I don’t envy this place. There is nothing ultra here. I definitely don’t want to lounge here. But you can probably find me here on the weekends. LOL. maybe a few times out of the year. Want to know what its like to be here? Go into your garage and grab your radio that is tuned to KWIN and turn the volume all the way up. Make sure your wearing your Ed Hardy shirt then turn off the lights. There… you have your very own Envy Ultra Lounge! If your bored as hell and have no place to party I guess stop by here. It’s Stockton…

Went there for the first time last night, it will be the last time too. We got there around 11:30pm by 12:30 there had been 2 fights, the first was between girls and they shut the place down!!! We asked for our money back $ 10.00 cover charge, we were told mgt was still working out the details?! What details? Give me my money back!!! There were 2 birthday parties going on in the VIP area, I’m sure they were upset at having to end their evenings early. One group arrived in a stretch Hummer, I’m sure they had spent quite a bit on their party. Let’s grow up folks!!! Needless to say I will NEVER go back to ENVY!!! I’ts too bad the music was good, and the drinks were reasonably priced.

I’ve had some great times in this small club. Thursday nights seem to attracts allot of people. There is a cover charge after 10pm, so if you got some broke friends you better get there early.

I was actually expecting this place to be like NV in SF since it’s called Envy, but it’s not really like that at all. The DJ last Friday was spinning pretty good music, but I’m not a huge fan of the venue. It just felt like a small little room with a bar and a dance floor. There is a VIP area in the corner, but we weren’t VIP, so we never checked it out. I guess for a club in Stockton it’s a pretty good place. But I’ve definitely been to better places.

Good place to hang out and meet up with friends, although it does fill up really fast. 2 for 1 drinks and student night(free cover if you have UOPID) on Thursday nights make this a hot spot for UOP students and alum. The bartenders rock but the DJ music is pretty basic(mostly videos and generic remixes) but you can still get drunk and dance. Overall, not a bad place for Stockton, although the competition might be coming sooner than later.

Envy is not really a lounge, nor is it ultra in any way. But being the only«club» type of establishment in Stockton, the girls and I frequent Envy quite often. Thursday is College Night, so be prepared to hang with us young ones. And we’ll help you remember what it’s like to be hip. Speaking of remembering, that is completely impossible if you have more than three Liquid Cocaines here. Trust me, I speak from experience. What you can expect from Envy is the same as any bar in Stockton. A mix of out of control Pacific students and ghetto townies, in a cramped space, without proper ventilation. Basically, it’s just pathetic and/or good times in the 209! +1 for ridiculously strong drinks. +1 for cute bartender with the mohawk.

With respect to the two Unilocalers previous, this joint needs a proper breakdown.
So let me break it down so that it shall forever remain broken: This place fails utterly. I wanted to bolt within the first 5 minutes of being there, but since my friends paid 10 whole dollars for a cover charge I was compelled to suffer and take notes for this Unilocal. Maybe I would have no problem with this place if it was just called Joe’s Lounge or Stockton Rocks(haha! I’m old) but this place is called«Ultra Envy Lounge» with the audacity to claim it was inspired in the mold of Las Vegas /NY /SF type clubs. That is f-ing outrageous. Hey if you don’t get out that much or you don’t watch TV or you just got done serving time, then maybe you will believe that two flatscreens, a shiny bar and a VIP booth that really looks like just an actual booth can be considered sophisticated and classy. Well I’m sorry to say that this joint is about as sophisticated as a monkey in a tuxedo. The pretension is what really kills this place as much as the ambiance(i’m not sure if that’s even an appropriate word to use here). IThe dresscode is STRICTLY enforced but the hometown crowd winds up looking like townies decked out in the best that Weberstown mall has to offer. I know you’re expecting me to say«ghetto fab» but that would be inaccurate because ghetto fab is flashy and bold not boring and shabby. The music drove me crazy because at no time did the DJ transition from R&B to old school hip-hop, all he did was play set after set of booty shaking music. It was like he hated me and he was trying to numb my soul. What more can I say about this place that hasn’t already been said about the plot of the Beverly Hillbillies? This is Stockton, for the most part we’re violent and we’re blue-collar, we have no pretensions about what our city is like. The concept of an ULTRAENVY anything here is just delusional from the start. It’s like jamming a square peg into a… shitty town. It’s just all wrong and even though I wasn’t there very long I was so bothered by my experience that the thought of never going back there actually comforts me.

Eh after reading JJ’s review I gotta agree let me tell you about my experience here. I came here because my friend was turning 21 and there was no where else to go. This place is just so full of shit. The interior tries to be something trendy but it feels like I’m hanging out in someone’s garage with some Christmas lights on. I know usually service is rather shitty at nightclubs but this was just ridiculous. The drinks didn’t have enough booze in my opinion. The VIP was complete fail and it was just so funny to me when I was sitting down next to it and when this guy walked in with four chicks and he had the biggest«Yea I’m the shit» look on his face. But then again most of the people here have that look. WAKEUPPEOPLE. This is still a fail Stockton attempt to do a half-assed job of trying to be trendy. Put lipstick on a pig and it’s still a pig. And there are SO many people and weird townies. At one point a guy grabbed my shoulder and pushed me against the wall. I’m sure he was drunk but wtf? Dance floor is a weird hallway and creepy old guys with gray ponytails kept trying to pick up on me and my friends. I don’t know personally I prefer to going to divey place or a place that’s fully committed to not being this pretentious pos.

Not bad for a Stockton Bar/Night club scene. I was here on a Thursday night for a friend’s birthday and was impressed that Stockton even had a nice loungey place like this. I don’t really go out in Stockton, though… The drinks were very reasonably priced, about $ 5 – 8. Service and staff is friendly and it is definitely a comfortable atmosphere. The place looks pretty nice. They say it feels Las Vegas… but I think it kinda just feels like a nice bar/club in SF. Like I said — it’s not bad for Stockton. Hehe! Envy is located right behind the Midas tire place, adjacent to the left of the bowling alley. It was tough to find at first but once you know about it, you’ll always know its there.
