Denny’s

I try to stay away from chain restaurants like these, so I was already going in with mediocre expectations. The location is convenient to my hotel, the Holiday Inn Express. Yesterday I came in and ordered a veggie burger and fries, and was really disappointed. Coming from Portland I have a high standard for veggie burgers so I didnt want to be unfair. It is Dennys, after all. The fries weren’t impressive at all either and fries are hard to mess up! I figured I would give it another shot today since the restaurant I WANTED to go to was a half hour drive and I was feeling lazy. I ordered the fish & chips (replacing the fries with mashed potatoes… didnt want to make the same mistake twice) it was awful. I ate maybe ¼ of one of the fish fillets, the broccoli was rubbery like it had been sitting around forever and to top it off, there was a little red bug in my lemonade! I got up and paid leaving my uneaten meal. I will make better restaurant choices for the rest of my trip

As I was eating today with my wife on our lunch break, a nice sized roach crawled up on the seat and posted right next to me. I then got the attention of the waiter. I brought the waiter over to witness the critter who then notified the manager. (Who was not visible)
The waiter then responded by telling me our food was paid for and they would let the GM know. This was a horrible experience because we lost our appetite and did not eat the food at all. Sadly this is not the first time this has happen to us at Dennys.
I was more upset that the MOD couldn’t come out and talk to us.

Do not let employee NORMA serve you. She refuse to correct her mistakes and WELL forgets your orders.

Hungry after a cross country flight and bumper to bumper traffic from San Francisco. Ultimate omelet and half order of zesty nachos, food is good and s service with a smile.

this is very close to my home went in about 2 in the morning and were do i start pancakes were burnt bread was burnt and food was cold will not come i prefer jack in the crack with their nasty ass food

Bad customer service. Walked in, made eye contact with one of the employees, so she knew we had just walked in. We weren’t acknowledged at all. Just a little, «I’ll be right with you in just a sec» would have sufficed, but we got nothing. Noticed that a party was waiting to pay their bill as well. After waiting about 10 mins for us to be seated, we just left. While we were pulling out of the parking lot, I could still see that same party waiting around for an employee to take care of their bill. I would have just left at that point. Employees lack people skills. A simple, «Hello» goes a long way.

Look, if you’re looking for a review on Denny’s, you should check your pulse because chances are you aren’t even alive. The reason I’m writing this review is because of the kind actions by our waitress, Nena. Not only was she genuinely a very nice person, attentive and inviting — she took her own money to win my daughter not ONE but TWO stuffed animals from the money-​hungry claw game machine. Just a kind gesture that she took upon herself when she didn’t have to. She made an impact today.

will never eat here again. me and my coworkers come here all the time because its close to our job. and it’s better than jack n the box and taco bell. etc. they have messed up our orders on a few occasions. i let it go because mistakes happen. on 12june2015 i placed an order and my lunch is only 30 mins. by the time i got back to work and looked at my food it was not what i ordered. i called them immediately and the manager said that he would resolve the issue. so i call monday 15june2015 to replace the order as instructed. i even told them what time i would be there. i brought my receipt. got to denny’s to find out that my order hadn’t even been prepared. and the manager told me oh i thought you were going to call to place the order. really !!! wtf!!! do you think i called for. to say hello and to hang out. obviously i called to have my order remade. there was no other reason i would call!!! so now after this experience i am completely out done by this bull sh** denny’s who cant seem to get their sh** right. i used to love denny’s now i can’t stand this place. they obviously need better staff and better training. they do not have good listening skills. they do not value their customers at all. save your money people you are better off going to i-​hop, or a different denny’s this location is a complete disappointment!!! so in the end. i wasted my gas, and time. and ended up not even getting to eat lunch, because by the time figured out they hadn’t even made my food. it was no time to go to an alternate place because all the lines were long. that was a waste of a trip!!!

