I have ordered here a lot lately, the food that is served are enough to never feel as if you still need to eat, another words great price for great food.

Just picked up dinner at chop stick. Chop stick chow mien with pan fried noodles and prawns«house specialty«. The noodles tasted like they were left over from lunch. The prawns were cooked in very old oil. Asked for extra hot mustard. Got a half cup. Ill go to Dave Wongs from now on. There food is always good and consistent.

I’ve been coming here since I could chew solid food. It used to be our reward every time report cards came in. Now that I have moved out of Stockton, I make sure to stop by whenever I’m passing through(as long as it’s not on Monday). It’s small, take out or delivery only, but you get a LOT of food for your money(stick to the combo plates and order early!) Plus, it’s the only place where I can find pan-fried noodles – every other place has no idea what I’m talking about!

Fast friendly service! Love the cashew chicken. Very flavorful, yet light. Rice is fantastic as well as the prawns. The only thing… my deep fried asparagus was over fried. Edable… but greasy and too done. Still… a wonfer Chinese food place!

Always fresh Cantonese food, simple, filling, old fashioned Chinese food. Very nice folks at this Stockton icon. Prices are good and they deliver for a small charge as well. I will keep coming back as long as we both are around.

Some of the best Chinese food in Stockton. Been coming here since I was a kid. We had kung pow chicken, pork chow mein, pork fried rice, shrimp fried rice and some stuffed pork wontons. Everything was great!

We enjoy the chow mein with pan fried noodles, which is heavy on the crunchy veggies. Lots of sautéed sprouts, fresh celery, onions, and greens. I grew up ordering the take-out here, but must admit they’ve changed the quality of the fried prawns. Tonight we ordered the fried prawns and wouldn’t recommend them. Mostly breading now, with the prawn sliced in half. No bueno.

Worse Chinese food I have ever had, chicken was to greasy, rice wasn’t done, and the one piece of chicken they give me I had no idea what that was… I think it was a rabbit thigh… but anyway I give this place 5 yucks!!!

I really think that if they could toss the old food that shouldn’t be on shelves, then they wouldn’t have to put so many preservatives in there. I landed in hospital because of poor service, and I believe we spent $ 50, so, again this is just an update as to why you shouldn’t have to deal with this. Old food or not.

all I have to say is that they are dirty. I found a cockroach in my noodles. I returned the whole container and instead of them wanting to return my money they offered another container of noodles. AREYOUSERIOUS???, so I received my money back and going to turn them into the health board. 0 stars!

This is one of a few Good Old Chinese food restaurant in Stockton. This place has been here forever. Although, you can call in your order(Highly Recommend) or walk in, it’s either pick-up or delivery, it’s good food for the price. Today, I ordered a side order of pan fried noodles, prawns and salt & pepper spareribs. Called in the order and 10 minutes later when I pulled into the parking lot, I seen my food being bagged. That was a nice feeling

Chopsticks was my first stop for dinner this evening. So tonight we ordered Beef and Broccoli that my daughter ended up eating. This place is very small and if you’re driving Northbound on El Dorado, you could easily miss it. We come here from time to time. Chopsticks is one of many food spots my eldest daughter likes. Wherever my three children want to go, I’ll take them. I just love going places with them and treating them out to eat. So when we get a to go order, we keep it simple and order what we like. Rice and chow mein and whatever topping they chose. Beef and Broccoli tonight and shrimp or chicken tomorrow. Their closed on Mondays and open the rest of the week from 11 am to 9 pm. The best times to come is from 11 am to 4 pm. That’s when they have their lunch specials and the Combination plates are a few bucks cheaper. I always loved the food here a lot. It’s not skimpy when we come the to go boxes are usually pretty chubby. Just look at my pictures. We’ll be definitely be coming back in the near future. Ok this is one of those places that you would never see if you weren’t looking for it and from the outside would probably instill thoughts of a less than stellar meal. Oh how looks can be deceiving. First of all this place is take out only or delivery. The moment you walk in you notice the huge window to the very clean kitchen where you can watch them make your meal right in front of you. I always saw the kitchen staff washing their hands where appropriate and the people who take your order are always so pleasant. Now on to the food. I absolutely love the Tomato Beef Chow Mein. 1 order of it may seem like a side dish but trust me it is a meal unto itself and your taste buds will go crazy. It is not really that ketchup taste like sweet and sour but more of a fresh tomato taste with a nice delicate sweetness. Their combos are also huge. Definitely will make 2 meals out of one. I had the Kung Po beef and it was nice and spicy as well as flavorful just the way I like it. Only drawback is I’m not a big fan of their regular chow mein. I like more noodles and less veggies. All in all if you want to be stuffed with good Chinese food for not a lot of money this is the place.

