old. They had this dark carpet that looked like it had never been vacuumed, the servers and manager was just sitting there eating in the lobby in a big bowl making the schedule and the tables had this old picnic looking table cloth that needs to be replaced! Not washed, but replaced. I wanted to leave based off the look alone but had called in the order and paid already. So to sum it up, this place needs a makeover bc it looked nasty!

Olympia Pizza is solid food but nothing spectacular. It’s a pretty sizable menu and there are a ton of pizza options, but you can get other stuff too. It’s a sitdown place but the quality isn’t like, super gourmet. Just a nice spot to grab a bite if you need one step above carryout pizza.

I came here after a high school reunion because I haven’t been to the restaurant in over 30 years. It hasn’t changed much at all. It’s known for its pizza. On a Saturday afternoon we were seated right away. There only a couple of other tables occupied. The server was very friendly and accommodating. They now offer gluten-​free pizza crust. I ordered the Mediterranean pizza gluten-​free which only comes in the small but it really fills you up. We waited 45 minutes for our food to arrive but it came out steaming hot and the ingredients are very fresh. The grilled chicken salad was in a large bowl, surprisingly big for a small size. The only complaint I had at this restaurant was the long wait time and the dirty carpeting.

Best gyro meat ever! Pizzas are a little on the crispy side which is just not my personal preference. Their customer service is great! Everyone is so friendly. I’d eat here everyday.

I really wanted to like this place, 1 because I saw so many good reviews and 2 i love supporting local businesses not to mention it’s so close to my house. Unfortunately, nothing i have had from here was good.
I’ve had a gyro plate which was just okay, if that. I had the chicken parm which was just okay, if that. They put the sauce on top of the chicken which made the chicken just so soggy. And I just had the philly cheese steak last night which was just not good. The fries are so blah, they don’t even put salt.
I haven’t had the pizza here which might be what’s actually good here, but after all of my blah meals i doubt i’d even be back to try it.

Very friendly owners. IPA’s on draft. Good pizza and Greek salad. They stay very busy but staff is quick to get you seated as soon as table is free.

It’s back open with the original owners & recipes. Excellent greek pizza, salad, & gyros. Come in & support a local gem.

The pizza crust is somewhat of a pan crust. I prefer a thin crust pizza, but there are not a lot of options for good thin crust pizzas. Olympia is a family owned business that offers, good pizzas, grinders, calzones, and other menu items.
The pizza toppings are fresh and delicious. I often order pastrami, onions, and green peppers which is a tasty pizza. On my last visit, I went off menu and ordered a BBQ chicken pizza; BBQ sauce, chicken, onions and spinach. The flavor profile was on the money. but the crust did not hold as well as I would’ve liked.
Overall, the pizza was delicious and the cold beer was good too. Help me spread the news of good small businesses on the south side.

Excellent food. All fresh toppings on pizza. Olympia and Mediterranean pizzas were delicious. Great family atmosphere. Friendly staff. Owner came by table and made sure food was excellent and service was great.

A hidden gem indeed! Well, not really a gem, but when it comes to pizza: gold! If you are looking to feed 3 – 4 people, the medium will do! Yes, the pizza is huge but that is not why it is good. It just tastes fresh, the crust is soft and crunchy and delicious;no grease, and no sogginess despite the plentiful of toppings; best crust ever. Try the veggie Mediterranean and add gyro pieces on it: it’s decadent and rich.
We’ve ordered from here a few times, but last time we went in for the «experience.» Like my bf observed: this is like your typical mom and pop dinner you’d find in some little North Dakota town. If you are from ND (or anywhere like that) I’m sure you get it.
There are a few things that could be better. Most importantly, the «Greek» salad, which is not «Greek» at all…3 tomato slices sitting on a pile of lettuce, sprinkled frugally with feta is not a Greek salad. The dressing for it was very good though (so I think next time I’ll just get a side of the dressing and make the salad at home). Also, our server, although served us, was a little rough around the edges with other customers and seemed like she wished she were somewhere else (OK, I don’t blame her really).
So happy a place like that can be found in Stockbridge! (Hopefully I won’t jinx it. Last time I was happy for a restaurant around here it closed down)

Whitni and I were craving a gyro, and this place did not disappoint. The atmosphere is forgettable, but the wrap was probably the best, most authentic gyro I’ve ever enjoyed (and I’ve had quite a few). And it was only $ 5!
I’ll be back soon to try their souvlaki chicken gyro.

Closed down for awhile. Finally opened back up a couple months ago. Went in for the first time and tried the Gyros. They were great! I haven’t tried the pizza but believe me when I say that if the pizzas are anything like the gyros, you are gonna go home happy.