Great service thanks lupe! :) she always is on her feet, smiling at customers makes you feel welcomed when you walk in. Let’s not for get the cook excellent food always cooks everything I order to my liking and he always greets us regulars. Keep up the great work guys. Ps they deserve a raise

I mean, can I really dock this place down to just 2 stars simply because it’s depressing as heck? Not really fair to the establishment.
It’s as Denny’s as a Denny’s can be. A «grabbing» arcade machine sits in the front area, clearly hasn’t been used in years.
There aren’t many people inside and the music plays at a low volume, which makes you feel like you’re in a movie being made about depressing cafes.
The food I got was decent. Plastic-​feeling, and the hashed browns, chicken tenders, bread and eggs all sort of tasted the same. That’s weird. They shouldn’t all taste the same.
Oh well. It’s a Denny’s. A mildly upset stomach is sort of par for the course. Hence, 3 stars. That’s par, right?

My family had stopped going to Denny’s because of the unconcerned waitresses that wouldn’t welcome you as a guest. We came after our daughters soccer game and must say this is the best Denny’s we have ever been to. Nena was fabulous. She was very attentive, considerate, upbeat, and cared about her service. My husband and I ordered the skillet and the cook hit it right in the nose. Fresh, nice presentation and sizzling delicious. So he has been there over 20 years? Thats someone that is dedicated and love what they do. The cook and Nena has given usus another chance to visit Dennys. I will be calling corporate on Monday to express the experience.

I’m not gonna leave a bad review because I kinda like Denny’s more than some places. They had gnats in the restaurant that were bugging me while I waited for food. I don’t mind that they are in a place where they serve food (it happens), but just the fact they were buzzing around my ear and crawling on my legs made for an unpleasant experience. If they get that taken care of, I’ll leave 5 stars.

I wont ever eat here again

My waiter’s name was Lupe. She was a lazy and careless. The food didn’t look so good, but tasted ok. Service was a 2 and food was a 5 on a rate of 1 – 10.

The service was good, I didn’t care for the food. The nachos were so nasty I sent them back, but the waitress kindly removed them from my tab.

This is one of the best Denny’s I have been to. We were having a grandbaby at the nearby hospital and went here for early morning breakfast. Great food, great service and even the customers all were friendly to each other.

Typical Denny’s. Great service and in a convenient location next to the hotel and highway for anyone looking to stop by. I live near by so it’s convenient at times and very cheap to grab a bite and eat. Food is good as always, portions look smaller from what I remember but the place and restrooms are very clean and the waitresses are friendly and prompt.

I’m not a Denny’s fan at all, but my fiancé loves it and the other couple we were traveling with was very eager to come when we mentioned it, so we ended up here for dinner on our way to Yosemite. (If you’re wondering why we were on Highway 99, we got a little lost when 120 become a highway instead of a freeway and took a little detour up 99 — fortunately the stop at Denny’s helped us get back on track when we realized we couldn’t immediately get back on 120).
I don’t love the food here, but I do think this is one of the better, if not the best, Denny’s that I’ve been to. It was clean and the waitress was friendly and pretty competent. Some things are overpriced, but there are good deals to be had. I had the «build your own grand slam» which was $ 6 and allowed you to choose any 4 breakfast items (I had eggs, hashbrowns, toast and a biscuit). With the exception of the eggs, which were way too rubbery, everything was decent, if on the greasy side. Everyone else was pretty satisfied with their food as well. Bottom line: this location gave us what we expected (large quantities of reasonably priced, greasy food) and did it pretty well.

Their fried cheese melt is like a bad addiction for me. I know I shouldn’t do it, and I know that I’ll feel disgusting afterwards… but I just can’t say no. And for only $ 4? With fries? Just hook it to my vain and get this party started!
This Denny’s location was just like any other, so nothing to complain about there. Waitress was friendly, but she did forget the marinara sauce with the sandwich… which is like building a Sistine Chapel replica and forgetting to paint the roof. The issue was promptly delt with, so I can’t complain.
This is a fine place, but I just can’t get myself to give a Denny’s more than 3 stars. Nothing personal!
