My neighbor recommend coming here. He said he’s been coming here for years and has never been disappointed. I took my suv in about 4 months ago and was highly impressed with the customer service and price I paid for the work preformed on my vehicle. So I decided to bring my Honda Civic in because the Honda dealership quoted me $ 800 for a few things I needed fixed on my car. I brought it here and they fixed it for $ 230. My check engine light is off and they fixed all the issues I was having. I’m excited I finally found a mechanic I can trust to get the work done and not charge me a arm and a leg.

This is our new auto shop. The young man (didn’t catch his name) is very knowledgeable and patient. He was very helpful and answered many many questions.

This place just saved me from throwing away $ 13,000! If that doesn’t deserve 5 stars, I don’t know what does. I was considering buying a gorgeous car off Craigslist. We had already been to see it the previous day and even taken it for a test drive. I got the seller to brig it here and they found ALL KINDS of problems! They gave me great attention and service and it was so cheap! I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone!
I am really surprised at the two bad reviews and that this place only has 3 stars… it’s an injustice. I think people need to get over themselves sometimes and realize that businesses get busy and can’t always sit and chat with you about your issues all day; especially when they are the ones that know what they are talking about. It seems to me that someone being upfront, honest and to the point is now considered «bad» customer service by people and that is garbage. Mechanics aren’t there to make you feel good and be nice to you. They are there to fix the problem.
If a picture is worth a thousand words, check out the photo with my review… that should tell you the real deal about the customer service here. They weren’t buying me flowers and rubbing my feet; the mechanics were all busy looking at the problem and conferring. When in Stockton, this is the only shop I ill be using from now on!

I’m glad that I found D & H I know nothing about cars and they were very helpful and reasonable with pricing. My truck was leaking water, they repaired the hose and had me on my way in a jiffy. I recommend them to everyone that needs their car fixed. 5+ stars.

Definitely disagree with the last review. D&H was unable to fix my prelude. In fact, they were unable to diagnose it properly.
Prelude wasn’t starting in the cold. They slated me for a new distributor, new thermostat, and valve adjustment. Spent close to $ 600 and none of it worked. I had replaced the distributor cap about a week before I took it to D&H. When they said they needed to replace the entire distributor, I asked for the «old» one back since I just purchased the cap. They said they didn’t have it anymore because they already traded it for the new one. How cheap.
After all that, my Dad figured out it was the ECM. Replaced it and has been working fine since (February). D & H is the typical mechanic that jerks customers around for unnecessary labor/​parts to make money. They play guess-​and-​check at the customers’ expense without any real problem solving.

I am surprised that I am the first to review this place. I am a young female and had called to inquire about bringing my car in and the guy who answered (he spoke English rather well… sounded young) was very rude to me. I asked him if I could just bring in my car since I had coolant leaking and he told me it’ll be $ 80 for diagnostic. wtf. That never happen to me before. I had also asked him a few questions and his answers were very short and rude. I had called this place previously for estimates on work done and they would always overcharge me compared to other mechanics in Stockton for the same exact work. Perhaps they like to charge $ 100/​hr for labor or something! Ha. Anyways, I wouldn’t bring my car here ever and would recommend the place next door called T & N Auto. They are not related, I asked. Haha.
