***NEW OWNERS*** BEWARE horrible, 1^st got there, and the lazy waiter offered a seafood menu only, I looked at it and left, she waved me down, and said, I have another menu, uhgggg I thought to myself… oh you wanted me to buy your pricey seafood, I just went for basic Mexican food! service was horrible, kept forgetting refills, napkins, …etc. straws, food portion was horrible! SEALING WAS CRACKED YOU CAN SEE ATTIC. back to my old spot, !! xiochmilco downtown Stockton, !NEVER AGAIN

I am new in town and I have tried other restaurants in this hellhole. I can say this is some really good food here! I love their tacos, enchiladas are yummy. I am in love with their shrimp cocktails and am ordering a chile verde burrito as I type for take out. This place rocks… I still need to go to their buffet!

I went to lunch Buffet here on a weekday. It was some of the poorest quality food I’ve ever had. The enchiladas were old store bought tortillas filled with minimal amounts of cheese. The chille rellenos were soggy and tiny. On top of it, the price of the buffet was over $ 11. I’ve had much better buffets for less money. I would avoid this place if I were you.

I was in the mood for some fresh mex, so I decided to give this place a try. After studying the menu, I decided to order the enchiladas. Definitely wasn’t disappointed. They hit all the right spots. I am planning a return trip to try their buffet.
Also, the service was top notch. The workers were very friendly and helped to create a warm and welcoming environment.
Garibaldis offers good food, and friendly service. They are definitely worth a trip out to Stockton.

Ate here last night after rave reviews from a few of the guys. Apparently the lunch buffet is the way to go, but our dinner experience was lacking. There were only three tables of customers, the first was just finishing their dinner, the other had two people who had already ordered, and the two of us. We placed our drink order and waited 20 minutes for the drinks, placed the food order and waited an hour. WTH?!? I ordered Chili Colorado. That’s supposed to be beef in red sauce, not pork in green sauce, which is Chili Verde. I ended up with pork in red sauce. Somebody tell me WTH THAT is??? And, for the record, I DO NOT EAT PORK. And the beans were refrigerator-​cold. My dogs ended up with a $ 10 meal.
I will try them again, only because the waitress was totally sweet, the restaurant is clean, they have Chardonnay instead of the standard Chablis, and they’re right around the corner. I’ll try to hit the buffet next time, because that does seem to get good reviews.

I had to update my review to this place… and I’m so bummed I have to give such a low rating. I used to frequent this place often but since the change in management, it’s just not the same. =(
I definitely need to find a new spot to enjoy good, authentic Mexican food!

oh my gosh. ok well i really never eat at mexican restaurants but i tried this place out just cause its near where i live. don’t want sound like a hater but it wasnt good at all. the place is nice and clean. the waitress was nice but didnt check up on us, we had to get up and call her. I had a combination plate of an enchilada, chile relleno and tamale they were ok (so i thought, half an our later i got the beegees) except for the relleno too greasy looking i didnt even touch it. And the bill was ridiculous for just two people. tried this place out won’t do it again. do give them props for there work, it’s not easy.
