Gelly’s Pub and Eatery

Very limited menu, mainly burgers. They were out of New Glarus beer. Service was not very good. The burger was excellent though. Homemade soup got good reviews from others in party. Don’t be in a hurry at lunch time.

Stockholm completely won me over while biking down the Wisconsin coast. Under new ownership, the proprietor is wonderful! Didn’t have any food, but the burgers looked delicious.

Bar & Eatery located on right on 35 in Wisconsin. After sitting down at a corner table we waited for someone to drop off menus early Sunday afternoon. No one approached us even though they clearly saw us from the bar (the place isn’t very big). A party of four came on and sat at the adjacent table. Menus and water soon arrived at their table. I had to go up and ask to be waited on — and they had wait staff not just bartenders.
If they were swamped I’d be more understanding but it was less than half full. After taking our order they never returned to the table. The food took 25 – 30 minutes to arrive. Not even a refill of water or a second beverage.
Based on their entrée menu consisting solely of burgers or grilled cheese sandwiches I assumed they would be good at it. The burgers were frozen patties and while on good buns were absent of any flavor and dry as a bone. They didn’t screw up the potato chips, fries or onion rings.
I’m sure their beer and liquor are just fine but they should remove «Eatery» from their name. If you’re hungry I’d look elsewhere.

Fried Fish and home made chips. One word: boring. I talked with the server and she said they can’t spice too much or the locals complain. It shows. Nice staff. My wife’s burger was good.

Good food. Friendly staff– efficient service. This place is small and does get very busy, however, it is worth giving it a try. We like the burgers, cheese curds and bloody Mary’s. The outdoor patio is good place to people watch.

Pub food. Only game in town. Hope you’re not in a hurry.

Have stopped here twice as it’s the only place in town that we could find to eat a regular meal. Unfortunately the service and food was just as bad the 2^nd time as the first. The chicken quesadillas had a mix of chicken, some shredded and barbeque, some seemed like chicken breast. I don’t want bbq sauce in a mexican food dish! It was nasty. The staff really need to work on being friendlier. We felt like we were imposing on them.

Cozy little bar in Stockholm, no frills, but a good beer list, including Rush River brews. I recommend the IPA.
About $ 6, the burgers are juicy and served with chips — extra for fries… or you can just go ahead and get the fried cheese curds. You know you want to.
Sit inside or head out to the patio. Either way, it’s a good place for people watching and a bite to eat.

Very friendly saloon right on Hwy. 35, featuring a large outdoor patio and a colorful dining/​bar area. Try the bloody mary. it’s nicely zippy and features a thin beef stick along with pickled carrot, cuke and an olive. We enjoyed Sunday brunch, which featured very tasty scrambled eggs with cheddar cheese, biscuits and gravy (home made), pastries (ditto), sauteed potatoes with steak, sausages, french toast, and more. Weekends bring out the chain drive wallet crowd, if that’s your thing. Staff are super friendly and welcoming. We like!

So nice and accommodating! The owners work their asses off yet always have the time to stop by and say hello and they’re super friendly. Prices are great and the food is terrific for a little shop by the lake — the fish frys!
Yeah every time I drive through on my way to Pepin, I make sure to stop in here to at least have a beer.
I ate there all weekend once during the film fest and my belly was full of yums and my pocketbook was still full of notes. Nice!

SUPER nice staff and great food in a casual atmosphere. I’ve visited Pepin and Stockholm, WI twice and stopped at Gelly’s a number of times on both trips. The Friday fish fry is great. Try the awesome sweet n’ sour beans!
You’re made to feel very welcome while eating there, almost like you’ve been invited into somebody’s living room. :)

Nice little bar/​grill sitting right on the Great River Road at Stockholm for road and people watching. Burgers, beer and excellent fish fry.