Walked by this place on our way to another destination and my lady begged me to stop there with her soon to try it out. We’re new to the area and this was our first time trying a Chinese food spot. The location is next to a laundry mat, no influence at all on the place, but I so can definitely see myself taking my clothes to wash there and chomping on some Chinese while out. It looks cool inside and gets a thumbs up due to the open wide windowed kitchen area all in the back. You can literally view the cooks preparing everything right in front of your eyes. Neat touch. We were on a budget and, well, the prices didn’t exactly meet THAT economical feel. Frankly, they’re a bit on the expensive side for things. More specifically, price per quantity is a bit elevated. We were curious about the price of their largest pan of fried rice and let me tell you, it’s the highest price I’ve ever heard from a Chinese fast food place… ever. I get goosebumps just recalling that moment and I just may be struck by lightning if I repeat it on these chattering lips. Now, the order was slightly disheartening, as my lady specifically went here wanting War Wonton Soup. They knew what it was, which gives them some authenticity, but they did not have it. Good salesmanship however, because they offered an equivalent soup that was in some ways similar. Completing the order was a small serving of shrimp fried rice. Too expensive in my eyes, but we were at that point just splurging to try out the cooking. The food was… decent. Chinese, being my favorite food, combined with me being a health nut to the point of never eating out, is supposed to be worthwhile and unquestionably a treat. Yet, there was something lacking with the food. The shrimp fried rice had, and I stopped counting when I realized it would utterly perturb me, less than five pieces of shrimp in it. In Its weak defense, it was yummy. The equivalent of their war wonton soup was not that great. Their soup was below par in comparison to many other soups I’ve had. I barely had any as my interest was the rice. By the time my lady was done with her soup, she turned to me and said«we should’ve just ordered more shrimp fried rice and ditched the soup». I completely agreed. The most rewarding thing about the visit, surprisingly enough, was the customer service. On more than one moment while we were there, either I or my lady commented on the service. Whether it was one of the workers walking up and happily greeting us with a «Hi» and a gentle wave, or it was the moment while standing outside admiring the moon against the clouds on a cool night that one of the associates hand delivered our food with extra soy sauce at my lady’s request, we felt like great people leaving the store to try out the food. Overall, we may go there again for the fried rice and to give them another shot with something else, but the price and lack of quantity really was disheartening.

Absolutely love this place. I have been enjoying their pan fried noodles since before I can remember and had it multiple times on birthdays growing up. I have tried to find places with similar noodles now that I live out of town, but nothing else compares. Will be needing to make a stop in Stockton soon for this yummy place. =)

I love this place! The food is not cheap made but it’s very inexpensive. One dinner plate feeds 3 of us. It’s authentic and you see them make it in front of your eyes. I LOVEIT! My absolute fave.

For some reason wasn’t too happy with the plate I order today. I asked for extra spicy and came out with extra hot sauce over my rice plate. Shaking my head… i should of stuck to the same order… sometimes change is not good… lol

Got take-out here for the first time over the weekend, and we thought it was really good. Its certainly a hole-in-the wall kind of place, but you’re not in there for the ambiance… you get in, get your food, and get out. I really liked the big glass window in the waiting room where you could see them cooking your food to order.

These reviewers are WHACKED! This is one of the best Chinese places that I have ever eaten at! I have traveled around the world and I will always come back here for good, FRESH Chinese food. I have been going here since I was too young to talk! My dad would take me here and I would stand on the bench in front of the window and watch them make the food. They would always bring me a fortune cookie while we waited. We got take out every Christmas Eve until I was in my 20’s. LOVETHEFOOD! Best dishes include BBQ Pork Fried Rice, BBQ Pork Chow Mein w/Pan Fried Noodles, Chicken in Foil, Fried Shrimp, Egg Foo Young. It’s all good!!! Take Out ONLY and they to deliver.
