I got 3 super burritos and there was more rice than anything else. No sour cream and hardly any cheese, stick to the taco trucks for more flavor.

Don’t be fooled by the horrible location. The food here is authentic and is one of the best I’ve had. Truly a dive spot. The carne asada, adobada, and carnitas meats are on point. The fat is trimmed off most of the meats. Great flavor to all three. To top it off their prices are below the average cost of other locations. I’ve tried their other taco truck locations and there is no difference between this concrete establishment and the trucks. This is a go to spot for tacos. However I would not visit this establishment at night. The for is not literally«to die for».

Best tacos! I come all the way from the bay area(where I live now) when I’m in Stockton I stop here by the train tracks and get them every time I’m back home in Stockton. Usually the guy makes them the best! The girl has made them and they weren’t as good, still good, but not amazing.

I like this little taco stand. It’s hidden behind a car lot and next to the railroad tracks. On Alpine and West LN. I come here every so often when I don’t have cash on me and use my debit card. Half the time I’m buzzing, so I don’t know what I’m ordering. So I take pictures to remind myself. Just Kidding LoL. I stick to what I like, chicken burritos or chicken tacos. I lived on the edge the other night and ordered Nachos from here. I just got back from Downey California and I was starving. Two chicken tacos, Nachos and a coke. What’s a plus they sell beer here too. But you know just bring your own beer and eat and sit on the bench outside like I do. Yeah to some this place may look like it belongs to a third world country. But it’s hella chill though, because it’s in the cuts. Eat, drink turn up the radio in your car and straight kick it. That’s how I roll. :) cheers Vincent D *VD* Life is Beautiful

I like the food but it depends whose making it. The girl who works here is really rude and doesn’t know how to count. She made my order wrong and when I confronted her about it she told me that I need to buy another order because they don’t remake their food. It’s a bit much too since they charge $ 0.50 for using a credit/debit card and $ 0.50 for extra salsa. Honestly the only good food they have here are tacos and tortas. Reminder, THESHORTDARKGIRLWORKINGHEREDOESNTGAFABOUTYOURORDERS so pay attention on how she writes your order down

Don’t judge a book by its cover! This place may look yucky but the food definitely isn’t. When it’s late and the taco trucks are gone, we come here to get our tacos. Any Grullense truck/stand/restaurant is the best! The food is delicious with good prices! The only downer is that there is no A/C so if you choose to stay and eat, don’t do it on a hot day :) It is open pretty darn late on Fridays and Saturdays so you can get your taco/burrito fix. Just be careful that late… It’s still Stockton and you wanna make sure you stay safe!

Ordered the super chicken burrito, mild with no cilantro. Lacked flavor… and as far as I could tell, lacked chicken, too. Won’t return. Adalberto’s was much better… I hope they reopen soon!

What everyone else said… Normally, you wouldn’t even think of it, stuck behind a used car lot, the place is pretty old, but they are the real deal. Had the carne asada grande burrito($ 6.50) and it was really good. All the ingredients were fresh and I’ll definitely be back.

Yessssssss omg yessssssss. This is a hidden gem behind a car lot. It looks dilapidated but don’t let the exterior fool you. So. damn. good.

Don’t judge its shack looking building! THE best place to get your tortas and tacos from. Tacos de lengua & pastor is on hit. I stay out north & whenever I want mexican food I always make the trip out here because their food is just that good.

El Grullense is a small red shack off of Alpine but definitely try it first before you judge it. It is one of the best places to get a burrito in Stockton! I can tell its a popular spot for the locals since there are always cars parked there! I ordered the lengua burrito which was around $ 5 and so HUGE that I got 2 meals out of it. The lengua was tender and rice and beans were really flavorful. The service was very quick and my burrito came with those yummy pickled jalapenos :)

This small little Mexican joint is B to the O-M-B! I ended up getting two tacos: one pollo and one carne asada. They were super well flavored with onions and a some green salsa on top. Each taco was $ 1.25 and my total for two tacos ended up being $ 2.70 after tax. My friend got the super burrito with chicken in it(which ended up being a little over $ 6). It came with EVERYTHING in it and was super well flavored! Also very large and well worth your money. There’s places to sit both outside and inside but we ended up just making our order from the small little togo window outside. Lady was super friendly and nice and service was fast. Will definitely come again! Oh, and if you ask for salsa and you like it spicy, ask for the Hot salsa! It will NOT disappoint you, I guarantee!

I absolutely love their burritos here. I think its one of the best carne asada burritos around here. The only downside here is that they have really jacked up thier prices in the last year or two. It’s almost 8 bucks now for a burrito and a can coke for a place you have to eat on the hood of your car. It’s also kind of a pain to get back onto west lane since they’ve built the car lot in front.

Probably the best of the Grullense restaurants. This one is more of a taco stand, but that’s what makes it so good. Small tacos with very authentic ingredients and fresh flavors, and monster burritos that are basically just a larger version of their tacos with beans. They also offer tortas. Everything is a bit spicy, so for those gringos out there, watch out! Many meat options in addition to beef, chicken, and pork. They offer traditional Mexican fare like sesos(brains), cabesa(head), and lenguas(tongue), etc. Oh and an unusual menu item for a taco stand, amburgesas! Yep hamburgers, and they are off the chain! Check em’ out in this desolate corner of Stockton!
