Great Clips

Went here yesterday to get a hair cut after almost a year. I’m very picky when it comes to my hair it’s very wavy and thick so if it’s cut wrong it can look terrible. I had Christina and she was great! She young but knew exactly what she was doing, I appreciated that she checked with me before and after each step. She showed me exactly how much she was going to cut and let me approve it first. I will be back because of her, and who can beat the price!

Came in for a haircut real simple 1 on the sides faded into a 5 with bangs. Lady messed the fade up one side is faded high the other. She cut my bangs to short. I don’t understand how anyone that work at these places can mess up on my hair its so simple, all you need to do is make the lines straight. So don’t come here I paid $ 18 for a bad hair cut

Tried this Great Clips and was greeted immediately when I walked in. Waited about 5 minutes for a stylist to finish and then proceeded to get a very good haircut. No «sheep shearing» like other places I’ve been to. My stylist took her time and did a very good job! Need a good cut, go here! Very professional, clean and friendly!

Went in to get hair cut. Showed Kat a picture of what I wanted. I asked her if she wanted me look at pic while cutting she said no. She kept cutting then ask if I wanted bangs. I showed her the pic again. She said «oh». She didn’t even attempt to cut like I wanted. She cut it way to short. Never go back there again!!!

Can I just say I love these ladies. So very kid friendly, nice, quick, great price and they DO A REALLY GOOD JOB! This was our first visit but wont be our last definitely will be back! Loved this place!

So I walked I literally just right now and I didn’t know they were closing. Some lady with blue highlights in her hair had this bad attitude and was looking at me with a stank face. I was confused as to why she was looking at me like that. I asked if they were closed and she responded very rudely «yeah.» C’mon if you want people to be nice to you be nice to others. I dont even live in Stockton and I was just looking for a quick haircut. I havent even got to sit down for a haircut and this ugly heifer already gave me attitude? So why would I come back and actually get a haircut here when right when I walked in she gave me an attitude. C’mon you cut hair… you’re not a lawyer, doctor, professor, whatever. Your job is not as stressful as others. Don’t take it out on your customers before they even get a haircut. I’d never come here again since their worker is rude. I’m sure they’re all like that then.

With great fear and anxiety, I walked into Great Clips today for the $ 7.99 haircut special. The TV ads and signs up and down Hammer lane lured me in. The timing was perfect because I was in search of a new place to get my hair cut without having to spend a gajillion bucks! I was pleasantly surprised and VERY relieved, I posted my before and after pics so you can see the hair dresser had quite a challenging task. She did a great job. It feels a little off balance but not bad at all. If she would have been able to really wash and soak my hair before cutting she could probably measure it better. Since my hair has big curls it does start curling up pretty quickly with a spray bottle. I am not going to pretend that this is for everyone, but I’m usually up for a challenge and my hair grows really fast. I figured if it’s a bad haircut, it will grow back. Here’s the 4−1−1: Great Clips is not a full service salon and that is how they keep their prices low. The girl at the front desk was pleasant and courteous. I expected a long wait, or to be turned away, since the waiting area seats were full, however, I was told that it would be about 20 minutes. I went for a walk around the shopping center to kill some time and got back in about 15 minutes and I was told I was next. I was greeted by Jessica, she took me to her station and asked me what kind of cut I was looking for today. I had taken a picture of my former haircut to show her and asked if she could recreate that. She said it wouldn’t be a problem. I have to admit I wasn’t too convinced. I figured she would freak out once she actually realized that my hair is really thick and this may take awhile. They don’t shampoo or wash your hair so she just used a spray bottle to wet my hair and proceeded with the cut. She was very pleasant and has trained and worked at full service salons and although she really likes where she’s working now, she did admit that sometimes it is frustrating that they can’t really style the hair after the cut due to high volume. She was pretty quick and I was done in about 20 minutes.
The Pros: Cheap! $ 7.99 is a promo price but even the regular price is $ 13 so I tipped on the $ 13. No appointment necessary and they are open 7 days a week with evening hours and you can even download their app and check-​in online. There’s hardly any wait time. While I was there, I noticed people were in and out quite efficiently and seemed to be satisfied with their cuts. Since they don’t style the hair, they aren’t pushing products on you. The place is clean and well maintained. Parking is available right outside. Upon checkout I received a coupon for my next visit for a $ 8.99 special. Not bad.
The Cons: You can’t make an appointment with a specific hair dresser. You can call and find out if the person is working and show up but it’s still first come first serve so if there are people waiting before you get there, you will have to wait. The fact that they aren’t a full service salon means no hair styling so you can’t get shampoo or color or hair treatments. You just get a wet cut. Great for cut and go but not if you need something special. One of the hair dressers was on their cellphone while cutting someone’s hair which I thought was a bit unprofessional… but who knows what her situation was.
Not sure I would go back all the time but it’s a great option in a pinch.

Yeah, so if you want a lopsided haircut, given to you with dirty equipment in a shop that is way too hot, come here.

PROS: Inexpensive, quick, liked my cut.
CONS: Really rough on my head (I’m not a sensitive person either), blow dryer was very hot and she pointed it right next to my scalp for too long, tugging.
Depends who you get, the lady who did my hair was really anti social and clear about it.
Haven’t been back but if i don’t have money and need a cut i will.

Horrible experience. I went in and specifically requested a certain style with detailed instruction and the stylist did exactly the opposite. I literally had mushroom shaped hair on my head after a few weeks. I’ll never come here again, the great clips salon on country club is way better hands down! The stylist that ruined my hair was an older Indian lady for reference. The visit was a total waste of money.

I had never cut my hair short before and Sandra did a really good job. She gave me exactly what I was looking for and she blew it out and showed me different ways to style it. I love this place and will be back soon!

Daughter went here for a hair trim late in the evening tonight.
They are open 7 days a week… till 9 pm on weeknights.
We were the only customers in the store.
Store is very bright and cheerful as you can see from the photos.
Employees were very friendly even though it was late in the evening
and had been a long day for them. Daughter was very happy with
her hair cut and will return.
The employees were saying to bol for coupons for $ 7.99 hair cuts
on the back of Food4Less and S-​mart food receipts. On Mondays,
they have coupons for $ 6 hair cuts!
